Chapter Forty Two
Kay is by my side when I open my eyes. I'm in hospital clothes and I have a tube sticking out of me. I touch my head as I seat up trying to check out my surrounding.
"Thank God you're up" Kay says.
A nurse is by her side and when she sees I'm up, she comes to me checking my temperature and all that..I try to keep my eyes opened.

"You look fine Miss Brooks. You just need to regulate your eating and what you eat. I write down some things you need to stick too. There are also some snacks you can take" she scribbles something down and hands it to Kay.
