With her mind made up, Elowyn no longer stressed herself with many things.

Recalling what the Alpha had told her earlier, she started freshening up, getting ready for dinner.

It was time to meet others and get acquainted with them.

        *****

Meanwhile, inside Kayden’s villa, he was in the main living room with several people who looked quite relaxed and not imposing.

“Kayden, are you really sure that we should keep this girl?”

“Yes, she looks a bit delicate.”

“What’s her story?”

Kayden looked at the men and women who were not just his subordinates, right-hand men, but also friends with a smile.

He couldn’t help but remember how lonely he was when he first joined the supernatural world. The fear, doubt and many other thoughts. He was lost, but one by one, meeting them made his life pretty much easier.

They have been together for years, and in all these years, they have remained united and forged towards the same goal; becoming stronger while remaining united.

Unlike other packs, his pack focused more on quality than quantity. Every single member in his pack was useful in his or her way, and they were irreplaceable. Whether they were werewolves, coyotes, vampires, witches or ordinary human beings. Each one of them has a part and role to play in the pack.

Bringing a new member would obviously arouse the attention of those closest to him. Rather than saying that they would disagree for Elowyn to stay at the pack, it was more of showing concern.

After all, anyone with good eyesight could tell that there wasn’t anything special about Elowyn at a glance. So why go through so much trouble?

“First, she is someone my savior, the powerful witch Hazel assigned to me. I owe her a favor, so I must keep the little girl,” he didn’t bother to hide the first reason why he accepted Elowyn from his group of friends.

Surely, upon hearing that, the four people were stunned before wearing accepting expressions.

Who didn’t know the witch?

“If she came through Hazel, then she should be good, right?” Bolton, a bulky man with a bass voice, said as he scratched his head while looking at others.

A young woman draped in a red cloak rolled her eyes at Bolton before shifting to Kayden and asked, “Hazel, don’t just bring people over without much going on? What’s her story?” sensing that there was more to it than what meets the eye.

Kayden didn’t respond to that question directly since he didn’t know much himself. So, he vaguely gave an answer, “Time will tell, but we all need to know that she is special. As long as we treat her sincerely and teach her well, we will benefit in the future. So, I implore you to use all your tricks and make her strong.”

“Oh! What kind of training? She is definitely no werewolf, witch or vampire. She looks human. What do you want us to train her?” Olivia, a woman clad in black and tight leather, making her look like a dominatrix, asked curiously as she tilted her head, looking at Kayden.

Kayden flashed a smile at her and answered, “Consider her as human now,” his answer making the four to look at him with astonishment, but they didn’t bother to ask much further.

Since she was going to be treated as a human, the training wasn’t that difficult. It was going to be much easier, and since they were repaying Hazel, they wouldn’t slack off.

“Olivia, I need to make new documents for Elowyn. I will give you her name and other relevant details that you may need. Get me the documents as soon as possible.”

Olivia nodded her head as she uncrossed her legs, the visual impact very forceful.

“Letty, try to get close to Elowyn as much as possible and if you can, look into it and see if you can find anything!” Kayden instructed the woman draped in a red cloak, and she flashed a grin at him.

“Just leave it to me!” she confidently said as she fidgeted with her fingers.

Kayden gave her an appreciative nod before turning to the guys, “Bolton and Paul, look into the training schedule for a rookie. We are starting as early as tomorrow. We don’t have much time.”

The two men nodded, accepting their assignment.

The group of five chatted for a while and only stopped when someone came over to announce that dinner was ready.

With food cooked, the five whose appetite was very huge, they didn’t remain seated but hurriedly got to their feet and started making way to the communal hall where everyone that night was going to dine.

But before heading there, Kayden didn’t forget to stop by Elowyn’s villa to pick her up. She had picked the villa that was just number two from his. So, they were very close.

“You guys wait. I will pick her up!” he informed his friends before walking towards the villa.

Meanwhile, Elowyn, after getting changed, was still nervous.

Should she go out or not?

She was busy playing that game as she sat on the sofa, feeling anxious about meeting people.

As she was busy contemplating like that, there was a light knock at the door, and she jumped out of the sofa, her heart pounding.

[Why are you acting as if there is a robber outside? Show a brave face and get the hell out of the house!]

Elowyn harrumphed as she got a chiding from the ancestor, although she knew that she wanted the best for her.

“Elowyn, it's me, Kayden. I have come to take you to dinner!”

When she heard that it was the Alpha, she sighed relievedly, her muscles releasing some tension.

She straightened out her clothes as she didn’t want to appear too rusty.

Once done, she trotted towards the door and in a few moments, she was opening the door.

Creak.

The door opened, and a smile appeared unconsciously on her face the moment she spotted the Alpha.

As much as she still hates it, the man was so fine. It would have been a blessing if she had met him first before Hilary. Now her heart didn’t have any space to appreciate such a fine-looking man.

“Kayden!” she called out to him, and he nodded at her.Earlier, the Alpha had told her repeatedly to call him by his name without the title. Although she felt uncomfortable at first, after exchanging words a few more times, she found herself calling him like that.Perhaps she adapted pretty well because she used to call Hilary by his name as well. Especially when they were alone.Anyway, that wasn’t the crux of the matter right now. She wasn’t with Hilary anymore but with Kayden.[Doesn’t she look beautiful?] Caesar shamelessly boasted as he groomed himself, and Kayden found himself taking several sneakier glances at Elowyn. She wasn’t wearing any fancy clothes, yet she looked ethereal. His heart couldn’t help but pound.‘Beautiful!’“Um ….. um,” but that wonderful moment was disrupted when Letty cleared her throat exaggeratedly, making Elowyn’s fa

Elowyn was in a great mood as she looked at the villa she finally settled on after checking the other villas that were currently not in use.To think that Alpha Kayden could build so many villas for his pack members to live in, she could see the love he has for his family, and that alone made her like the man even more.Coming to the Aynor pack, Elowyn always knew that her stay was guaranteed. After all, Hazel had settled everything for her. But in that moment when she was speaking with the Alpha, she couldn’t help but want to do something for herself. She alone understood how badly she wanted this chance. She knew that the Alpha didn’t have any reason to train her or be involved with this mess. That’s why she went down on her knees to beg him for this chance. She wanted him to know her earnestness. Her looks can be deceiving, and that could be deadly. What if no one takes her seriously or simply assumes that she is delicate and couldn&r

“I will have your identification problem solved before the end of the week. So, I might need your details, if you don’t mind.”Elowyn readily gave them. she didn’t even need to give false information at all. however, she couldn’t help but remind him of something.“I am not sure how you will find my name written in the system. If it’s not deceased, then please just have my previous identification reissued, but if it comes out as deceased, then please use Gardner instead of Gregory as my last name,” she firmly said, taking into account that Hilary might have declared her dead. After all, she truly died in some sense that night.Kayden was curious when he heard that. After all, how could a living person be announced dead all of a sudden? So, he asked her directly.“Do you mind telling me about what happened to you? Why do you need to hide and what you want to achieve? You can choose not to say anyt

She was once fooled by Hilary, and she wasn’t going to let another man fool her again.Luckily, she was only here to stay away from trouble and train. She wasn’t here to date and fool around. With her goals firm, she pushed aside her bias towards Kayden. However, he lives his life, which was on him and not her.So, why fuss? With that in mind, her eyes softened as a smile appeared on her face.Unknown to her, her changes were all captured by Kayden. In fact, her scent shocked him. From being sweet to sour suddenly. It was sour briefly and in that short moment, he could sense this strong aversion towards him that he couldn’t understand. Not understanding what her mind was thinking, the sourness vanished, replaced by the sweetness that got him enchanted. If only he could read her mind, then wouldn’t he be stressed?Unfortunately, there was no way to solve this problem. He could only take it one second at a

Back to the present, after Elowyn ate her food, she began to focus on Linda.“Where are we going. What is it called?”“Aynor town. It’s a private small town with a reasonable number of residents,” Linda answered cautiously.Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She wasn’t particularly fond of bustling places. They made her feel socially awkward. She was more used to staying in secluded places. Perhaps she was influenced by her mother, who took her to stay in the woods for years before she found Hilary, who took her to stay with his pack, which resided in the woods as well.Due to their uniqueness, it was rare for packs to live amongst normal human beings. They might mingle and work with them, but to live amongst them, that would mean increasing the risk of being found out. There weren’t many people who knew about the supernatural. Whilst the leaders knew about it, normal humans had no clue. To avo
