LOGINBeta gnashed on his teeth. This cursed girl had reduced him to a commoner in the pack that the elders will now be interrogating?
What nonsense! He is the Beta of the pack and next to the Alpha himself by hierarchy. And he would have become the father in-law to the Alpha if this cursed thing hadn't ruined it by bringing her evilness to the pack gathering. “I forbid her from being a part of any gathering in the pack because I am the Beta of this pack and the reason for that decision is because she was cursed. She was born with a curse and should have died long ago and be forgotten if Nana here hadn't intercepted it” he gnawed, his gaze feisty against the old pack healer. The elders exchanged glances and the beta felt elated. They should acknowledge his decision and know that he was right to have issued that decree and decision. Elder Kaitano stamped his walking stick on the floor and nodded as if agreeing with what Beta Night had said. “You said she was cursed from birth. Tell us the nature of the curse if perhaps we can find a cure for it” Before Beta could respond, the former Luna intercepted “This is a deviation from the reason this meeting was summoned. Please elders, can we ignore the non relevant matter and conclude what needs to be concluded?” The irritation in her voice cannot be overlooked. Her son has been crowned the new Alpha and she's been held behind by matters that make no sense. That's Ridiculous! “I think the former Luna should either exercise a little more patience or we at this moment, lift the ban placed on Amelia and make her have every privilege and access in this pack like every other member. We are not charlatans, nor do we enjoy spending time staying behind when everyone else has gone to their homes. Do you agree with that?” Elder Kaitano stamped his stick angrily. “Please your majesty, can I briefly explain what made that girl cursed?” Beta Night hurriedly explained. He cannot afford to let her be free. That would ruin things for his dear daughter Chelsea. “She was born and my mate died. Her birth brought about my empty and lonely life. Rather than being happy, I mourned the death of my mate. Isn't that enough for her to be a cursed child? As if that was not enough, she grew up without a wolf. She's worthless, an Omega. I am a warrior, my daughter Chelsea took after me, but that curse in a fleshy form is not. I thereby proclaimed her cursed” Beta sneered. There were murmurings and silent whispers among the elders. Nana shook her head. Only today, did she know that Beta Night has a small brain. How can he utter such nonsense from his mouth and feel no shame about it? He's a warrior and a Beta. He can handle the sword and kill rogues in their hundreds without bringing down his sword. He is a shapeshifter but never had she known that he has a low IQ. A very small brain. “Is that all that made her cursed?” Elder Kaitano asked, his voice shaking. This innocent girl has suffered humiliation from every member of the pack including his own grandchildren. She was denied several privileges and the reason is just what the beta said? “Is it not enough to make her a cursed worthless Omega?” Beta Night snared back. His eyes filled with contempt and fury. The elders exchanged glances and shook their heads. Is this how this man had been? Is this how unjustly he had treated this girl? Why didn't anyone ask questions all these years? “If that is the reason why she was termed being cursed, that is unfair to her. I hope the Alpha hears this and issues a decree against that. If I remember correctly, your mate was sick and had a premature birth. If she died, it's because her health was not in order to sustain her after the birth. Amelia was born immature and she became sickly all these years. How can that be her fault? How can you say she was responsible for your mate's death? And do you realise that her mother's death deprived her of the love of a mother and the privilege of sucking her mother's milk like every other child? Did she beg to be born? Was it not your doing that resulted in your mate being pregnant with Amelia? In what way has this been her fault Beta Night? Besides, is she the only Omega in the cliffwood pack? How can she be affirmed to be cursed because she's an Omega? This is injustice and the Alpha must hear about it. Something needs to be done and it's urgent” elder Kaitano declared. He glanced at the other elders and they nodded in affirmation. The Former Alpha and his mate couldn't utter a word. They were also gobsmacked at the Beta's words. Sometimes it is always better to be quiet than say things that make others question your intelligence. “As for being imprisoned, I suggest that the Alpha reconsider his decision. It is understandable that Nana pleaded that he shouldn't reject her because she's wolfless and might not be able to survive the rejection. He can spare her life by finding other means. If she needs to move to another pack, it would be awesome rather than being a rogue. And if the only way to deal with this is by rejection, then that's her fate. The moon goddess knows her vulnerability and yet destined her with the Alpha. She knows her weakness and would help her survive” Elder Kaitano concluded. “Did you do justice here, elder Kaitano? If the Alpha doesn't reject her, he cannot be mated to another and the pack would be without Luna? Even if he chooses a concubine, how can the future heir be born? Only Luna can birth the future Alpha. Should my son now become stranded because he is trying to save a mere Omega whose usefulness doesn't mean anything to the pack? That is never going to happen. The Alpha must reject his mate in order to have his Luna” the former Alpha Stone declared. The other elders reasoned and consulted within themselves. What Alpha Stone said was the truth. The pack needs a Luna and a weak Omega cannot be the Luna. And if the Alpha doesn't reject her, there would not be another mate for him. Who then will be Luna, ruling alongside him? How will the future Alpha be born?Six months later Everyone was assembled in front of the door that held a lot of screams and hope. Nana, king Zee's parents, Beta Sam and Siera, Mira and Emile, and an agitated king Zee. So far, Amelia was in there with the flock of medical practitioners that king Zee had insisted would be there during the birth of their pup. “I should be in there with her. Why did I agree to wait for five minutes before going in?” He murmured as he continued to pace back and forth. making almost everyone dizzy. “Probably so you would not make her as dizzy as you are making some of us with your pacing” Beta Sam said. King Zee growled and looked at him and Beta Sam raised his hands in surrender and stood up. “She will be fine. Everything will be fine. She is a very strong woman and an even stronger wolf” Beta Sam said, trying to calm king Zee down. “Even though the pup she is birthing a pup that is a breed of the two strongest kinds of wolves?” He asked him. “Yes, even though she is. She is g
“What are you talking about? You have not even mentioned that time we spent together since that day. So I thought that-” He interrupted her, “so you thought what? That I did not care? That I did not want to take you as many times as I did the last time?” He asked her. “Sierra, I have pushed away some women from my life because I moved too fast with them. Do you know how hard it has been to speak to you everyday after that day and not say anything about it? About how I felt and how you made me feel? I wanted to give you your space to think about what happened that day. So you would also be sure that it did not just happen because of our fear of death like you claimed when I told you that I loved you. And look around you, Sierra. Everything is a mess. I wanted to make sure that when I told you that I loved you again, that you would trust it. That you would see that it is not driven by the residual fear of war but the fear of losing you. I love you, Sierra. I fucking love yo
Amelia mind linked king Zee and told him of her next destination and he immediately sent some warriors for back up even though he knew that Amelia could get rid of ten thousand warriors on her own, he was still scared of the poison, because he had not known that she was already over it. Amelia was now driven by anger at Alpha Kasper's audacity to think he could end her. With the rogue Alpha of all people? She was pissed. When she got to the Crescent pack, she began flinging the warriors away like flies and some even tried to run for their lives, no longer caring to fight. But she did not care, she killed everyone that came in her path. Even if they survived, she did not need them as her warriors when she took over her throne, so they were useless. “Kasper!” Amelia roared loudly as she got to Alpha Kasper's house. The walls trembled and everyone that was in or around the royal house ran out in scattered patterns in fear. She saw his parents, but they were not her concern at tha
The fight went on for a long time. Although they were winning, they were also losing their warriors. When the rogue alpha saw that victory was not on his side, he turned around and ran. Amelia spotted him and immediately began to go after. “Amelia, no. I will not let you go alone. This could be a trap” King Zee mind linked her. But Amelia insisted, “your warriors are dying. You have to stay and fight. Beta Sam is already making sure that they do not extend further to the rest of the pack but you have to stay. And you know it” she said. King Zee watched her wolf run into the forest and was almost caught off guard by two wolves that plunged toward him. He moved swiftly and pulled their heads together, causing them to hit each other's head, and taking themselves out. Beta Sam mind linked king Zee, “I have been injured” he said. “What? Sam? Sam!” He said into the mind link as he looked around for Beta Sam. He was nowhere to be seen. “I can continue fighting. Amelia has gone to fi
The noise finally came to her and they moved past with great speed that if they were not so much, she would not have seen them. “Rogues,” she said to herself. “They are headed for the pack” she said and slowly let her body give in to the demand of sleep and rested her head on the tree. “This is my life now. I need to get used to it until I die. Which could even be now” she said to herself as she adjusted her neck on the wall and the tears came flooding down again. Sierra, Mira and Emille watched king Zee, Amelia and Beta Sam walk out together in full armour accompanied by a multitude of warriors. With some already on the battlefield, and others waiting for command. “Do you think they will be okay?” Mira asked no one in particular. “I hope they all make it back safely,” Emile said. And Sierra felt the guilt from her last conversation with Beta Sam sink in, “He promised to come back,” she said. Her sister hugged her tightly as they watched them get onto their horses. The gates o
Amelia and king Zee walked out of the home office with full armour, with Amelia in the one that was prepared for her a long time ago. “I know that you are a warrior. In your past life and even now. I also know that I can not keep you in this palace forever because of fear. So you need this, so that when the time comes, you will be ready” he said to her on the first day the armour was brought to them. Everyone in the household was moving quickly but in eerie silence. They had gotten the code drill and were following all protocols to make sure that no one came in or out of the house just in case. King Zee mind linked his parents and told them that he was leaving. He had told them of the attack, and since he was now leaving with his mate, they had to protect themselves in the house. “...we will be back,” he finished and said goodbye to his parents. King Zee and Amelia went to the spy and told him what needed to be done. But there were more problems to be met. The former spy expla
Half an hour later, Amelia returned to the house, her clothes drenched and plastered against her thin body. Her golden coloured hair dripped water and she stood with her head bowed. Nana saw her and sighed softly. She'd been bullied again. That has always been Amelia's fate since she was a chi
Nana rushed over, her aged body moved swiftly as it could carry her and tapped Amelia on her shoulders. The sudden jolting of her body had awakened her and she just was in time to see her eyes return back to normal from its yellowish colour. She saw her skin covered in sweat and she knew, i
The White wolf bled, it's a night when the world stood still: The wind dared not whisper, the ancient pines of Cliffwood seemed frozen. No one moved, no creature crawled, even the moon , hung frozen in the sky. At the centre stood Amelia, the Alpha of the Cliffwood pack, the last of the white w
“Oh no, you will come along with me. If not for the ceremony, you'll help me with my bag. My old shoulders should have a relief with you around” Nana insisted. She just wants Amelia to have this experience of a lifetime. Who knows, if she never gets a chance to witness another. “But y
