Chapter 7 - A Missions Beginning

Captain Jay’s mind was racing, making lists of all the things he needed to get done, he needed a team to protect Princess Rota and a team to go and find the missing princess, He needed his core team now. He pulled our his comm screen and send a group message to his core team to meet him at Princess Rota’s apartments. His core team were the people he had trained from the start. He had other guards beneath him but they were transfers from other squads or new recruits that he hadn’t had time to asse yet. No he would only use the people he knew for now because there was the possibility of it being an inside job.

Beeves & Boris were the first to show up, they were already on their way before they got Jay’s message. They had a case with them which jay took and put on the kitchen bench, he would explain that later. Next to arrive was Benny, his second in command, Then Kat and Tilly. Once they were all together Captain Jay introduced everyone.

“Team, I would like to introduce you to Princess Rota and her friends Shimel & Lacy. Princess, Shimel, Lacy, this is my core team.  Benny who is my second and our tech guy and Kat who you have already met is our communications specialist. Tilly is our explosive expert and then we have Beeves & Boris.”

“And what do they do” asked the princess

“Well, they . . . urm . .” Beeves and Boris just stood there, side by side arms crossed against their massive chests, with smiles on their faces. They looked so similar

The princess & maids exchanged puzzled looks

“We are here for your ladies Pleasure” one of them said in a silky-smooth voice and they both gave a seductive wink.

The Princess raised her eyebrow while her friends blushed.

“Stop it” Kat cut in we don’t have time.

“Yes” Jay said taking back control of the situation. “So we have two missions, the first is to protect Princess Rota. I’m assigning Kat, Beeves and Boris to this mission” He sent a look to Beeves & Boris which said behave or else. Their smiles just got bigger. He then looked at Kat.

“Kat I need you to take point on this one. I want you to train the girls to be another set of eyes for us with some basic self-defence and escape plans.” He looked at the women and the Princess. “Will you be prepared to learn some new sills” To his surprise they all gave him back excited nods. “Great”

Captain Jay Continued “Our other mission will be to retrieve . . .” He gave a meaningful look at the Princess, she gave him a nod of permission “Princess Rota’s twin sister”

There was a gasp and his team all exchanged looks “Of course this is information you will guard with your life and only the people within this room know of her existence. Benny and Tilly you will be with me, can you start looking over the documents on the coffee table, her location is encrypted in there. I’m pretty sure we are going to need a ship and a really good cover story, if she is where I think she is”

“Kat” Captain Jay retrieved the case from the bench. “Get the ladies sorted, I’ll inform my superior that I’m leaving you in charge of the Princess’s Protection while I chase down another lead directly related to the attack on the king.” It was maybe a bit misleading but he wasn’t about to tell his superior there was another Princess before he could confirm she was. He headed for the hallway to call his superior.

Kat, with the case in hand “Alright Ladies, do I have a treat for you, come and pick out a piece of jewellery.”

The women look very excited at this but Princess Rota looked sceptical.  Kat opened the case up on the coffee table. “Wow” the women exclaimed these are beautiful.” There was about 8 different pieces of jewellery, bracelets, earing sets, necklaces and hair adornments, all looking like real gold and precious gems.

“They are also important for your protection. Each piece has an inbuilt tracking locator and emergency button. We can see your location at every moment and if you’re in trouble push the emergency button and we will know to come immediately. Of course, we hope you never need to use these but it’s better to be safe than sorry. This hair clip can also with a special program on your Comm screen send and receive untraceable messages to our team.

This was all created by our team and is only known to our core team and the King that had a piece on his persons at all times. This is highly classified and I need your word that you will take the existence of this technology to your grave.” Realising what she had just said might have been a bit insensitive at the moment she sent an apology smile to the Princess.

“I understand, you have my word” The Princess reassured her.

The woman also gave their agreement.

“If my farther had a piece on him at the time . . . “

“No” Kat cut in knowing where the princess thoughts were going “We didn’t get any distress signal from him, we think it all happened . . . too quick”

“Right” the princess acknowledged, all the pieces were place in a foam inlay that kept them in place, she ran her finger over a small rectangle space that was empty “He wore a gold ring with a green emerald in it”

“Yes” Kat gently put her hand on the princess arm, “I really hope he pulls through”

There was a pause while everyone remembered the King.

“Well, Shimel, Lacy which pieces do you like?”  The Princess broke the silence, which made it ok for everyone to carry on too.

Lacy stepped up to the case, “Oh they really are so beautiful, can I please try the Bracelet on the left”

“Good choice” Kat said “Shimel”

“Kat, is it important that one of us pick the hair clip so we can send you coded messages?”

“Well actually, it would be if we ever got separated” Kat informed

“Ok then, I will choose the clip”

Princess Rota ran her fingers over a gold necklace with a big green emerald “This would have matched Father’s ring”

“Yes” Kat said

“I will choose the necklace then” The princess declared.
