CHAPTER 55 -

Clayton accepted the water that his father had given and immediately handed it to Alpha Jack, who never left his post, right outside the door of the room where his wife is being taken care of by Amarah and Eloise.

The older alpha ignored the water and just continued his vigil outside the door, where the weak cries of his wife can be heard. He was now joined by his Beta, Gustav and his family. His son, who is only eight years old is sleeping contentedly on his grandmother’s lap, who is holding her own vigil, praying for the safety of their Luna.

The crowd in front of the center has grown ten-fold as the news had spread all throughout the territory as well as its neighboring packs.

“Please, Amarah, save my daughter,” Cynthia begged tearfully. “I don’t know what my husband had said to you, but I begged you to save hers instead of mine. She’s got a lot to live for and I know that my husband and our son will take care of her.&rdquo
