Chapter 34- We Don't Know Who We Can Trust

Amberleigh decided to be the one with the bigger balls in the room and extend the olive branch so to speak. She held out her hand towards the surly billionaire.

“I, Amberleigh Dubois, do solemnly swear to let past grievance go and try to the best of my ability to not hold any grudges or throw the past in Grayson Andre Godwin’s face.”

Grayson scoffed and hesitated. He left Amber hanging a bit. Leo cleared his throat and narrowed his eyes at his friend.

“This is ridiculous,” said Grayson through gritted teeth, “but fine!”

He shook Amber’s hand quickly.

“Say it. You must say the words to make it count,” she said.

“I, Grayson Godwin do solemnly swear to the best of my ability to let past grievances go and not throw the past in Amberleigh Dubois’ face. There I said it. Are you happy?”

“Close enough. And I will be happy. After I get some more coffee and that bastard and his cunt spawn are in prison getting where they belong.”
