Chapter 16: The Invasion Of The Northern Border

The kingdom had been at peace for many years, thanks in large part to the efforts of Aric and Kaida. But even in times of peace, there were always new threats on the horizon, new challenges to overcome.

One day, as they were tending to their farm, a messenger arrived at their doorstep. He was out of breath and clearly distressed.

"Aric, Kaida," he gasped, "there's been an attack on the northern border. The army is mobilizing, but we need your help. The enemy is powerful and well-organized, and we need all the help we can get."

Aric and Kaida exchanged a look. They knew that they couldn't turn their backs on their people in a time of need.

"We'll be there," Aric said firmly. "Gather the troops and meet us at the border."

And with that, they set out once again, their swords at their sides and their hearts filled with a sense of purpose.
