I opened my eyes and found Vanquish staring down at me. Still strung across his thigh.

“Did it work.”

“You’re a genius.” I sat up and twisted to catch his face. Applying my lips to his in a long kiss. I leapt to my feet to run back to the cottage. But his vise grip on my wrist brought me to a dead stop before I started.

I gave him a slow look.

“Ah, ah. I helped you. I deserve to know what you’ve discovered.”

“So many siblings, Vanquish.” I dropped to my knees next to him. Excitement written over me. “More than I thought.”

“More than the two that died?”

“Yes.” I nodded.

“Are they alive?” His voice rose with interest.

“I don’t know…But I desperately want to.”

“What are their names?”

“Killian, Aviari, and Baila Lae.”
