New Beginnings

Author: Ada
(Freya's POV)

I handed the elegant auction invitation back to Marcus, who took it with his long, slender fingers. Instead of withdrawing his hand immediately, he pinched the invitation's cover between his thumb and forefinger, his golden eyes fixing on mine with unusual intensity.

"The gift that the old Alpha would want the most is probably a granddaughter-in-law," he said, his voice casual despite the weight of his words.

My breath caught in my throat. Was he implying what I thought he was? Bella stirred uneasily within me, sensing my sudden tension.

Before I could formulate a response, Marcus continued with a hint of regret coloring his tone, "Unfortunately, I can't fulfill that wish for now, so I'll have to settle for an antique moonstone he likes instead." He pulled the invitation card away as he finished speaking.

I stood frozen in place, my mind racing to process his words. Was this another gentle reminder of his feelings, or simply an offhand comment about family expectatio

  • The Pregnant Luna Rejected Her Alpha   Reunions and Close Encounters

(Freya's POV)Looking back, I couldn't begrudge my father his happiness. Richard Snow had been alone for far too long after my mother passed and our pack fell. The loneliness had carved deep lines into his face that only recently began to fade. When he first introduced Kinsley to me, I'd been defensive and cold. The idea of another she-wolf taking my mother's place felt like betrayal. But watching them together—seeing how the pack bonds between them strengthened naturally—made me realize how selfish my reaction had been.I remembered clearly the day Kinsley approached me privately, her usually confident demeanor replaced with nervous energy. Her dark eyes were earnest as she spoke."Luna Snow," she began, using my former title respectfully, "I've learned a little about your family from your father. Given your special circumstances with the Snowfang Pack's fall, I swear I am not after territory or status with your father."Her words surprised me, especially what came next."If you

  • The Pregnant Luna Rejected Her Alpha   Whispers of Change and Distant Hearts

(Freya's POV)The clatter of dishes filled my kitchen as Marcus rolled up his sleeves, his gold-rimmed glasses catching the soft evening light. "Let me wash the dishes," he offered, already gathering plates from the table."No need," I protested, reaching for a stack of plates. "Just put them in the dishwasher."But Marcus moved with surprising speed for such a tall wolf, collecting the dishes before I could get to them. "I insist," he said.Emily smirked from her perch on the barstool, nursing the last of her wine. "Come on, Freya, if this Alpha wants to help, let him! How else will he ever prove himself to you as a potential mate?"Heat rushed to my cheeks as my wolf Bella stirred uncomfortably within me. I shot Emily a warning glance, but she just winked in response."Yes, let me show what I can do," Marcus chimed in, his voice light though his eyes were serious.Their combined teasing left me little room to object. With a small sigh that turned into a reluctant smile, I step

  • The Pregnant Luna Rejected Her Alpha   A Glimmer of Home

(Emily's POV)I punched in the passcode to Freya's apartment, eager to see the twins. As the door opened, I heard their animated chatter from the living room."And then, if we slice it like this..." Julian was explaining something."Brother, let me try!" Evelyn responded excitedly.Peering around the corner, I saw them at their kitchen table, surrounded by cooking tools. A camera was set up in front of them—they were livestreaming again.I froze, not wanting to interrupt. They were so focused they hadn't noticed me. I decided to slip quietly to the kitchen. To my surprise, the kitchen was spotless. I'd expected chaos from Freya's recent move and busy schedule, or at least typical kid messes. But everything gleamed."Did Freya already get a pack-cleaning service?" I whispered, running my finger over the clean counter.A chore chart hung by the nutrient dispenser with today's cleaning checked off. With time to kill, I went to the balcony to enjoy the European city view while wait

  • The Pregnant Luna Rejected Her Alpha   Late Night Messages

(Freya's POV)I stared at my phone screen, my finger hovering over Night Wolf's message: "What do you want to talk about?"To be honest, no matter how I looked at it, this response felt strange. This mysterious benefactor had been sending extravagant gifts to my children for nearly a year without a single word. Why break the silence now?If it weren't for his consistent support without expressing any concerning intentions, I would have simply ignored him. But something about his generosity toward Julian and Evelyn felt genuine rather than predatory. It was already past midnight, and exhaustion pulled at my eyelids. I had no energy for games or lengthy conversations."Thank you for responding," I typed quickly. "It might be easier to discuss this through a more convenient messaging app. Would you mind sharing your contact information?"I didn't expect an immediate reply, but the typing indicator appeared almost instantly. Then it disappeared. Then reappeared. This pattern continue

  • The Pregnant Luna Rejected Her Alpha   The Pain of Severance

(Third-person's POV)Aaron Steel stood motionless, his face ashen and drawn. What had started as a dull ache in his stomach hours ago had escalated into knife-like pain. His normally commanding presence seemed diminished as he struggled to maintain his composure, one hand gripping the edge of the desk to keep himself upright. The glamorous she-wolf who had been chatting animatedly with James Morrison suddenly paused mid-sentence. Her carefully applied lipstick curved downward as she noticed Aaron's pallor."Alpha Steel?" she asked, her flirtatious tone shifting to concern. "Are you feeling unwell?"James stepped forward immediately, his Beta instincts on high alert. "Sir, perhaps you should sit down."Aaron tried to wave them off, but the movement sent a fresh wave of pain through his abdomen. He swayed dangerously, almost slumping to the ground. The she-wolf—sent by their partner pack as what they considered an appropriate "gift" for the unmated Alpha King—moved quickly to Aaron

  • The Pregnant Luna Rejected Her Alpha   Five Years Later

(Third-person's POV)"Welcome to Little Wolf's cooking channel. Today we're making two venison dishes," announced a cheerful voice from the livestream. Two adorable children appeared on camera, both dressed in matching wolf cub-themed aprons and chef hats. Their small fingers worked carefully with the cuts of fresh venison laid out on the cutting board before them. The girl, Evelyn Snow, had luminous violet eyes that sparkled with mischief and joy. Her dark curls bounced as she moved excitedly around the kitchen counter. She picked up a piece of venison and promptly dropped it on the floor. Her expression immediately fell, looking at her brother with apologetic eyes."Brother, I'm sorry," she said, her lower lip already quivering.Julian Snow, though clearly the same age as his sister, carried himself with a seriousness that seemed beyond his five years. His golden eyes—remarkably wolf-like even in human form—narrowed slightly as he assessed the fallen meat. Those eyes held an un

  • The Pregnant Luna Rejected Her Alpha   No Way Back?

(Freya's POV)I sat on Emily's worn couch, turning Marcus's question over in my mind. His words seemed to hang in the air between us: "Once you go to European territory, it will be difficult to return."The dim light of Emily's apartment cast long shadows across the room. I smiled faintly, my hair falling forward to partially hide my eyes. I didn't need to see Marcus's expression to know he was studying me intently."I've long had no way to turn back, nor have I ever thought about turning back," I said softly. My wolf Bella whimpered quietly within me, a sound of mourning for what we were leaving behind. The weight of my decisions—the mate bond severance, walking away from the Northern Ridge Pack, choosing to raise my cub alone—pressed down on me like physical things. The atmosphere in the small apartment suddenly felt heavy, charged with unspoken emotions. Marcus's golden eyes remained fixed on me, his expression unreadable behind his glasses. After a long silence, he sighed and

  • The Pregnant Luna Rejected Her Alpha   Departing Decisions

(Freya's POV)I sat on Emily's worn couch, my fingers fidgeting with the strap of my small leather bag. Though I hadn't signed any formal agreement with Caroline, the weight of my verbal promise hung heavy on my shoulders."I still can't believe you're leaving because of that... that arrangement with Caroline," Emily said, pacing in front of me. Her scent reflected her agitation, sharp and spicy in the small apartment.I sighed, feeling my wolf Bella stir restlessly within me. "I gave my word.""But you didn't sign anything!" Emily threw her hands up in frustration. "How shameless to demand you leave the territory after helping you! If everyone expected such disgraceful repayment for their assistance, it would be better not to help at all."Her outrage warmed my heart despite the circumstances. It had been so long since someone had defended me this fiercely."What can I do? I owe her," I responded with a resigned smile. The words tasted bitter on my tongue. Caroline had indeed h
