Chapter Twenty-Two

The Dark Lord's eyes widened in shock and pain, but before he could retaliate, King Edward stabbed him again, this time in the heart. The Dark Lord's body collapsed to the ground, his hold on the darkness broken forever.

Exhausted but victorious, King Edward and I looked out over the battlefield. Our allies had perished, but we had saved the kingdom from the clutches of the Dark Lord. As dawn broke, we stood among the fallen, our hearts heavy with grief but our spirits unbroken.

We knew that the war was far from over, and that new threats would always arise. But for now, we rested, our bond stronger than ever, knowing that we would face any challenge together, as we had always done.

As the sun rose over the kingdom, we began the process of burying our fallen brethren. Each grave is marked with a simple stone bearing the emblem of the kingdom, a symbol of their sacrifice and bravery. We honored their memory, vowing to continue their fight for peace and justice until the very end.
