Chapter 11 - Departure

Captain jay threw his duffel bag into the boot of his car as it pulled up at the water gate, two mins early. He then removed his pack from his back and climbed into the back seat, putting the pack at his feet.

“We leave from the Military Port”

“Ok” Benny said, as he eased the car back onto the traffic.

“You will need to get your credentials up on your comms for the checkpoint,” said Jay.

It was a quiet drive to the port, traffic wasn’t too bad and they made great time.

When they pulled the car up out the front of the workshop near the port, Bunny was there waiting for them, she wrapped Captain Jay into a big hug, shocking Kat and Benny.

“Come on, grab your stuff – this way.” said Bunny

Jays team grabbed their bags, packs and Tilly had a case Jay supposed she had filled with explosives. They followed Bunny into the ship she had commandeered.  They got a quick tour and met the pilot/navigator, Ryder. It was an older model ship, but it had been very well looked after. It had a one-man transit pod and a bigger six-man Transit pod in its hull. The lounge was part of the cockpit so that would be where they would be most of the time. Bunny had made sure the kitchen was well stocked and their private sleeping quarters were comfortable.

They were ready to go.

Once they were clear of the city’s airspace, Captain Jay told Ryder to set their course for Planet S610.
