Cole

I sat at the dining table, one hand scrolling through emails, the other holding my mug of coffee.

The sound of soft footsteps on the stairs made me pause. I looked up and there she was—Skylar.

“Good morning,” she whispered as she reached me, leaning forward to press a soft kiss on my lips.

I couldn’t help but smile. “Good morning, honey. How did you sleep?”

“Like a baby,” she replied with a small grin, sitting on the chair beside me.

Just then, the kitchen door opened, and Ingrid stepped out, carrying a plate of freshly cut-up fruits. She set it gently in front of Skylar.

“Good morning, dear. Here you go. Make sure you finish everything.”

“Thank you, Ingrid,” Skylar said warmly.

Ingrid gave a small nod before returning to the kitchen.

I took a sip of my coffee and turned back to Skylar. “So… have you spoken with Jason?”

Her hand paused halfway to the plate. She lowered the fork slowly, her eyes flickering away for a second before she gave a small nod.

“Yes,” she said softly. “We

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Agonizing Pain

SkylarI tumbled down the stairs. The first strike of my body against the hard steps knocked the breath out of me.My side slammed against the edge of a step, then my shoulder, then my back. Each hit sent waves of pain through me as I kept rolling helplessly downward. My hand instinctively went to my stomach, holding the small life growing inside me, desperate to shield my baby from the fall.“Ahhh!” I screamed as I landed hard at the bottom. My body lay twisted, trembling with pain, my breath shallow, my heart racing so fast I thought it might burst out of my chest.I tried to cry out for help, but the words caught in my throat. The pain left me weak… too weak to even lift myself or mutter a word. My limbs felt heavy, numb, like they no longer belonged to me.Then I heard it.Footsteps.Someone was coming down.I blinked hard, trying to steady my blurry vision. The pain kept pulling me under,

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Drowning Thoughts

ColeI sat at the bar, my glass already empty, yet my heart still heavy.“Another shot,” I muttered to the bartender, my voice hoarse from hours of drinking. “Give me your strongest… Absinthe.”The man behind the counter raised an eyebrow, maybe wondering if I could handle it, but he didn’t argue. He poured the green liquid into a small glass, slid it toward me, and stepped back.I grabbed it without hesitation. No salt. No water. No hesitation. Just tilted my head back and swallowed the bitter fire in one go. It burned all the way down, leaving my throat raw, but the pain didn’t bother me. The numbness I craved was already spreading.I let the glass fall back to the counter with a dull clink. My hand trembled slightly, but I clenched it into a fist.Every time I remembered how cruel and heartless Rufus had been to my mother, the pain returned, sharper than before. She had loved him in ways no one else ever would. And how had he repaid her? With betrayal. With lies. I had heard the s

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Emergency Call

SkylarI couldn’t sleep. No matter how many times I rolled over, adjusted my pillow, or shifted the blanket, the uneasiness inside me just wouldn’t let me close my eyes.Cole hadn’t come home.It wasn’t like him anymore. Ever since Amelia left the house, he had stopped staying out late, and I had gotten used to the comfort of him always being home before night fell. But today… today was different. He had left in the morning, and hadn’t returned.Where was he?I reached for my phone on the nightstand and checked the screen again, hoping to see a missed call, a text, something—anything. But nothing. Not a single notification. My lips trembled as I dialed his number once more. The line rang, rang, and rang again until it went to voicemail.“Cole, please,” I whispered. “Just pick up…”But he didn’t.Desperate, I called Xavier instead. At least he might know something. But he simply assured me that Cole was fine and I shouldn’t worry too much, that he would be back. His words were reassuri

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Truth Confrontation

ColeI left my maternal grandfather’s house in anger. How could this be?! How could Father have lied to me all these years?I tightened my grip on the wheel as I drove, my jaw clenched, my thoughts spinning so violently that I barely noticed the streets I passed. Every turn of the road pulled me closer to the one place I knew I needed to be—the estate, my paternal grandfather’s house.I didn’t care about anything else in that moment. My mind screamed only one thing: answers. I needed answers. When I finally arrived, the butler stepped forward as always, bowing slightly, beginning to say something in his calm, rehearsed voice. But his words slipped right past me, lost in the storm inside my head. I didn’t wait for him to finish. I brushed past him as I stormed into the house.“Where’s Grandpa?” I demanded, not even glancing at the man.The air in the house smelled faintly of roasted meat and soup, and as I moved through the halls, I realized where he must be. My instincts carried me st

Cole“Cole,” Amelia called softly, “what’s wrong?”I forced a smile and shook my head. “Nothing,” I lied, standing up too quickly. “Something urgent just came up. I need to leave.”She frowned. I could tell she wanted to ask more, but I gave her no chance. I grabbed my jacket and left the house. The drive felt longer than it really was. My hands tightened around the steering wheel until my knuckles turned pale. The roads blurred by, but my head was stuck in the past. I hadn’t been back to that estate in years. The last time I walked those grounds, I was a boy—angry, lost, and terrified. Now I was going back as a man. When the gates came into view, my stomach twisted. The sight of the familiar building made a wave of emotion wash through me. Nothing had changed—the towering walls, the grand windows, the cold, imposing design. It was the kind of house that looked more like a fortress than a home. My childhood memories here were not warm. They were heavy, filled with harsh words and expe
