Breaking down

I was done crying. My nose and eyes were red and my eyes were swollen and were hurting. But I didn’t feel like a mess. I felt a little better even though the pain of the heartbreak was still there.

The day wasn’t over yet but my crying apparently was. I had no more tears left in me. As I drank some water, I realised how dehydrated I actually was feeling.

But I was a little better…

The pain was still unbearable and Xander’s voice still in my head on repeat as he confessed that it was all a lie but there was another voice there. This was my own voice which was telling me that I was Eleanor Aliana Ambrosia and no one can break me.

I was stronger than titanium!

My heart might have been broken but I wouldn’t let myself be broken completely. I was going to stay strong. After all, I was still in high school. I had a lot to live for. If not love, I still had to live to make my parents proud of me. I still had to do so much!

I had to win a Nobel prize too!
