Chapter 1

My name is Azara Storm, the daughter of the notorious and most wanted Alpha, Logan Storm.

Like my mother and pack members, I am a Fire Opal wolf. We are that legendary wolf rumoured throughout the world. We are rare, that makes us incredibly special and because of our powers, we've been haunted for centuries.

The highest mountains are our refuge, where we live in isolation and hide from the rest of the world so we won't go extinct.

A shrill of excitement flushed through my spine as I glanced at the calendar. Tomorrow, I will turn 18. This milestone would stir a major change in my life; I would finally get my wolf and I would find my mate.

The marvelous experience of getting my wolf and my mate was the only thing that resonated in my head for weeks.

All my life, I've longed for a lifelong inseparable bond between my wolf and me and the divine companionship that existed between mates, just like my mother and stepfather.

But to possess a wolf to be able to recognize your mate's unique scent, one must undergo a process called ‘shifting’. My mother explained how exhausting and extremely painful it could be, but the pain would subside the more you shift.

The thought of this experience caused a burst of excitement in me, but it also left me with a twinge of nervousness.

The swinging and slamming of the door pulled me from my reverie. A soft smile played on my face as my eyes rested on a familiar masculine figure that strode into my room. His dominating, yet friendly aura clinging to him like a second skin.

“You should sleep; you have a big day ahead of you tomorrow,” My stepfather, Alpha Hunter, said, breaking the silence as he walked towards my bed, stopping a few inches away from me.

His wide smile faded as he read the expression on my face.

“Still nervous about your finding your mate and getting your wolf?” he asked softly, his large brown eyes digging into my anxious ones as my small fingers slid into his large palms.

I nodded weakly, swallowing the lump in my throat as anxiety took over me.

“What if I don't have my wolf? I would be turned into a laughing stock. I would be weak, unable to shift, worthless than an Omega.” My voice trembled as fear crept into the depths of my soul.

“What if I have my wolf but I don't find my mate? I would live the rest of my life miserably lonely…”

The feeling of his large finger against my lips hushed me.

“None of such would happen, you don't have to worry. Also, your mother and I would be there to help distract you from the pain as you shift. Go to bed,” he whispered in the most comforting voice that made me forget my anxiety.

“Thanks,” I mouthed, watching him leave with a small tugging at my lips.

Alpha Hunter was the father I never had. He is a Fire Opal wolf and he is the leader of the pack. During his leisure, we spend quality moments chatting and training.

According to the rules of the pack, every Opal wolf must possess a great fighting skill for self-defense in case faced with Opal wolf hunters.

Alpha Hunter loved me like his own child and there was never a dull moment around him. He loved my mother to a fault and vowed never to hurt or neglect us the way my father did.

Unlike him, my father was a power-hungry tyrant.

He was the opposite of Alpha Hunter.

“Kill or be killed!”

“Let blood overflow!”

Those were his favorite words and he never failed to live by them.

I was born on the day he was slain.

My father, during his lifetime, not only caused great havoc he amassed a great number of enemies. Terrified that his sins might catch up with me as the search for his living relationship grew stronger by the day, my mother severed the only link between my father and me. My name was changed.

I am Azara Storm, but my name is also Azalea Hunter. I took my stepfather's last name to conceal my identity.

My eyes grew weary as I pulled them from the full moon that shone brightly in the sky, illuminating my room. Settling into a comfortable position, I shut my eyes, allowing sleep to overwhelm me.

The sudden shift in the atmosphere stirred me wide awake, but I was no longer in my room. It was like I was teleported into another space. Except it was harsh and the heavy smell of danger hung in the air.

My senses heightened as I was enveloped in gross darkness.

Something wasn't right! My subconscious yelled at me, urging me to dash out of this strange enormous room.

The smell of expensive polished wood and leather tickled my nose, multiplying my curiosity.

Where was I?

Scurrying on my feet to flee to safety, I halted. Fear burrowed deep in my chest sweeping me off my feet as I felt multiple eyes fixated at the back of my neck.

Out of nowhere, four giant wolves emerged from the shadows, circling me with a hint of deadly glow in their eyes. Their steps were slow and calculated and their deadly eyes never blinked as they gawked at me like a hawk monitoring its prey.

I wanted to scream, to run, but fear paralyzed me, pumping out muffled whimpers from my slightly parted lips.

In unison, they shifted, transforming into their human form. A blend of strong, seductive scents oozed from them, making me salivate; at the same time, their lethal aura suffocated me, forcing me to submit effortlessly.

I could make out the giant figures that towered over me. Their faces were impeded by the darkness, and their low aggressive growls shook the wall of the room.

Without thinking, I fled, afraid of what they would do to me, but their rigid hands grabbed me in no time, pinning me to the floor and rendering me powerless.

“You are ours!” They growled, pinning me against the cold floor as I struggled to breathe.

“Ours to taste, ours to bend over and fuck senseless, ours forever.”

Goosebumps blanketed me as sweat blinded my vision. “Leave me alone, please,” I cried, feeling helpless as their weight pressed against my weak body. “Let me go.”

My heart ascended to my throat as one of the men buried his nose against my skin, taking a long satisfying sniff before letting out a soft pur. His actions made my legs clenched as his breath tickled against my bare skin, making me lick my lower lip.

“You belong to us, Azara Storm!” They chorused in unison, making my insides twist in terror.

Chapter 71Giselle's pov.To win a war, casualties are a necessary evil. They are a must if one must tread powerfully on the narrow path of victory. No battles are conquered without collateral damages. No Victor emerges without a scapegoat; the sacrificial lamb– the one that bears the gravest punishment. Lucille was the perfect match. The casualty. The one that took away my sins for me to maintain my innocence. My actions were not amusing, neither was it something to be proud of. But one thing rang constantly at the back of my mind like a cathedral bell. I must survive. I had to. I don't care about who had to die or who I was betraying. My feelings were dead. A painful sigh escaped my lips as I shut my eyes briefly, locking my jaws as I tried to erase Lucille’s screams from haunting me. She didn't deserve to end like this after her unwavering loyalty to me. The agony in her eyes flashed across my mind, tormenting me. She reeked of pain. Raw, intense pain engulfed her like a

First, it was this lowly slave,” She referred to me, eyeing me with contempt before her gaze shifted to Tatiana, warning her to quit the drama. “And now, it's this lying bitch servant? These people are desperate, they will do anything to seek approval, even if it means tarnishing my image,” She refuted Tatiana's accusations vehemently. I recognized her game. She was stalling Alaric, delaying me from selecting the girl that poisoned me. “You choose low people over me. You are hurting my feelings.” Her voice cracked as if she was about to burst into tears. “It's Alpha to you, don't make that grave mistake ever again,” he warned, his tone screaming impending consequences. “I didn't do it. How could I poison Azalea? I admit that I hated her and sent Tatiana to spy on her, and I whipped he

For the first time, the fear that lingered in Giselle's eyes was tangible, shaking her to her core. Her chest rose and fell as the sharp claws of terror tore through her from within. The pounding of her heart against her ribs was so loud that it filled my ears, permeating the thick silence. Her breaths grew sharp and erratic with each passing second as droplets of sweat gathered on her forehead. Shifting uncomfortably, she slid her trembling hands into the gathers of her large skirt with eyes widened as if she had seen a ghost. “How dare you!”I could swear those were the silent threats she muttered at Tatiana as I tried reading her lips. But instead of cowering in fear, she remained rooted, her brown eyes sinking into Giselle's unforgiven ones without blinking. I needed no soothsayer to tell me the cruel punishment she had in store for Ta

Her eyes burned in humiliation as disbelief enveloped her. “What?” I muttered, too stunned to talk as surprise overtook me. My confused eyes met Atlas's blank ones. He nodded slightly, confirming his words. This was huge news. It was too sudden. I couldn't bear this. Smitten by shock, I lowered myself to a chair, beads of sweat coursed down my forehead, and my fingers began to tremble. Did he say this to humiliate Giselle or did he say this because he was beginning to feel something for me? No matter his reasons, he should have spoken with me privately. The shock of receiving this news publicly made me speechless. A burst of excitement spread throughout my stomach as I could hardly contain my joy. Goddess finally answered my prayers. My mates were in love with me and they were ready to accept

Pure rage radiated off her in thick waves, sending chills rushing throughout my body. Goosebumps blanketed my skin as her venomous stare landed on me.Terrified, my hands grabbed Alaric's large arm as I clung to him like a second skin, my eyes begging him to protect me from her. “Don't worry, I won't let her hurt you,” his assuring voice was like a soothing balm to my troubled heart. It was enough to convince me that Giselle had no power over me. His large arm wrapped around my waist like a shield as I burrowed into his skin. The sight almost sent Giselle insane with anger. “Do you have a death wish? How dare you challenge me?” The ground shook underneath my feet as Arien growled dominantly, subduing Giselle, but it was not enough to quell the furnace spreading inside her like wildfire. Muf

Chapter 66Azara.I wept into my pillow, my body shaking with grief. I had already lost track of time. I couldn't recall the minutes that slipped away, but I knew it was over thirty minutes. I was late. My mind drifted to Asael. It was as if his long, hard, icy stare bored into my soul, reminding me of the consequences of disobeying him. I couldn't imagine how hurt he would feel by my absence. It was his first time inviting me to a place of prestige, yet I faltered. I doubt if he would ever extend that act of kindness ever again. No doubt, he would be so pissed. Asael was a man of discipline. He never tolerated lateness. Sadness collapsed into me as I thought of those he was about to introduce to me. They would be anxious in their seats, longing to see their Luna. Fear jolted me as the door creaked open. My breath hung in my throat the moment the scent of sandalwood and vanilla slowly slipped into the room. Atlas. I adjusted on the bed, my body trembling as I shielded mysel
