Chapter 43I threw green fireballs and the first three that were heading my way, knocking them back into the wall behind them. This caused pictures to come crashing down from the wall above them. Glass shattered as they fell and skid across the floor in all directions. I then took one in a green fireball and snapped his neck, tossing his body aside. He wouldn’t actually die unless I decapitated him. He would wake up, but it wouldn’t be for a few hours. The other two were unconscious on the floor so I left them there and proceeded to use magic to pick up my dining table and slam it into the next two Vampire Hybrids that walked through my kitchen door. Chapter 44(Ambrosia)I became aware of my surroundings slowly. But when the memories of last night started to come back through my mind, I tried to act like I wasn’t awake yet. I wanted to feel out where I had been taken, before I just announced to the world that I was awake. I kept my eyes shut and just listened, trying to keep my breath as calm and slow as it had been. I wasn’t sure if there were Vampires here, and they would hear my heart beating faster if I started to panic. It felt like I was lying in a bed of some sort. I could feel covers over my torso and I was at a comfortable temperature. So that was a good thing, right? I noted the smell of something cooking. I had no idea what it was. Chapter 45Ramses came back soon after letting me know he checked on Katrina and Jade. They were both asleep and he didn’t bother waking them. He would bring them over in the morning. He then proceeded to pace next to me. “Talk to me brother, think out loud. Let’s work on this together.” He said. Ramses was always my closest brother. We just got along so well, and he understood me on a lot of levels, it felt like. Not that my other brothers didn’t, but I was just never as close with them as I was Ramses. I could relate to all of them though. I had my fair share of cool and calculated moments like Raphael, or my unyielding fiery moments like Raziel. I could be a jokester and life of the party like Ramses, or I could be quiet and reserved, hidden in the background, more like myself. The way that I was, was really dependent on the moment. Chapter 46“Come sit down, child.” The older woman said, motioning at an empty spot on the couch next to the dark haired man. I reluctantly walked over and I could feel his eyes, well, both of theirs, trained straight onto me. I just tried to ignore it. I had no idea what type of creatures they were, but honestly, I was afraid. The second I took my seat an intense feeling of doom settled into my chest and stomach. I was used to feeling fear around supernatural creatures. I was Human, it was normal for me. But this was so much worse, so much more intense. Chapter 47 I had no idea when I dozed off, but thankfully I didn’t dream at all. I have no idea how long I slept, but when I woke up I was curled up next to Dominik. He had his arms around me and his head was resting on top of my head. We were in the same position we ended the night in with our feet on the footrest. It took me a moment to register where I was and what I was doing before I suddenly realized and moved out of his grasp. I didn’t say anything to him, but he started laughing when he woke up and realized what was going on. “You don’t have to run away, I don’t bite.” He cackled. I just laughed. Ok, so he wasn’t mad. Chapter 48(Rowen)The Vampires were of help, they did let us know the location they planned to take Ambrosia, which was different from the warehouse location we had already gotten out of them. We sent our armies to infiltrate both locations and came up empty handed. Ambrosia was not located at either of the locations, but we did manage to take out some more of The Others. Luckily, we were able to get some of the other plans they had stored away as well. Apparently, their operation was a lot bigger and deeper seeded than we expected. They had a lot more plans than just opening Pandora’s Box. These guys were like one of those damn cults on crack. They have locations scattered throughout Rome, and even in the states. It’s insane how deep their seeds go. It had been 12 days, and we hadn’t gotten an inkling as to where Ambrosia could be. Chapter 49“Amuletum dicimus contradixerit tibi adduc velatos te et domum tuam. Tu nos iubes?” The Witches started chanting. I was impatiently waiting, but nothing seemed to be happening. They continued chanting and a green light appeared above them for a split second and then it was gone. But it sent an energy blast that flung books off the shelves in my library. Chapter 50I tuned back to the conversation that Dominik was having with his brother Andres. We were in town getting an array of items on the shopping list for Hilda, and it was taking quite a while. We had to go to like five stores and collect a plethora of items from each one. This list was at least triple the size of that list Dominik and I had gotten last time. That's why all three of us went, it was going to be a while. I don’t even know what they were arguing about, but they started punching each other and I just laughed because I was totally confused. These two did not act like they were both millennia or more old Angels. They acted like kids my age, and I got a crack out of it every time I noticed it. How can someone so old, still seem so young?
