Himari’s POV. - Standing outside the supposed building I’ll be living from now on, I gulp, wearing my perplexity as I peer up at the rickety two-story building four feet away from my position. It’s situated behind the Packhouse and for starters, the porch looks so old and practically falling apart, with gathered patches of moss here and there. Then there’s the fading paint on the body of the house, giving it a very sickly appearance. ‘Oh boy, this is my new house?’ Truly, Omegas aren’t regarded with any form of respect at all. Himari’s POV. - I slam the door shut once I enter the toilet stall. Placing my hands over my heaving chest as I let my bag drop onto the floor. My knees buckle under my weight, knocking themselves out and bringing my back sliding down the door until my butt meets the tiled floor. Still panting and unable to restore the normal rhythm of breath, I tuck my head between my trembling knees, putting my arms around them. Himari’s POV. - Jake squats next to my feet, reaching a hand to grab both my ankles with great pressure that has my body wringing from the pain affecting the area. Tears brim in my eyes as I bite my lips, pleading with my gaze as I meet his. He huffs, retracting his hand and standing up. I watch the silent way he rakes his eyes up and down my body and I recoil into myself. “Will you give it to me, when I tell you what it is I want, shrimp?” He smirks, a strange coating over his voice that drives nails of paranoia into my muscles as I cower beneath his penetrating stare. Himari’s POV. - “Mari, you don’t have to bother about breakfast for the lot at the house, just focus on making the Alpha and Luna’s meals and send it to their private dining once you’re done” Elsa returns to the kitchen, tying her bob hair into a short ponytail. “Oh, okay” I give her a nod, a little uneasy that she wants to handle everything else. “Um, wouldn’t that be too much for you alone to handle?” Especially seeing as the people living in the Packhouse is way so many than those living separately. Himari’s POV. - I cry until my throat hurts and no more tears pour out, my body falling back and my head falling against something soft and small. Oriel wiggles out from beneath my head and I smile amidst the tears on my face to see my little friend staring at me with large black curious eyes. A brief shadow passes over us and I feel Talon’s presence. “If anything, for the sake of you guys and all those who care so much about me...I want to be useful as well and find a meaning to this existence” The words slip out my lips as my vision begins to glaze over. Himari’s POV. - I can no longer feel my lower body at all in this forced kneeling position I’ve been fixed into, having my head pressured to the cold concrete floor. How can they be so cruel and heartless to a helpless little Omega?
