Tired of Drama

They sit there on the couch in silence for a while. Eventually though Serena notices that Sergio is starting to nod off again. So, she stands up slowly and helps him off the couch and leads him to his bedroom.

Once he’s settled on his bed she climbs onto the bed behind him and wraps her arms around him tightly.

Sergio lets out a content sigh and rolls over slightly to face her. “I love you, Serena.” He tells her.

“I love you too.” She responds happily.

Sergio presses his forehead against hers. “Goodnight.” He mutters tiredly.

“Goodnight.”

She says back softly.

She lays there for a while, holding onto Sergio’s body as tightly as she can and feeling the rise and fall of his chest underneath her palms. He’s warm, she decides.

It feels nice. Safe. She thinks about the conversation they had earlier and about what it all means. She knows what she wants; what she needs. Now she just has to figure out whether or not she believes in it.

She remembers reading somewhere that faith isn’t easy
