“Did you even sleep?” I ask Dagar.

“I have slept for too long. Too many years. My body can hold out a little longer.”

“Did you sleep?” Grimm asks me.

I sigh. “Barely.”

He gives me a sympathetic look.

“Sit,” Dagar says.

He has led us outside where he stood last night. It’s now morning, but the sun hasn’t even come out yet.

Grimm and I sit on the ground. Dagar sits in front of us, a bonfire burning beside him.
