Chapter 48(Rowen)The Vampires were of help, they did let us know the location they planned to take Ambrosia, which was different from the warehouse location we had already gotten out of them. We sent our armies to infiltrate both locations and came up empty handed. Ambrosia was not located at either of the locations, but we did manage to take out some more of The Others. Luckily, we were able to get some of the other plans they had stored away as well. Apparently, their operation was a lot bigger and deeper seeded than we expected. They had a lot more plans than just opening Pandora’s Box. These guys were like one of those damn cults on crack. They have locations scattered throughout Rome, and even in the states. It’s insane how deep their seeds go. It had been 12 days, and we hadn’t gotten an inkling as to where Ambrosia could be. I knew she was alive, I could feel her presence anytime I tried to materialize to her, but she was just out of reach. It was the strangest thing. “Br
Chapter 49“Amuletum dicimus contradixerit tibi adduc velatos te et domum tuam. Tu nos iubes?” The Witches started chanting. I was impatiently waiting, but nothing seemed to be happening. They continued chanting and a green light appeared above them for a split second and then it was gone. But it sent an energy blast that flung books off the shelves in my library. It also knocked the three Witches back, breaking the circle and stopping the chanting. Katrina looked up at me from the floor. “I’m sorry, Rowen. It didn’t work. The amulet isn’t reachable by magic.” She said. I sighed out loud. “What do we do now?” I asked, eager to get any reply that would bring Ambrosia home. “I-I don’t know… Wait!” Katrina cried. My eyes shot up to Katrina, waiting for her to talk. “Give me something sharp, I need to cut myself.” She said, holding her hand out. I raised an eyebrow at her, but did as she asked and snapped to produce a very sharp but dainty knife, and handed it to her. “Shadows, I summo
Chapter 50I tuned back to the conversation that Dominik was having with his brother Andres. We were in town getting an array of items on the shopping list for Hilda, and it was taking quite a while. We had to go to like five stores and collect a plethora of items from each one. This list was at least triple the size of that list Dominik and I had gotten last time. That's why all three of us went, it was going to be a while. I don’t even know what they were arguing about, but they started punching each other and I just laughed because I was totally confused. These two did not act like they were both millennia or more old Angels. They acted like kids my age, and I got a crack out of it every time I noticed it. How can someone so old, still seem so young? Well, two people at that? It was insane. Once they were done punching each other they called a truce and we entered the next store. Once we got everything we needed it was finally time to be done. We started heading back to the hous
Chapter 51“I-I didn’t know!” I shouted, trying to convince them. “It makes sense now, it’s how you have magic. It’s why no one has come looking for you. They can’t get in here when you have the only key that opens this Box.” Andres said. The playful, boyish tone he once carried was completely gone from his voice. Rather than sounding like a 19 year old boy, he had the husky voice and powerful tone of someone who had lived a millennia. I instantly panicked. I had to try and play this off or I was going to be killed right here, right now. “I don’t have a fucking amulet, you would have seen it on me by now if I had it! I’ve been here for months!” I huffed, trying to defend myself, but not sound too guilty. They didn’t need to know that it was cloaked in magic, that could stay a secret. But I wouldn’t be lying if they searched me because they would never find it. I looked at Dominik, his face was hard and unyielding. It reminded me of when I first came here, the look he gave me when I
Chapter 1I watched Katrina, my love, sit by Ramses' side on the living room floor of her home. She was holding his hand and he was starting to stir. I assumed he was coming out of his coma. Whatever he needed to do in his mind he must have completed, allowing him to come back to his body. “Ramses, hey baby.” She said, softly, and his eyes started to flutter open. That was my queue to leave. I took one last glance at Katrina, as this would be the last time I would ever see her. The last look I would have of her beautiful face. I shoved down the pain radiating through my chest at the thought. I reached for the necklace Katrina had given me earlier and clasped my hand around it. “Goodbye, my love.” I whispered, and then I materialized away from her house. I intended to go home, but I didn’t quite make it there. I found myself, instead, staring into the spring in the forest where Katrina had pulled this necklace from. It had me wondering just why it was in there to begin with. I stil
Chapter 2Current time- “Ivy, doll. Where is my good suit?” I asked. “I set it out on our bed for you.” She replied. I smiled. Good girl. “Fuck I just love her.” Viper growled. “I know, isn’t she amazing? I will never tire of her.” I replied back to my Wolf. I put the suit on and did a mirror check. Damn this suit looked good. I turned around just as Ivy was walking into our bedroom with some folded towels in her arms. I just stood back and took in the sight. She hadn’t gotten dressed yet, she was still wearing a rose gold set of lace lingerie I had bought for her. It was my favorite set. Her blonde hair was falling in waves down her back and some was in front of her shoulders. Just underneath her hair on the right side, I could see part of my rose gold eight pointed star glinting on her cheek in the light from the lamp. I put my hand up to my neck and traced the area where her Vampire mark was. It was an upside down pentacle, a dark blood red color. We locked eyes and I got lost
Chapter 3Ivy started crying again, but she knew… She always knew what would happen if she betrayed me. “Why… Why did you have to do this? Why did you have to force me into this?!” I yelled. I snapped my fingers, instantly binding Ivy with rose gold rope so she couldn’t move. I let go of her neck and she fell to the floor in a mess of tears. I put my thumb and forefinger against the bridge of my nose. I paced in my study with only the sounds of her cries echoing through my mind, before I finally spoke again. “I don’t want to fucking do this, you know that right? You forced my hand, Ivy. Kendy... Whatever the fuck your name is.” I snarled. I looked at her but she was looking at the floor crying. I bent down and pulled her chin up so I could look her dead in the eyes. I could see the fear on her face. “Please, Rowen. I love you, honey. Please, we can fix this… I... I can fix this.” She begged. “No one can fix this.” I mumbled, dropping her chin and continuing to pace in front of her.
Chapter 4(Katrina)I turned to see who just materialized behind me and locked eyes with Rowen. I was in shock, I hadn’t seen him in years. I didn’t even know how many it had even been. My heart ached at the sight of him, I don’t think I ever truly got over him, if I was being honest with myself. I didn’t even get a chance to stand up before he had me by my neck forcing my back into the nearest tree. I know I should have been afraid, but I honestly didn’t think he would hurt me. He tightened his grip though, which surprised me. “This is all your fault, Katrina.” He snarled in my ear. “What is? Rowen, you’re hurting me.” I cried. He released his grip a little on my neck, which helped, but I still didn’t understand why he was doing this. I don’t know what I did. He reached down and grabbed the amulet I had given him all those years ago. I thought he was going to rip it off his neck, but he didn’t. He just released me from the tree. “I’m sorry.” He mumbled, and I could hear the pain
