The next morning, he wasn’t there when she woke up. She was a little disappointed but figured that he’d call.

Later…

“You have a hard head,” Twilight said. “I can still feel the bump from yesterday. No wonder pushing her was hard.”

“I’m pretty sure she got it from you.”

“Actually, wait here. I forgot to give you something.” She went to get it and came back a few moments later. “Here. It’s a copy of her photo album. You missed out on a year and a half of her life, and this is about as close as you can get to getting that time back.”

“Oh, thanks.”

“She first started teething when she was a week old. She said her first word when she was six months, and it was “Mammy”. That’s what she used to call me for about a month, and it was also around that time that she became obsessed with minions. Banana was her favourite word. Her first steps came a month after and so did the trouble. Frank was her birthday present.”
