LOGINHalf an hour later, Amelia returned to the house, her clothes drenched and plastered against her thin body. Her golden coloured hair dripped water and she stood with her head bowed.
Nana saw her and sighed softly. She'd been bullied again. That has always been Amelia's fate since she was a child. She suffered such humiliation from age group and that made her stop going to the warriors training. “Go in and take a bath my child. Don't say anything, I know what had probably happened” Nana said and Amelia walked away quietly to have her bath. While bathing, Amelia's tears rolled down her cheeks. She was bullied, slapped and had water poured on her head by none other than her sister's friends. Chelsea was her father's beloved daughter. Her sister had bullied her several times in the presence of her friends and even gave them an assignment to bully her wherever they saw her. She was told they share the same parents but her sister was the special, gifted child while she, a dregs in the pack. Her sister was a shapeshifter, beautiful and a good master of the sword. She's entirely different from her. Even if she was told they had the same parents, it's difficult for her to believe it. How can she be so useless and cursed, entirely different from her sister. She's the bravest of the ladies in the pack and admired by many. The Alpha and Luna were so proud of her that they turned a blind eye to the romance going on between their son and her. But the reason why Chelsea hates her so much, was still so unclear to her. She claimed she was the reason why she had no mother anymore and dad lost his mate. She was cursed to bring pain and sorrow to everyone around her. She never spares to show her hatefulness. It's either she ridicules her or calls her the filth of the pack, or she makes others mock her. She wished she was allowed to die when she was born. Why did Nana save her only to grow up to experience such a thick layer of hatefulness on each passing day? Sometimes, she was left to accept that perhaps, she was really cursed. At puberty, her age groups already got their wolves except her. She's an Omega and a wolfless one at that. She hopes that one day, she will be able to live a normal life like everyone else. A few weeks later, it will be her eighteenth birthday the next day. It was also the day for the coronation of the new Alpha. For generations now, it has always been on the day of the coronation that the new Alpha meets his mate, the Luna that will rule alongside him. Being eighteen made no difference to Amelia. She is cursed and has never been allowed to participate in any occasion in the pack. Her curse would rub off on them and even if she tries, her father, the Beta would be the first to wipe her with an iron whip if he has to. Having a mate was totally out of Amelia's thoughts. She'd been given a chance to be alive, thanks to Nana. How can she be extravagant to tolerate the thought of having a mate. That's asking for too much! “Amelia, tomorrow is going to be a memorable day in the history of our pack” Nana said, preparing a healing balm with Amelia blending the ingredients together. “Hmmm…” Amelia hummed. It's going to be a memorable day for those who are invited. For her, it doesn't leave any memory in her. “You know, so many people only experience it once in a lifetime. The coronation of the new Alpha of the pack. And more than that, it's also the day that the new Luna will be known. Sometimes, two occasions are done on that day. The coronation and the mating ceremony of the Alpha and Luna. Other Alphas are invited from other packs and the ceremonial ground will be packed full…” Nana tattled on. Amelia was already thinking. She wished she could be there, to witness her resentful sister get mated to the Alpha. Everyone already predicted that she's going to be the chosen mate for the Alpha. But she's a forbidden member of the pack. She's cursed, she cannot be anywhere around them. This is her fate, her destiny and so it will remain with her. “...you will be coming with me to this occasion, Amelia” Nana concluded and raised her head to glance at this apprentice of hers. “What...no…I'm not coming” Amelia snapped her head up.“What are you talking about? You have not even mentioned that time we spent together since that day. So I thought that-” He interrupted her, “so you thought what? That I did not care? That I did not want to take you as many times as I did the last time?” He asked her. “Sierra, I have pushed away some women from my life because I moved too fast with them. Do you know how hard it has been to speak to you everyday after that day and not say anything about it? About how I felt and how you made me feel? I wanted to give you your space to think about what happened that day. So you would also be sure that it did not just happen because of our fear of death like you claimed when I told you that I loved you. And look around you, Sierra. Everything is a mess. I wanted to make sure that when I told you that I loved you again, that you would trust it. That you would see that it is not driven by the residual fear of war but the fear of losing you. I love you, Sierra. I fucking love yo
Amelia mind linked king Zee and told him of her next destination and he immediately sent some warriors for back up even though he knew that Amelia could get rid of ten thousand warriors on her own, he was still scared of the poison, because he had not known that she was already over it. Amelia was now driven by anger at Alpha Kasper's audacity to think he could end her. With the rogue Alpha of all people? She was pissed. When she got to the Crescent pack, she began flinging the warriors away like flies and some even tried to run for their lives, no longer caring to fight. But she did not care, she killed everyone that came in her path. Even if they survived, she did not need them as her warriors when she took over her throne, so they were useless. “Kasper!” Amelia roared loudly as she got to Alpha Kasper's house. The walls trembled and everyone that was in or around the royal house ran out in scattered patterns in fear. She saw his parents, but they were not her concern at tha
The fight went on for a long time. Although they were winning, they were also losing their warriors. When the rogue alpha saw that victory was not on his side, he turned around and ran. Amelia spotted him and immediately began to go after. “Amelia, no. I will not let you go alone. This could be a trap” King Zee mind linked her. But Amelia insisted, “your warriors are dying. You have to stay and fight. Beta Sam is already making sure that they do not extend further to the rest of the pack but you have to stay. And you know it” she said. King Zee watched her wolf run into the forest and was almost caught off guard by two wolves that plunged toward him. He moved swiftly and pulled their heads together, causing them to hit each other's head, and taking themselves out. Beta Sam mind linked king Zee, “I have been injured” he said. “What? Sam? Sam!” He said into the mind link as he looked around for Beta Sam. He was nowhere to be seen. “I can continue fighting. Amelia has gone to fi
The noise finally came to her and they moved past with great speed that if they were not so much, she would not have seen them. “Rogues,” she said to herself. “They are headed for the pack” she said and slowly let her body give in to the demand of sleep and rested her head on the tree. “This is my life now. I need to get used to it until I die. Which could even be now” she said to herself as she adjusted her neck on the wall and the tears came flooding down again. Sierra, Mira and Emille watched king Zee, Amelia and Beta Sam walk out together in full armour accompanied by a multitude of warriors. With some already on the battlefield, and others waiting for command. “Do you think they will be okay?” Mira asked no one in particular. “I hope they all make it back safely,” Emile said. And Sierra felt the guilt from her last conversation with Beta Sam sink in, “He promised to come back,” she said. Her sister hugged her tightly as they watched them get onto their horses. The gates o
Amelia and king Zee walked out of the home office with full armour, with Amelia in the one that was prepared for her a long time ago. “I know that you are a warrior. In your past life and even now. I also know that I can not keep you in this palace forever because of fear. So you need this, so that when the time comes, you will be ready” he said to her on the first day the armour was brought to them. Everyone in the household was moving quickly but in eerie silence. They had gotten the code drill and were following all protocols to make sure that no one came in or out of the house just in case. King Zee mind linked his parents and told them that he was leaving. He had told them of the attack, and since he was now leaving with his mate, they had to protect themselves in the house. “...we will be back,” he finished and said goodbye to his parents. King Zee and Amelia went to the spy and told him what needed to be done. But there were more problems to be met. The former spy expla
“The antidote is ready,” he announced. “Oh, perfect!” King Zee exclaimed. Beta Sam and Amelia looked at him proudly. “And you are sure that it works, right?” Amelia asked him. “Yes, your majesty. Tested on only the permitted items and everything else. But no wolf contact yet, the Luna has not tested it.” he said to king Zee. Amelia and Zee both shared a look when a guard came to call Beta Sam for an urgent matter. “We will be with you soon, good job” king Zee said to the former spy and walked away with Amelia. They knew what it meant. No matter how much the spy tested the antidote, it was not tested on any of them. So they still did not know if it would work on Amelia, especially with her powers. Her body fights off a lot of things, including antidotes. “We will try it whenever you are ready, no rush” King Zee said, but that was about to change. Beta Sam came running to them and king Zee immediately became alert. “What is it, Sam?!” He questioned. “There has been an attack on
Alpha Kasper carried Chelsea with all difficulty into the carriage and headed back to Cliffwood pack. He'd come with excitement with his Luna to attend the King's mating ceremony without having an idea of the shock that awaits him. By the time they arrived at the Cliffwood pack, Chelsea could
A certain group of people squinted and exchanged glances. Isn't this woman the legendary white wolf, the one the rogue Alpha ordered them to find? They had disguised themselves and came to witness the King's mating ceremony. They needed to take their findings back to the rogue Alpha. And now
Nancy stood up quickly and Amelia was surprised at the fury coming from King Zee. Was she wrong to have said such during lunch? Perhaps, she was supposed to keep it to herself and tell him later, when they are alone. She saw his entire body covered in fur and he was more than half way transfor
The White wolf bled, it's a night when the world stood still: The wind dared not whisper, the ancient pines of Cliffwood seemed frozen. No one moved, no creature crawled, even the moon , hung frozen in the sky. At the centre stood Amelia, the Alpha of the Cliffwood pack, the last of the white w
