I swear I tried, but I couldn't focus on anything except Ivy’s chest. I always knew she had a good body, but looking at her pale nipples for the first time was making me lose any semblance of restraint.

Ivy was freshly eighteen, I was already twenty-two. The age gap wasn't immense, but I was always aware of how off-limits she was because of it... until I got gifted with a bond that basically gave me permission to notice all those things I spent most of the time trying to ignore.

It had been two days already, but it was still difficult for me to flip the switch and come to terms with the fact that Ivy wasn't just a girl I was training, or a good friend… she was suddenly mine. My woman.

And I was allowed to touch and look. And desire her openly.

"Rem," Ivy repeated with a growl and a scowl on that pretty face, "You don't feel attracted to me then?"

"Why are you just going around without a bra?" I asked when I was finally able to snap out of it and I took a step closer to her.

  • The Omega Who Walked Away   Gifted

{ Ivy } "RIVER! RIVER!" I yell, hard as hell. The walls here are thick, so it takes me four more yells before the front door of Cassie's apartment opens. My brother comes out ready for anything, then his eyes drop down to us, "Help me. He passed out." "Wh-Oh, what the fuck happened?" he makes a face when he sees the state of Rem, "What is that on his chest?" Burnt flesh. Really awfully burnt flesh and I want to eat a bullet because I did it. And now he passed out from the pain or... I don't even know, to be honest. "Just help me get him inside," I beg, going to open the door of our apartment, then carefully putting Rem flat on the ground so I can grab his shoulders. River moves to grab his legs and we start moving him. "What happened?" Ash asks, walking out of Cassie's apartment and following us. I can hear Cassie coming after him, but he's faster and the sight of Rem passed out makes his eyes bug out in fear, "Wh—is he okay?" "Yes, he's super perfect," I lie, pointing at the co

  • The Omega Who Walked Away   I Had To

"No," Ivy cries, burning me more. I don't want to shove her away, but even if I tried to, it wouldn’t be easy. She's actually pining me down with the strength of a man much, much bigger than me… or the strength of a powerful woman. Either way, this shit hurts so much, I groan and throw my head back, "I want an explanation. I haven't created any chaos lately! Is it because you've had to take care of Ash for like a month now, without me? Do you think I'm a bad mother?... Am I a bad mother?" "Please," I grab her hand and try to actually shove her away from me, "Ivy, please! Stop!" She doesn't stop, but this is too much. It's just too much, so I actually push her away as hard as I can and my legs give out because I'm trying to deal with the pain. It's not even a burning pain, it feels a lot deeper than that. "Fuck," I growl, grabbing my scorched shirt and ripping it open through the burnt hole. My skin is red and raw and it's the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. I have to grit

  • The Omega Who Walked Away   This And More

"No. He's not dumb enough to spew some bullshit about you to me," my brother says with an obvious look. That's true, Rem wouldn't do that. Instead, he'd keep it to himself, he'd become withdrawn and slowly begin to pull away from me. So, once all of this mess is done and I tell him I'm leaving with Ash, he'll just let me go. He'll say: ‘good luck, Ivy. You can use my money all you want, see you when Ash decides if he wants to be an Alpha or not’. Yes. That is exactly what's going to happen and I— The door opens while I'm still spiraling, and the apartment fills with Cassie's voice telling Remington some story and making him laugh like it's the funniest thing in the world. His face is actually red, like he's been laughing with her for hours. "Oh, Ives," he says, stopping for a second in shock. I wanted to surprise him, but he doesn't look as excited to see me as I expected. There we go, he's sick of me, "What are you doing here? What did you say to Jeremy?" "I said ‘Jeremy, I h

  • The Omega Who Walked Away   Not Yet

“Oh! Mom!" Ashton shrieks in excitement the second he spots me walking inside Cassie’s apartment and runs to jump on me like a little koala. I swear he's bigger now than he was two weeks ago when I left for Hierich. I hold him and kiss his cheek a bunch of times, then I put him back on the ground to inspect him. All of him. "What the hell? You're so much taller than when I left," I let out, in actual shock. He's now almost up to my chest, "What have they been feeding you?" "Just the normal stuff," my son responds with an excited smile and stands even straighter to show how big he is, "Rem cooks more. He did burgers for me the other day." "Really? Did you like them?" I ask with a dumb smile, looking to my brother as he lounges on the couch, rolling his eyes at the mere mention of Rem.He’s the only other adult here at the moment. "Yeah, I liked them… but I still like the fast-food ones better," he whispers to me, like it's a secret, "Don't tell him I said that. He was excited to

  • The Omega Who Walked Away   Which One Is It

Jeremy's packhouse is just as pretentious and big as Remington's, except less dark. There's more of a romantic, open vibe and that might be because of his mother. A very nice woman. I think Tatiana completely traumatized me because I was expecting psychological warfare as soon as Jeremy introduced us, but his mom was simply genuinely nice. I don't think we're going to be best friends by any means, but at least she won't call me horrible names the whole time I’m here and that’s a win in my eyes. Jeremy excitedly shows me the whole house until we reach his bedroom. "This is my childhood bedroom, but... I was promised a bigger one to share with my wife," he tells me as I cross my arms and look around. This is a gigantic bedroom and it doesn't look child-like at all. It's all dark colors and masculine energy. "It's fine, I don't mind this room for the meantime," I murmur and walk to his bed, then I sit down there and once I have his eyes on me, I lean back all the way. Jeremy comes

  • The Omega Who Walked Away   Are We There Yet

"You're always so hard for me," I hum in appreciation, grinding on his hardness. Rem grabs my head and brings me closer roughly, trying to force me to kiss him. I really love it when he's not careful with me, "Or was it all that Alpha talk that got you going? Planning and plotting?" "Shut up," he demands, turning the tables right away. In just a second, my back is against the mattress and he's on top of me, "I should buy you a ball-gag." "How dare you," I growl in false offense, but I actually wouldn't hate it. Like, at all, "You'd gag your beloved fated mate? Rude. Evil." "And I should tie you down, too," he continues, moving down to kiss my lips, then my chin, then my neck and my mark, sucking on it as soon as he gets the chance. I moan and my hips shoot up, begging for him to touch me already. Luckily, he knows exactly what I need and starts unbuttoning my tight pants, then pulls them off me, "Does that thought scare you? Being at my mercy?" "No, Rem, that doesn't scare me at a
