RANDELLE’S POV
Since it was my birthday, I was dressed in a long silver and backless dress. There was a small smile on my face but behind that smile, there was anger, hatred, and the thought of revenge I got from my past life.
Almost everyone in the Pack was present for my birthday. Of course, they were present to witness my union with the Alpha, Rico. A union they awaited so much but deep down in my mind, I knew I was going to give them a wild surprise.
“Happy birthday, my darling.” My father wished me as I got to the foot of the stairs. He took hold of my right hand and then introduced me to the Pack as his beloved daughter. Yes, I was his beloved daughter but I was someone else beloved as well.
My eyes met Jeremy’s who was with the guests. He smiled at me and I blushed without a care in the world. After he declared that I was his mate, we kissed and it was my most passionate kiss ever. The kiss carried the love we shared, the one we weren’t given a chance at in our past lives.
I wished I could tell him about our ordeals in our past life but then, I needed to keep that to myself. I was going to love him dearly in this life. I made sure not to mention that we were related in any way and I hope he wouldn’t.
He was all I wanted to see but unfortunately, Rico appeared before me and took my hand without even asking me.
His presence caused me to frown in disgust and I could see Eva trailing behind him. They must have had a go at their bodies earlier and they were here smiling at me with innocent expressions. In this life, just like I had decided to love Jeremy, I would trample on Rico and Eva until their doom.
I was quite grateful that I wasn't pregnant for Rico in this life, else I would have to go through the pain of losing a baby again. I didn't even want to carry his child at all.
“Randelle…” Rico called out to me with a smile but before he could say anything else, I took out my hand from his grip.
With determination in my eyes, I looked at my father and said, “I reject this union, Father. I do not want to be mated or betrothed to Rico. He is not the one I want.” As soon as I said those words, the Pack members gasped in shock, wondering which female in the Pack would refuse to be mated to Rico.
But then I was different! A revered pureblood and I would never bow down before evil when I could overcome that evil. The Pack members continued to rant and point fingers at me for what I had said.
But above all, Rico felt utterly humiliated. Of course, he could get whatever female he wanted in the Pack, so he wouldn’t understand why I rejected a union with him.
At the same time, my father tried to question me but I refuted him. Jeremy smiled at me widely, proud that I was his and no one else’s.
“Are you out of your mind, Randelle?” Rico looked at me with angry eyes.
“How dare you reject an invitation to make your life better by being with me?” I heard him say and I chuckled mockingly. He must be so full of himself to think that way.
“Who wants to be with you? Huh? You can go be with the dogs because I do not want you!” I said with a condescending look on my face while my words caused everyone to gasp in shock.
“How dare you?” Rico was overwhelmed by anger and he raised his hand at me. His attack came with speed and in the next second, my eyes turned red. I moved with speed and caught hold of his hand. My grip on him was tight and tightened it as the seconds passed by. Rico’s face twisted in pain and at the same time, murmurs arose in the hall.
“Get the fuck away from me!” I thundered as I pushed him away from me. His butt landed on the bare floor and I towered over him. With a victorious look, mixed with viciousness, I looked down at him, threatening him to stay away from me or else he would meet his doom.
However, this single act of mine caused the Pack members to look at me in shock. Fingers were pointed at me wondering what kind of act I just performed. How could a mere female werewolf like me overpower an Alpha?
It would be a shocker to them if they knew that I was way more than they ever imagined. I basked in their sudden attention on me and at the same time, I could see Jeremy looking at me with proud eyes.
Oh, I wanted to run into his arms and stay there forever but it wasn’t time for that yet. A day would come when we would be able to showcase our forbidden love to the Pack.
__
Rumors had spread beyond measure in the Pack of how I was a pureblood and how I had overcome Rico. No one believed that a pureblood like me still existed as only one could overpower an Alpha wolf like Rico.
At the same time, they all started to question Rico’s position as an Alpha wondering why he would get defeated that way. They would only get their answers when they are willing to believe that a pureblood existed. In the long run, everything was just a rumor to them.
I was seated with my father in his study while he questioned why I would reject Rico but I didn’t get to reply to his words when several guards barged into the study with hard looks on their faces.
Immediately, my father stood up at them but they pushed him aside and came at me directly.
I looked at them in horror wondering why they were there. I hadn’t committed any crime and I was sure my father was clean as well.
“What is this insolent behavior you all are showcasing here?” I stood up at them with a terrifying look in my eyes. I had become so confident and I could stand up to ferocious-looking guards now. This was a great feat I overcame in my new life.
“Randelle Russell, you are under arrest for violating the power of the Alpha, impersonating a pureblood, and misleading the people.” A guard stepped forward and said those words but before I could react, they gagged me and immediately dragged me out.
This was the beginning of a great change in my life and I also knew that Ric
o was not aware of who I really was. Or was I wrong?
For days, I had been locked up in prison without food or water. I hadn’t seen daylight in days and for the first time in my life, I knew how important the light the Goddess blessed us with was. However, if Rico thought he could keep me here and I would rot, then he was delusional.I was a pureblood, a breed that could withstand anything. I wouldn’t die just from not eating but even at that, I wanted to get out of prison so bad. I thought of tearing out the iron doors from their hinges but that would be a total waste strength. If I escaped from prison that way, it might kick up an unrest, one that I would be buried in. Deep down, I knew I didn’t have power over the Pack yet to go against Rico.More days passed but I anticipated help from my father. He knew I wasn’t guilty of impersonation or misleading the people. I expected him to stand up for me since he knew who I was but then he never showed up. Was I abandoned once again? At the same time, I wanted to know how Jeremy was doing. W
Randelle The moon was high in the sky when Jeremy and I slipped out the back door of the house. Our feet padded softly on the grass, careful not to make a sound. "Are you sure about this?" Jeremy whispered. His warm breath tickled my ear.I nodded, a knot in my stomach. "We have to go. It's the only way."Jeremy squeezed my hand and we crept forward into the dark woods. The night air was cool on my skin. An owl hooted, making me jump. Jeremy wrapped his arm around me, comforting. We hurried on, bags slung over our shoulders. Inside were just a few items - some clothes, bread and cheese. A small knife that had belonged to my mother."Where will we go?" I asked. My voice sounded loud in the quiet forest. "Somewhere far from here," Jeremy answered. "Where no one knows us. We'll start a new life, just you and me, get strong and prepare for our enemies."I smiled slightly. It was a scary thought, leaving everything behind. But also thrilling, like an adventure. As long as we were toget
RandelleThe scent of pine and rain-soaked earth surrounded us as Jeremy and I ventured deeper into the forest. He guided us with sure footsteps, having traversed this path before in his mysterious past. My hand was clasped in his, our fingers interlaced. With him as my anchor, I followed willingly, curiosity rising within me.Up ahead, the trees parted to reveal a clearing bathed in moonlight. A large bonfire crackled at its center, flames dancing and popping, sending sparks swirling up toward the inky night sky. Surrounding the fire were perhaps two dozen people - werewolves - chatting, laughing, and embracing one another like old friends.I drew in a sharp breath, overwhelmed by the scene. After a lifetime in my father's traditional pack, this casual community was entirely foreign. Sensing my hesitation, Jeremy gave my hand a gentle squeeze. "Welcome to the Freeway Pack," he said, pride resonating in his voice. Before I could respond, a tall, slender man with kind eyes and silver
JeremyThe city lights twinkled below us as Randelle and I stood atop a nondescript building, the night breeze ruffling our hair. I gave her hand a gentle squeeze, a hint of mischief playing on my lips."Ready for an adventure, love?"Randelle quirked an eyebrow, curiosity glimmering in her emerald eyes. "With you? Always."I led her to a door recessed into the shadowed façade, aware of her stealthy footsteps matching mine. My wolf stirred restlessly inside me, anticipating what was to come. We descended a dim stairwell, the scent of garlic and spices growing stronger. This hidden world existed right under the city's hustle and bustle, unbeknownst to the hurried humans above. At the landing, a sentry stood alert, hand on the knife at his hip. His weathered face broke into a grin when he recognized me. "Well, well. Look what the wolf dragged
Randelle The earthy aroma of chamomile filled the crisp morning air as I took a long sip of the steaming herbal tea. Across from me, Jeremy stared pensively out at the sunrise, his eyes clouded with a mixture of sadness and steely determination."Alright, enough vague hints," I said, setting my mug down on the weathered wooden table with a thud. "You've been making want to know how you find Freeway pack. I want the full truth, Jeremy. No more joking, spill it out." He turned to meet my gaze, his expression guarded. "You're right. It's time I told you everything." He paused, carefully considering his words. "Our past lives were...complicated. A twisted entanglement of love, betrayal, power struggles. The dreams have unlocked those buried memories for me. Vivid scenes, emotions that don't belong to this lifetime."I leaned forward, curiosity swirling within me. "Go on. I'm listening."He took a deep breath before continuing, his voice low and heavy with meaning. "In our past lives, Ri
Jeremy I left Randelle sleeping peacefully under the trees where we slept yesterday after getting drunked. She looked so beautiful with sunlight filtering through her hair. But there was work to do. I had to speak with Kieran.I walked through the bustling camp, weaving between wolves. Laughter and shouts filled the air. Then I spotted a familiar broad-shouldered figure. Jake. He was gesturing wildly, telling some exaggerated tale. Grinning, I made my way over. "Jake! You old wolf, still spinning those tall tales?" Jake jumped up and pulled me into a back-slapping bear hug. "Jeremy! Good to see ya, brother!" His bright blue eyes slid over me appreciatively. "Looking for someone?" he asked."Yes, actually. Do you know where Kieran is?" I asked.Jake scratched his bearded chin. "Hmm, last I saw he was over by the eastern riverbank. His camp is somewhere deep in those woods." I nodded. "Thanks. I need to speak with him about something important."Jake's eyes lit up with curiosity.
Randelle's POV: The looming challenge weighed heavy on my mind as Jeremy and I left Kieran's misty glen. Luthien, the formidable direwolf, awaited me at the canyon's end. My determination flickered like a fragile flame in the wind. We journeyed east in tense silence at first. Kieran's words echoed in my thoughts - "subdue Luthien." Finally I voiced the question that had been gnawing at me. "What exactly did Kieran mean by 'subdue' her?" I asked Jeremy. "He wasn't very clear about what I need to do." Jeremy glanced at me, his tawny eyes reflecting a mix of concern and steadfast confidence in my ability. "It means you'll need to establish complete dominance over Luthien," he explained. "Prove that you are the alpha, the one fully in control. She's no ordinary beast, Randelle." His words sent a chill through me. Luthien was more than just a wolf - she was a primal force of nature. And I would have to conquer her ferocity and power. We stretched into tense, planning-filled nig
RandelleThe pale light of dawn crept over the horizon as I slowly opened my eyes. Every muscle in my body screamed in protest as I sat up, remnants of yesterday's grueling training session. Jeremy's regimen was taking its toll, but I could not let pain or exhaustion stop my progress. Too much depended on it. Jeremy was already up, stoking the glowing embers of last night's fire back to life. The dancing flames cast flickering light across his stoic face. Our eyes met, and in his steady gaze I found reassurance. Today would be another step forward."Ready for some breakfast before we start training again?" Jeremy asked, holding up two speared fish he must have caught at sunrise. My stomach grumbled in response. As we cooked the fish over the crackling fire, Jeremy said, "Today will be different. We're going to focus on mental preparation."I blinked in surprise. "Mental preparation?"Jeremy nodded, turning the sizzling fish over the flames. "Physical strength is critical. But against
