Chapter 19
It was Saturday, Richard had just finished cooking his breakfast. It was a noodle that barely took him five minutes to get cooked. He put the noodle on a plate and sat by the edge of his bed. It took him about five minutes to finish eating the noodles. After he was done eating, he went to the bathroom and took a bath before returning to the room. “Today is Saturday and yet you dressed early, are you meeting your girlfriend?” Gabriel asked.
“Not really, I just something to take care of,” Richard responded.
“I heard that you’ve got a beautiful girlfriend,” Gabriel said.
“I guess,” Richard laughed.
“No wonder we hardly see you in the room, perhaps you are always with her,” Gabriel guessed.
“Not really, you know very well that I’m a busy man,” Richard said.
“Busy with your girl, right? I supposed you are going to her now,” Gabriel said.

A week later, the day which Rebecca will be witnessing the inter house sports arrived. She woke up since 5 am feeling so excited and nervous at the same time. She went to her bathroom and brushed her teeth before coming back to her room. She sat by her bed imagining what she will expect.She thought about Richard and how he will be impressed if she wins the 100 meter race. She had been the best racer so far, but she still doubted herself until then. About an hour later, she stood up and went to the kitchen to start preparing breakfast. Richard went back to his room and lied on his bed. He couldn’t stop thinking about what happened. It was obviously clear to him that Rebecca really loved him. But then, she was more like a desire he can’t have. He never really understood what love is till he met her. Richard, Rebecca and Amira drove to the party. The party was taking place in Ali's home. It was a 2 storey building made up of white and brown bricks, and it was surrounded by a thick fence. Richard went to his dormitory and discovered that it had run out of power. Even though he had not eaten since in the afternoon, he wasn't on his right mind to feel hungry. He walked into his room and lied on the bed alone in the dark. He kept thinking about what happened and how he set everything back into order. He lied in the room for than three hours until he finally got himself together to have something to eat. Due to the fact that he was so hungry, he decided to one of the restaurants close to the dormitory and eat even though he didn't like their foods. He changed into a white long robe and walked out of his room. He walked for some minutes before arriving at the restaurant. As soon as he sat down, he received a call from Paul. In the night around 8 pm, Richard gathered all his clothes and put them in his travelling bag. He hurriedly walked out of the room so that his roommates won't meet him. He walked to a cab close to his dormitory and boarded it. "Where should I take you?" The can driver asked after he started the engine of the car. Richard remained quiet for a moment, because he hadn't come up with a place to go. "Excuse Mister, are you with me?" The cab driver asked noticing Richard's silence. "Just take me to the bus station," Richard uttered at last.The driver drove out of the the campus, and soon, they were driving on the highway. As the car was moving, Richard thought about Janet and the night they got into trouble at the club. He remembered how she happily talked to him and the love she showed him. Throughout their journey in the night, Richard couldn't sleep. He kept thinking about Janet and regretted everything he had done. "How is he doing?" Asked deep male voice. "He is doing better," replied another female voice. "You should inform me when he wakes up," the man instructed. "Alright sir," replied the woman. Richard heard the footsteps of the man walking away. He thought everything was a dream. His eyes were heavier than ever. But at last, he finally opened them. He found himself lying on a small sick bed with an intravenous drip attached to his hand. He felt the intensity of the pain in his lower right abdomen that he couldn't even move properly.He looked around and he discovered that he was in a hospital.
