The Positive Love Affair

It is a gloomy day for Nicole. She had a 1-year relationship with Louie. He is her high school best friend and they are college lovers yet they separated ways on their 2nd year as Nicole suddenly fall in love with another man and got separated right after. After Nicole & Louie's college graduation they reconcile and continue their relationship. However, this time, it is no longer as Nicole expected. Louie is now too reserved, too secretive and Nicole happen not to understand him that way. She Tried asking about it but her questions were not answered properly by Louie. 

That day Nicole decided to join her colleagues for a after dinner party so she called immediately to let him know her plans for tonight. "Hey I will be joining my officemate dinner party tonight; would that be alright with you?" Nicole said. Louie then responded by saying "Yeah just make sure you will not stay up late and go home early." Nicole got frustrated as she is expecting that he will not allow her to join and instead he might offer to have just dinner with him. 

After a long day of working, finally Nicole and her colleagues will prepare themselves for the dinner party. Terrence approach her and said, "You will enjoy tonight because there are a lot of handsome guys on Lulu bar." Nicole just smiles and nods, as she is not interested on such. She then continues to prepare and when they finally done, they get a cab to take them to Lulu bar. 

As they arrived in Lulu Bar. Nicole texted Louie immediately, "Hey already here in Lulu, I can just go there to your place instead if you say so." Louie did not respond to her text so she ended entering to the bar. She was surprised all guest was all male and she is the only girl. Feeling anxious on the place she just order a cheesy fries and sat on the bar while her colleagues keep on dancing and socializing.  Terrence approach her and said "Are you not enjoying the ambiance?" "I'm not just that comfortable." Nicole said. 

From afar, Terrence notices a guy in the opposite table of theirs. "Nicole, can you do me a favor, can you get that guy's number for me?" Nicole looks on the guy Terence is pointing at and said "Not my thing Terrence." Terrence still insists to Nicole and pushes her away. So, Nicole does the thing as she things there will be no precautions of it. 

As she approaches the guy's table. She immediately taps the guy's shoulder and said "Hey would you mind if you light up my cigarette?" The guy responded "yeah, yeah sure here."

Nicole got nervous because it is not her thing. She immediately returns to their table and forgot to ask for the name and the number of the guy. Terrence in a angry voice "I thought you will be getting his number for me?" Nicole stares a bit with little frustration to Terrence. "Okay I will be going back there to get his number just wait for a little while." Nicole responded to Terrence. 

After few minutes of saving so much courage on going back to the guy's table, FINALLY Nicole walks towards it. The guy immediately smiles to her and said, "Need to light up again your cigarette?" Nicole smiled and said "No actually my friend there wanted me to ask for your name and number." "Well, I am Marco and I am not interested in same gender acquaintances." The guy responded to Nicole while laughing. Nicole then smiles back telling Marco, "I understand anyway it was nice meeting you and will just tell to my friend there that you are not interested." 

Nicole return to their table laughing and told Terence what Marco said. "So, he wanted an opposite gender then why on earth is he here?" Nicole in amusement asked Terrence "why this is a public place anyway." Terrence laughs hard while telling her that Lulu Bar is a bar for LGBT people. "Oh, I never thought that it is!" surprising respond from Nicole. 

After some minutes, Marco approaches Nicole and asked her "You have asked my name and yet you didn't give yours, mind to join us in our table?" Nicole said will just check with her friends if they can join them. Since Terrence is aware of the relationship status of Nicole with Louie, he immediately urge Nicole that they can join Marco's table in the hope that Nicole will get to chance to get to know new people with new perspective. 

Finally, they join Marco's table, Terrence knew that he is interested with Nicole so he started talking to dig more about Marco, "Do you have any partner, girlfriends etc. Marco?" Terrence said. Marco did reply while he was smiling "Actually I just got from break up last month." Nicole didn't know exactly what is going on and just listening. Marco did offer her a beer but since Nicole is extra cautious on the place, she pretends to spill it along with Marco. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to spill it." Marco accidentally grabs Nicole's hand and said "No it's okay no worries." Nicole is already uncomfortable and chooses to return to their table. 

As she walks away with Marco's table Terrence run towards her and said "What is that about?" "I just want to go home." Nicole said. Terrence then insisted that they stay a little longer, "Please can we stay a little longer dear?" "Sure, but I don't want to go to another table, will just eat here, I’m starving." Nicole said. 

From afar Marco is staring Nicole while she incredibly eats large number of appetizers on their table. Then Terrence leaves Nicole and join again with Marco's table. "Hey Terrence would you mind me asking you if Nicole has a boyfriend?" Marco said to Terrence. Terrence laughs hard and said "Actually she has a boyfriend but that guy doesn't have any time to offer to her." Marco was surprised as he thought Nicole is a amazing woman. "Can i possibly get her number?" Marco asked Terrence. Terrence immediately put out his cellphone and immediately give it to Marco. 

Nicole walked to Marco's table to let Terrence know that she will be home. "I want to go home now." Nicole said to Terrence. "I will be better get going to wait for me." hurrying voice of Terrence. 

They said good bye to Marco and to their companions and head home by a cab.
