LOGINNate's Point of View
I watched Paige leave the yacht in a hurry, immediately sparking my curiosity. To me, she seems like the kind of woman who's good at cheating. She cheated on her boyfriend with me, and I know for a fact that she can meet other men even though she's already married to me. I understand that our marriage has nothing to do with love. But my ego can't handle it. I refuse to let anyone humiliate me. She's my wife now, and I'll fuck up whoever the hell she's meeting. Who the hell is this guy, anyway, and why does she choose to ditch the event just to meet him? "Excuse me. I have an emergency to attend to. I'll catch up with everyone later. I'm so sorry," I apologize to the director before excusing myself from the conversation. I hurried outside and scanned my surroundings, looking for Paige. I spotted her waiting for a taxi, so I got into my car and kept my eyes on her from a distance. The moment she gets into a taxi, I quietly followed her. I'm not doing this out of jealousy, but to protect my reputation. I'm a Montague, for fuck's sake. Plenty of women would kill to have me, and I refuse to let my own wife make a fool out of me. I followed her taxi until it finally stopped at a hospital. That's when I realized she's visiting her mother, not some random guy. Maybe I misjudged her. I patiently waited inside my car for several minutes. Then, I spotted a familiar man walking out of the hospital. I dug up some information about Paige after our wedding, and I discovered that this guy, Dominic, was her boyfriend. So, this guy is here with her, too? Are they dating again? Or did they even break up at all? I kept my eyes on him as he remains in the same spot. A few minutes later, Paige finally emerges from the hospital, and I watch as she tries to get away from him. I'm about to step out of my car and interfere with their little drama when I decided to roll down the window instead and listen. "What the fuck do you want now, Dominic?" she snaps, clearly annoyed. "I just wanted to let you know that I'm so sorry. I'm so fucking sorry for ruining your life," he replies. "I don't need your fake apologies, Dom. We're done." "I want you back," Dominic declares. Wait... What? Does this guy even know who he's messing with? Is he challenging me? How dare he try to claim what's already mine? I can see the disappointment and sadness written all over Paige's face. "I regret what I did to you. I was such a fool. And Camilla... She deceived me. I'm not the father of her baby. She used me to get out of the wedding and hurt you. I should've defended you. I should've—" "ENOUGH! I don't want to hear it. Just please leave me alone!" she shouts. "I'm married. Can't you see?!" she adds, holding up her hand to show him the ring on her finger. I smirk. "Yeah, right. Show him who's your husband," I whisper to myself like a fool, knowing Paige can't even hear me. "What the fuck?" I blurted out when I saw Dominic pulled my wife into a tight embrace. I'm this close to throwing open my car door and jumping him. I watched him whisper something into her ear, but I can no longer hear what he's saying. A few moments later, Paige finally manages to break free from his grasp. Something boils inside me. I waited until Paige gets into the taxi before finally stepping out of my car. I stride toward Dominic, and he looks utterly shocked when he sees me approaching. "Hey! That's my wife you're hugging!" I punch him before he can even react, sending him crashing to the ground. He chuckles and wipes the blood from the corner of his mouth with his finger. "Oh, come on, man. I know you don't give a fuck about her. So what if you're married, huh? You don't even love her. You don't even know her," he says smugly. I grab him by the collar and stare straight into his eyes. "I don't care who she is. She's married to me now, so she's my property. And you know damn well that I hate people who try to take what's mine," I growl before shoving him back to the ground. Dominic staggers but quickly regains his footing. Instead of looking intimidated, he lets out a mocking laugh as he wipes the blood from his mouth. "What's yours?" he repeats, looking at me with disbelief. "Jesus Christ, Nathaniel Montague. Do you even hear yourself? You're talking about a woman, not some fucking possession you can buy and keep locked away." I clench my jaw. "Watch your fucking mouth." "Or what? You're going to hit me again?" He spreads his arms, challenging me. "Go ahead. Maybe you can punch some sense into yourself while you're at it." I take a threatening step toward him, but he doesn't back down. "You think that ring makes you her husband? You think a piece of paper gives you the right to claim her?" He scoffs. "You don't even know her, man. You don't know what makes her happy, what makes her cry, or how much she's suffered because of people like you." My fists tighten at my sides. "People like me?" "Yeah, people like you. Rich people who think they can get anything they want just because they have money." His eyes narrow as he glances at my expensive watch. "Tell me, did you even ask her if she wanted to marry you? She just didn't have a choice! She loves me!" I grabbed him by the collar again and punched him the second time, harder than the first one. "Listen carefully, because I'm only going to say this once. You stay the hell away from my wife. Don't call her. Don't touch her. Don't even fucking think about approaching her again. The next time I catch you anywhere near her, you'll regret it." He gives me a bitter smile despite the blood on his lip. "You can threaten me all you want, Montague. But I'll take her back and you can't do anything about it," he confidently said. "Just because you married her doesn't mean she no longer loves me. Watch out, man. I. WILL. TAKE. HER. BACK." he added, giving emphasis on each of his words. "Careful, Dominic. You're getting awfully comfortable talking about my marriage." He scoffed and turned his back at me, and I watched him walk away. I just clenched my fist in anger. How I love to just punch his stupid face all day. I'll look forward to that day. I tried to cool my head off before deciding to finally head into the hospital and make my way to the billing counter. "Please give me the total bill for Ruby Williams." I wait for the staff to calculate the amount, then pay the entire bill in full. I know her mother is one of the reasons Paige agrees to marry me."How's your wedding? Tell me all about it, honey," Mom said.It had been a few hours since I walked out on Nate and his family. I could finally breathe without having those witches breathing down my neck. I'd only consider going back once that house was free of them.Mom and I were currently sitting comfortably on the sofa, watching some random reality show on TV. Well, technically, the television was on, but neither of us was paying much attention to it. We were far too busy catching up."Nothing special, Mom. Everything happened so fast. Dom and I broke up, and the next thing I knew, I was standing at the altar, becoming Camilla's replacement bride," I said with a chuckle. When I thought about it, the past few days had been absolutely insane. It was the kind of drama you would only expect from rich people. Apparently, even getting married had to come with a truckload of complications when you were wealthy."Of course, it's special! It's your wedding, after all!""Well, the food was
Paige's Point of View"What a dick!" Becca exclaimed after I told her what had happened."Yeah," I replied with a sigh. After the confrontation at the hospital, I decided to head straight to Becca's condo to vent my frustrations and find someone who would take my side."Don't go back to that bastard, babe! You hit the jackpot with Nathaniel. You're a Montague now! Don't settle for that cheating asshole," she added.I swallowed hard. I couldn't keep this secret to myself any longer."I have something to tell you..." I began hesitantly."Hmm?""I slept with Nate.""And? What's wrong with that? He's your husband, for God's sake! Of course, you've slept with him. And you'll sleep with him again and again in the future," she said before taking another bite of her pizza."No! That's not what I meant." I took a deep breath, bracing myself for her reaction. "I slept with him the night you took me to that bar. He was the guy I kissed during that stupid dare," I confessed.There. I'd finally sa

The moment I entered my mother's ward, I was shocked to find Dominic sitting beside her hospital bed. What the hell is he doing here?I immediately realized that Mom still didn't know I was already married... and not to Dominic."Why the fuck are you here?" I snapped at him."Sorry, I just..." He trailed off, staring at me in awe. "You're beautiful."I quickly glanced down at my outfit. I am still wearing the same gown from the event.Ignoring him, I walked straight to the other side of the bed. "Hi, Mom. How are you?" I asked sweetly."I'm fine. I'm getting bored, and I want to get out of this hospital already," she replied."Don't worry about that just yet, Mom. I've got everything covered. Just focus on getting better, okay? I promise you'll be home soon.""Anyway, why are you two fighting?" she asked, noticing how I am completely ignoring Dominic, who's standing right in front of me."Mom, please don't mind him anymore, okay? There's something I want to tell you.""Of course, hone
I spent nearly twenty minutes staring at the clothes hanging inside my closet. Not that there were many options to begin with. Most of the things I had brought from the Evans mansion were simple dresses and casual outfits. None of them looked suitable for a yacht party attended by New York's elite. The thought alone made my stomach twist into knots.I pulled out a cream-colored dress and held it against myself before immediately putting it back. Too plain. The blue one looks too old, and the black one looks too formal. With a frustrated sigh, I sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed my temples. Ever since waking up that morning, I had been unable to focus on anything. My mind kept drifting back to the hospital.Mom.I hadn't seen her since the wedding. I had barely slept last night because of it.Victoria promised she would settle the remaining hospital bills once the marriage was completed. It was the entire reason I agreed to sacrifice my freedom and marry a man I barely knew. But wh
"So... am I really supposed to live here... with you?" I asked hesitantly as we stepped into the modest house. It was decent enough, but I couldn’t hide my surprise. For someone from the Montague family, I expected something much grander. "Do you have a problem with that?" Nathaniel asked, raising an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes in frustration. Living under the same roof with a man I barely knew was unsettling. Sure, he was legally my husband, but he still felt like a complete stranger. And then there were the rumors—the countless things I’d heard about him. "Yes, of course I have a problem," I muttered, barely loud enough for him to hear. "I don’t even know you. And I’ve heard... things about you." Nathaniel smirked, letting out a soft chuckle. "I figured. People do love their gossip. Just don’t believe everything you hear," he said as he sank into the medium-sized sofa. He rested his head on the back of it, closing his eyes as if he didn’t have a care in the world. I sigh
Dominic... My Dominic is entwined with Camilla, my half-sister. Their bodies are pressed together in an intimate embrace that leaves no room for misinterpretation. They are sleeping naked and sharing the same blanket on the sofa. By the looks of them, I'm not naive enough to believe that nothing ha
"Give a hand for Paige! Wow, that was a hot kiss!" the host exclaimed. The crowd cheered as the white envelope containing ten thousand dollars was handed to me. I quickly made my way to the exit door and looked for the restroom. Luckily, I found it immediately and went inside.I washed my face and
Here I am, seated at a long table in one of the city's most expensive restaurants, with Morgan Montague and Sebastian Montague, the parents of Nathaniel Montague who happens to be my soon-to-be husband. After agreeing with Victoria that she'll cover my mother's surgery expenses and that I'll marry
"Oh my gosh! How dare you slap my daughter!"Victoria was about to slap me when Dad stopped her. "Good luck with your business. And you, Camilla? I am not bitter. I am not jealous. Fuck Dominic all you want. I'm out of here," I said, emphasizing each word before finally leaving the house. The betra
