AYLA

“Will you be needing this?” Tara showed me some of my boxes of jewelry, and I chuckled.

“No, Tara. I only need one bag, and I don't need a jewelry box. I'm not going there to celebrate anything. Or anyone.”

It's been a few days since I heard the news that my father was dying. I have gotten a lot of mixed feelings about it, but I couldn't shake it away.

I tried to focus on other things, like the hospital, and Amora, but I couldn't help but think about my dying father.

He has hated me since the moment my mother gave her life for mine, and never saw me as his daughter again.

But somewhere deep inside my heart, he has always been my father no matter what he has done for me.

“And the King's warning?” Tara asked. My hair flipped to the side, as I turned to look at her. “I know he said something about the road being dangerous.”

“My father is dying, Tara. This is my last chance to ask him questions that I have been scared to ask when I was a little girl,” I said to her. “The King….”

  • The Promised Luna   Chapter 135!An arrow between us!

AYLAIt has been a wild two days. Visitors from all over the park have either come to see or pay homage to their new Luna. It has been strange, not having my friends around. But Berah, and Phillip make up for it. The news of my ascension has spread all round the globe. I know Mercia, and even Moonlit Pack has heard of it.“Your grace,” I heard Berah's voice. “Another council member. Lord Dayan,” I coughed slightly, and nodded.“Lord Dayan, it's a pleasure to meet you,” I said, and he bowed.“The pleasure is all mine, your grace. The news about your beauty was not told to us enough,” he said, and I raised my eyebrows.“Apologies, your grace. It's just that we haven't seen you in years, I'm just trying to set the mood,” he said, and I scoffed.“Set the mood?” I asked, and he nodded with a smile. “The mood is I'm your Luna, and you will treat me as such,” I said with authority.“As you wish, Luna Ayla,” he bowed and turned away from me. Luna Ayla, I'm still reeling from hearing those w

  • The Promised Luna   Chapter 134!Through the flames!

AYLAI did crash, but I got back up immediately. I wasn't in the graveyard anymore. I was in the garden. The garden my mother, and I used to play in when I was little. Unlike the garden in the real world, this one was filled with her favorite flower lilies. Goddess knows, Mabel likes her lilies. When she was alive, she used to make sure that the palace was filled with fresh ones every morning.“Mabel, you call me by my name now?” I heard my mother's voice, and I turned.“Mother,” I laughed, and I raced to hug her. She let out her hands, and covered me with her arms. I feel so loved, and seen in her arms. Now I know why Amora never wants to leave me.“She's a lucky girl,” my mother said, and we disengaged. “To have you as a mother, and me as a grandmother.”“You are reading my mind!” I exclaimed. “Not reading, more like hearing your thoughts,” she, and I looked at her confused.“What does that mean?” I asked.“It means, something huge is coming,” she said, and my face fell.“You mean

AYLAI folded my hands as I watched Philip, and his mother banter amongst themselves. It appears that there is no love lost between them. And I almost feel sorry for her.To have a child that doesn't love you. Sometimes the goddess can be cruel. Perhaps that's her punishment for jumping into the bed of another woman's husband, and treating her daughter like crap.“He calls out to your mother, you know,” Lady Berah said to me, as she led me away from Phillip, and my step mother. We walked deeper into my father's chambers, until my knees touched the wooden furniture of his bed.I looked at him as he lay lifeless, struggling to breathe with all the strength in his body. He will leave this world at any moment, and there is a lot I want to say to him, but I can't. I hate him so much.“No,” I shook my head. “I can't do this,” I said, and tried to walk away but Berah stopped me.“I understand wanting him to feel your hate, and not your forgiveness,” she said. “But he is going to die, Lady Ay

  • The Promised Luna   Chapter 132! The Alpha Lies at Death Door!

AYLAI held my stomach as I laughed hard. Harder than I have ever had. Because this must be one of the silliest jokes of the century.“My lady,” the woman looks at me confused.“I'm sorry, but you must be confused,” I said, and she looked taken aback.“I'm not confused, my lady. I was ordered to tell this to you,” she said, and I smirked.“You can go back, and tell my step mother and sister that I'm not falling for their games for them to justify when they have me killed. I'm not here to rule over Stormbringer. I'm just here to see my father, and I'll be on my way…”“But you can't leave, Lady Ayla,” she took a step towards me. “The land is dying, and only you can save it.”“What do you mean the Land is dying?” I asked, and she went silent. “Tell me.”“I can't. I don't know the full details, but I know someone who might,” she said, and my eyes lit up.“My father?” I asked, and she shook her head.“Your brother, my lady. The brother you never knew,” as she spoke, the door of the room wa

  • The Promised Luna   Chapter 131! Welcome Home, Lady Ayla!

AYLAThe road to Stormbringer is rough, and long. But thanks to my powers, and Riven's distinct knowledge of the navigation system of the car I borrowed from the palace fleet. My journey was shortened by two days.Slade gave me a lot of options, to use one of the Kingdom's planes, or one of her ships. I couldn't do that, not to Stormbringer pack. Not while their Alpha lay dying.Besides, I wanted to see how much has changed along the way. I wanted to feel the breeze in my air as I drove. To feel free, and not think about anything but the love I have for my daughter, and my friends. And the unconfessed love I have for Slade.I smiled as my mind drifted to him. I placed him in a tight spot by using my powers on the chamber door. But it's nothing he has won his way through before. And he can do it again.I slowed down as I got to a ritual. I checked the navigation system of the car, and I was just a few miles away from the first gate of Stormbringer.Recognizing the ritual wasn't hard. I
