CHLOE POV

   "Chloe, protect your face. Your hands should be up," the older female roars before she punches me right in the cheek.

  I stagger back, and Haven growls.

Haven- Focus Chloe. You usually are better than this

   I huff as I try to push my emotions from my mind and focus on my boxing class. But no matter how hard I try, I can't do it. I can't stop thinking about the upcoming hunt and whether or not Logan will be here looking for his new mate.

  "Come on, Chloe. Last week you owned this class," Karina cheers from the sidelines as I block a left.

     I close my eyes briefly and take a deep breath. I begin to picture my mom's last fight. I recall how fluid her movements were and how she just seemed to know what the wolf would do next.

  When I reopen my eyes, my thoughts are clear.
