An Angel

Avril helps me to my feet, then leads me over to the bathroom, where the water is already in the bathtub.

"Don't worry, it is cold water to help with the swelling and sting. Just lay there for a while. I'll go make you some food in the meantime." She said, then helps me in the bath.

I grimace as I sit in the water, but she is right. It is soothing to my back and helps with the pain. I sigh at the relief and lay back. But that still doesn't help my tears from flowing, because never in all my years of being alive has anyone ever whipped me, and for Leo to beat me in such a way is so degrading.

When the water is starting to match up to my body temperature, I get up and gingerly step out of the tub, then make my way to the room Leo said I am to sleep in. There I dig around the dress, looking through the limited amount of clothes I have to see what I can wear. I settle on a purple silky robe, thinking that it won't be so rough on the blisters of my skin.
