Skylar

I opened my eyes slowly, feeling the warmth of the sheets still clinging to my skin. For a few seconds, I just lay there, soaking in the comfort of the bed. Then, I reached out to the other side—and found it empty.

Cole wasn’t in bed.

I blinked a few times, sat up, and touched the cold sheet beside me. He must have gone to work already. I sighed, trying not to feel too disappointed. I had really hoped to wake up next to him.

Yawning, I stretched my arms and glanced around. That was when I noticed something strange—my clothes were gone. The chair where I had tossed them last night was empty. I frowned, scratching my head.

Wait. How was I supposed to leave Cole’s room without my clothes? Especially with Ingrid possibly lurking around with her all-knowing smile and smirks.

I sighed and looked toward his wardrobe.

Well... desperate times.

He wasn’t around, so maybe… I could just wear one of his shirts for now. Just a quick dash to my room, freshen up, change, and then put ev

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Behind the Curtain

Skylar I sat quietly in the backseat of the car, watching the city pass by through the window. Celeste was Justin’s sister. It still didn’t sound right in my head. I couldn’t wrap my mind around it at all. After Justin’s call, I had told Cole about it, hoping for some advice—maybe even some concern. Instead, Cole had just shrugged and said, “You can go and see him if you want to.” And that was it. He had gone back to eating his breakfast like it didn’t matter to him, and then he left for work. I thought about the call... hard. Justin hadn’t really done anything wrong to me. If I was being fair, my first impression of him had been rather good. Calm. Polite. Kind. I mean, since he was Cole's friend and Cole didn't see anything wrong in me honoring the invitation... maybe it was better to hear what he had to say. So I messaged him back, and he sent me an address. So now, here I was. The driver pulled into a parking lot in front of a restaurant. I took a breath and stepped out

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    When Love Finally Speaks

SkylarI silently watched him as I sat on the bed, every movement, every action, as if I was just meeting him for the first time in my life.Cole opened a drawer in his room and took out an ointment. He opened the small jar of ointment and dipped two fingers inside. He knelt in front of me, carefully dabbing ointment on the wound on my knee. The coolness stung at first, but the faint herbal scent and his presence made me relax, helping me breathe through the chaos that was still swirling in my head. All I could think about was how he had walked into the office, like a knight in shining armor, and took me away from there.I still found it hard to believe he had publicly announced our marriage right there. In front of everyone.Even after he lifted me off the cold floor and carried me into the car, I couldn’t say a word. My tongue seemed tied. My mind was stuck. And now, as he knelt before me, his fingers warm and careful against my skin, the silence between us still stretched.I couldn

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    No More Hiding

ColeThe anger on my face was obvious. I didn’t care who saw it. I stormed past everyone blocking my path and headed straight to her—Skylar. She was on the floor, her legs folded to one side. One hand was pressed against the ground for support, while the other was wiping the blood from her lips. Her face was pale, but her eyes were sharp—burning with defiance as she glared hard at Ethan and Celeste. Even in pain, she refused to look weak.Xavier was right behind me, his eyes scanning the room like a hawk. Always alert. Always watching. When I got to Skylar, I bent down and picked her up gently. That’s when I saw them—red finger marks on her face.Who the hell had the guts to lay hands on her?Skylar looked up at me, her eyes widened in disbelief. She asked in a low, unsure voice, “Cole? How… how are you here?”I didn’t answer her question directly. Instead, I leaned in and murmured, my voice low but firm, “Don’t worry, the only thing that matters is that I’m here now… I’ll handle ever

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    The Gift and the Fall

ColeThe necklace looked quite simple, yet stunning. Small, clear diamonds sat gently along a thin silver chain. It was the kind of piece that didn’t scream for attention but held your gaze all the same. I stared at it carefully, imagining how it would look on Skylar. I could already see it resting just above her collarbone, catching the light when she smiled. She’d love it.I had flown back into New York late last night. Business had gone smoothly—better than expected, actually. But instead of going home, I stayed the night in one of my penthouses on the Upper West Side, so that I could get her a gift first before seeing her.Skylar had joked with me during one of our calls. “Get something for me whenever you're coming back,” she had said. I laughed it off then, but it stuck with me. She never asked for much, infact, she never did at all. So this time, I wanted to surprise her with something nice.As I headed out this morning, I found myself inside one of the best jewelry stores in

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    The Second Blow

SkylarCeleste had just slapped me!For a long second, all I could hear was the ringing in my ear. My face burned with the sting of her palm, and the room had gone deathly quiet, as though the entire company floor had frozen in place. My cheek throbbed, but that was nothing compared to the fire rising in my chest.I stood frozen in shock, my hand clutching the side of my face. The shame, the humiliation, the audacity—That was when I noticed Ethan. He stepped forward quickly, inserting himself between me and Celeste like he was protecting her from me. His hand came up gently as he turned to her, speaking in a soft tone."Celeste, calm down, okay? Just breathe. Let's not cause a scene."Was he serious?I stared at him in disbelief. That was his first reaction? Not concern. Not apology. Not even an ounce of guilt—just worry that his precious fiancée might be embarrassing herself.Celeste wasn’t the least bit interested in calming down. Her cold eyes zeroed in on me, her voice sharp and
