I did not expect Alpha Ramin’s offer to hold me. Honestly, when he said he had an offer for me, I expected him to offer me a shit ton of money to go away and never see his son again.

I was ready to curse him out and tell him to shove his money up his ass.

Instead, he opened his arms and something deep inside me stirred, something that felt an awful lot like the little girl who always wished she had a father. It felt like Alpha Ramin flayed me open leaving me raw and vulnerable.

VivienneI did not expect Alpha Ramin’s offer to hold me. Honestly, when he said he had an offer for me, I expected him to offer me a shit ton of money to go away and never see his son again.I was ready to curse him out and tell him to shove his money up his ass.Instead, he opened his arms and something deep inside me stirred, something that felt an awful lot like the little girl who always wished she had a father. It felt like Alpha Ramin flayed me open leaving me raw and vulnerable.I wanted to deny him. I wanted to say no, that I didn’t need him or anyone, but that little girl wouldn’t let me. Instead, I walked into his arms and let him hold me.And then the dam broke. All the pain, all the hurt, all the years of wishing I had a father who would protect me, care for me, and love me came pouring out of me.Rather than scoffing at me, he held me tighter, he told me he’s got me, and he held me while I fell apart.I’m not a woman who cries. I learned long ago not to shed tears, espec

  • The Pack's Rogue   Chapter 46: The Offer

ArmanIf I wasn’t so fucking proud of Vivenne for standing up for herself, I’d have punched my father in the face for what he said.As it is, I’ll accept the look of shock on his face as Vivienne’s verbal slap. However, underneath my fury, I can’t help but feel proud. She told my father and my entire pack that after everything she’s been through, which is even more than they realize, there are only two men in this world that she respects – Quirin and me.I’m sure if she spent more time with the Hills and Bishops she’d respect them as well. They are some of the best men and Alphas I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I’m thankful my cousin is mated to one of them. But Vivienne hasn’t had the interaction with them that I’ve had. So for her to name me as one of two men she trusts, the other being the man she’s chosen as her Alpha, says a lot about the respect I’ve earned from her.‘Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s obviously working,’ Kian says. He’s as furious with our father as I

VivenneWhen we get downstairs, I get the same curious stares from before, but everyone is polite.Once we’re outside, I take a deep breath. The air around the pack smells clean and fresh.“Unlike some of the northern packs, like Alpha Henry's and Alpha Connor's, we don’t have hills and mountains here. We do, however, have a lovely river that flows from the north right through our pack lands. It’s deep enough for pack members to swim in and it’s a favorite spot for pups in the summer,” he says as we walk. “Do you get snow in Alpha Quirin’s pack?”“Not a lot, but we get a dusting a couple times a year. I understand from Piper that they get heavier show in her area.”“We rarely get any snow here, once a year at most.”“Even the Academy gets more than that,” I say.“Well, they are a couple hours north of us. It’s definitely a different climate here, more moderate and therefore better, if you ask me.”I laugh. “It’s good to know you like your pack lands, Alpha. I can’t imagine what it woul

  • The Pack's Rogue   Chapter 44: Introductions

Vivienne“Am I right that you don’t want me to introduce you to the pack as my mate and Luna?” Arman asks as we drive up to the packhouse.“I would very much appreciate it if you didn’t,” I say, knowing that is not the answer he wants to hear, but it’s the only one I can give him right now.Even coming here seems like a terrible idea. There’s no way the pack won’t smell our scents on each other. I doubt the omegas will keep quiet about me sleeping in his room. They may not guess that I’m his mate, but they’ll know we’re together.“Remember, if you hate it, I’ll take you home,” he says, taking my hand in his.I nod, but I already agreed to stay for a couple of days. No matter how hard it is, I won’t ask him to take me back before these two days are done unless the elite squads are ready to go back out because I know this is important to him. I know he needs to be here, and he’s been putting me and my needs ahead of the needs of his pack. This is the least I can do to pay him back. When

  • The Pack's Rogue   Chapter 43: The Car Ride

ArmanI’m so glad Vivienne agreed to come to my pack. Not only will this give me more time with her, but it will give her an opportunity to get to know the kind of Alpha that I am. I know her experience with Alphas is terrible, her own father killed her mother for goddess’ sake. So, it’s important to me that she knows I’m not like them in any way.I’m also hoping that she’ll feel comfortable enough to come back. I know from our minimal conversations that she never felt comfortable in a pack before going to Alpha Quirin’s. I’m hoping her experience in my pack will show her that there are packs which are accepting of others. And my pack better be fucking accepting of her.We had another night where we once again found pleasure in each other, only this time we made it to the bed and I got to sleep stretched out instead of cramped on the couch. This morning, I can feel her nervousness about going to my pack.“Hey, if you hate it, if you’re uncomfortable, I’ll take you home. I don’t want yo

  • The Pack's Rogue   Chapter 42: Arman's Request

VivienneThe only good thing about these last two days is that we were able to get another woman and her pup off the streets. The Alpha Squad wasn’t able to find any of the Alphas or anyone else they think is running this operation. It was strangely quiet while we were there.“We need eyes in the dead zone. It’s too dangerous not being able to see what’s going on,” Hijack said.I would have told him that my team didn’t mind staying out, but Alpha Quirin has ordered us to come in. This time, it’s not just for a night. Apparently, Alpha Warren, soon to be Councilman Warren, purchased new cameras for the dead zone, and Alpha Quirin said we need to wait until they’re up before we go back out.I argued with him and lost. So, we’re coming in indefinitely.“You should go see your sister,” Clarissa says as we head back to the Academy.“Is that what you’re going to do?” I ask her. She has family in a pack that’s about four hours away.“If we’re really coming in for a few days, I definitely am.
