Racing Heartbeat

My body felt warm. I didn't need to open my eyes to know that my mate was holding me. I felt whole.

I tried to move my hand a little bit but it took a lot more effort than it should have. It was akin to being buried in the sand at the beach. Only even my eyes refused to open, like they had been glued shut. 

I felt trapped and alone, but then I heard Max's whispers to me.

"Come back to me, my little mate." My mate is truly swoon worthy.

"I need you, Luna. I need to be with you. I need to fuck you."

I felt all tingly as his fingers ran up and down the back of my open gown.

"You are mine. My Luna. My soul mate. My everything."

I wanted to shiver but my body stayed still. But my heart felt like it was going faster and faster with each of his sweet nothings whispered to me. 

"I think she can hear you." A familiar female voice said. It sounded muffled. "Her heart beat is spiking every time she hears your voice."
