ELENA'S POV

"How can they not see?" I whispered to myself. I stood on a raised platform in the great hall. Three days passed since hiding in the closet with Adrian. Now mandatory pack meetings are happening. Every single pack member required attendance. No choice. All here.

Marcus stood beside me. His Luna. His wife. Playing a role perfectly like an actress on stage. Smiled when supposed to smile. Nodded when supposed to nod. Looked proud when supposed to look proud. But inside I felt sick. I felt anger burning hot like fire in my chest. Marcus started giving a speech. The voice came out strong. Authoritative. Like a real leader. Like a good Alpha. We talked about pack security. About unity. About protecting each other. About being strong together. Words sounded beautiful. Sounded right. It sounded like the truth. But all lies. All fake. All covering up rot underneath.

Pack listened with rapt attention. Every face turned toward Marcus. Every eye focused on him. Drinking in his words l

ELENA'S POV "Patrol wolves say you've been going to border territories more often lately."Marcus' voice cut through breakfast silence, accusatory tone and suspicious tone. Threatening tone. Expression dark. Eyes narrowed. Alpha posture aggressive. Dominance radiating. Tension filling room like physical presence. Like weight pressing down. Like danger manifesting. I looked up from the plate. Food untouched. Appetite gone. Had been gone for weeks. For months maybe. Since I came back to the past. Since I started fighting conspiracy. Since life became a nightmare disguised as a second chance. Kept face calm though heart raced. Though the wolf inside panicked. Though my mind screamed danger. Has anyone seen me meeting Viktor? Had patrol reported? Has a spy witnessed? Has betrayal already been discovered?"Been gathering herbs for the medical center," I said smoothly. Words practiced. Voice steady. Luna's mask is perfect. "Wolfsbane antidote ingredients only grow in certain areas near the

  • The Rebirth Of Elena Rivers   Chapter 29

ELENA'S POV "Got it." Asrian voice held triumph, the satisfaction, the victory. His contact in pack administration came through two days later with Elder James phone records, two days of waiting, two days of anxiety. Two days of hoping the source is reliable. I hope the information is accurate. Hoping evidence existed. We met in Adrian's locked office late at night. Darkness outside. Silence inside. Just us and truth waiting to be discovered. Spreading printed records across the desk. Pages and pages. Numbers and numbers. Proof and proof. What I found was damning. It was devastating. Was exactly what was needed.James has been in regular contact with an unknown number. Dozens of calls and texts over the past six months. Not occasional. Not rare. Regular. Frequent. Constant almost. Pattern of communication. Pattern of coordination. Pattern of conspiracy. "Can we trace this number?" I asked. My heart is racing. Already knowing the answer would change everything. Would prove everything.

  • The Rebirth Of Elena Rivers   Chapter 28

ELENA'S POV "He knows too much."Adrian's words came out dark, heavy, weighted with understanding, with horror. With realization of how deep the conspiracy went. How far betrayal reached. How compromised the pack really was. Met him at a secret spot in the forest immediately after the encounter with Viktor. After meeting under ancient oak. After conversation with enemy Alpha. After gathering intelligence. After playing the role. After surviving. Barely surviving. My heart is still racing. Hands still shaking. The wolf is still on edge from being so close to the predator. So close to danger. So close to death disguised as opportunity.Repeated everything Viktor said. Every word. Every detail. Every piece of information he showed. Every text message. Every betrayal is documented in digital form. Every secret exposed. Every vulnerability revealed. Every weapon given to the enemy. Adrian's expression grew darker with each word I spoke. Face becoming harder. Eyes are becoming colder. Wolf

  • The Rebirth Of Elena Rivers   Chapter 27

ELENA'S POV "Time up, Doctor, meet me at an old oak tree tomorrow at noon, or assume your answer is no." Viktor's demand for an answer came in the form of a message delivered by one of his wolves. Left at the border with my name on it. Found by patrol. Brought to pack house. Handed to me by a warrior who did not know what it contained. Who does not know delivering threats. Delivering an ultimatum. Delivering countdown to decision. Not simple. Direct. Threatening in simplicity. In directness. In absolute certainty that held power. That controlled situation. That determined my fate. Showed a message to Adrian immediately. Meeting in his office. Door locked. Blinds closed. Privacy secured. Safety ensured. As much as anything safe anymore. As much as anything secure anymore. As much as anything certain anymore.Debated options. Going in circles. Weighing risks. Calculating dangers. Measuring benefits against costs. Lives against information. Safety against intelligence. Everything again

  • The Rebirth Of Elena Rivers   Chapter 26

ELENA'S POV "She's doing it." Words came out whisper, voices shaking with rage, with horror. With disbelief even though I expected this, even though I knew this even though I watched it. Three days passed with no movement from Sophia. Three days waiting. Three days watching. Three days of anxiety building. I began to wonder if somehow my presence in the medical center made Sophia cautious. Making her delay plans. Making her rethink strategy. Making her wait for a better opportunity. Better timing. Better moments when guards are down. When attention elsewhere. When could act unseen. Then the fourth night happened. Hidden cameras caught her. Finally, Finally after days of nothing. After days of waiting. After days of torture wondering when. Wondering if. Wondering how. Adrian and I watched footage together. Hearts pounding. Breath held. Bodies tense. Every muscle is tight. Every nerve is firing. Every instinct screams. Sophia entered the medical center at two fifteen AM. Time stamp glo

  • The Rebirth Of Elena Rivers   Chapter 25

ELENA'S POV"Medical supplies ready for replacement. Meet me at nine AM."Adrian's coded message glowed on the phone screen. Read it three times. Four times. Making sure I understood. Making sure it's real. Making sure not to imagine hope in darkness. I returned home just before dawn. Slipping back into bed beside Marcus as if never left. As if not being in a cell. As if not being threatened with execution. As if Tommy did not appear at the window with a message saying help coming. Saying Adrian alive. Saying not over. Body exhausted but mind sharp. Focused. Awake. Alert. Something shifted. Something changed. Something gave me a second wind. Second chance within second chance. Second opportunity within second opportunity.Knew exactly what was coming. The previous timeline burned into memory. Tommy Morrison brought to the medical center sick with wolfsbane poisoning in exactly two weeks from when? From before? From now on? Timeline confused. Jumbled. Mixed. But I knew I had approximat
