The night had been a sleepless one for Ashton. He had cried himself to sleep, his heart heavy with the weight of Alpha Theo's silence. He had never felt so alone, so unwanted. He had thought that their bond was unbreakable, that nothing could ever come between them. But now, he wasn't so sure.

As he lay in bed, he couldn't shake the feeling that he had lost Alpha Theo forever. He had told him that he didn't want to go with Elijah anymore, and Alpha Theo had taken it as a personal rejection. Ashton had tried to explain himself, to tell Alpha Theo that he just couldn't handle the thought of being away from him for so long. But Alpha Theo hadn't listened.

The next morning, Ashton dragged himself to the dining table, his eyes red and puffy from lack of sleep. He took his seat, trying to avoid eye contact with Alpha Theo, who was already seated at the head of the table.

What a horrendous way to handle a delicate situation. Theo, could have left off Elijah being his father but should have told him it was for his first shift and to hone his dragon fighting skills. Banishment is for criminals and treasonous acts.
