Eighteen

I couldn’t sleep properly last night. Flashback of Kim being shot recurred in my head. It felt like I could’ve still saved her, but I left. I knew I had no power to do anything and the gunshot would've killed me too. If only I had gone earlier, If only I was a bit stronger as a werewolf to heal from a gunshot if I had saved her. As much as I felt guilty for Kim’s death, my curiosity was eating me up pretty badly. What did she have to tell me? Was our pack in danger? Why did she want to tell me and on one else? Why did her killer take her bag and paper? What was in it?

“Stupid me. I could’ve picked the paper on the floor while she searched for whatever she was searching for. What did the dark heart behind the paper symbolize?” I questioned myself and groaned at my puzzled state.

There was a knock on the room door, accompanied by Mason’s voice, “is the omega in here?”

“yes, I am.” I replied and scuttled to the door to open it.

“Good morning, Gamma.” I bowed my head.

“Alpha is calling
