LOGIN“Alpha!”
He snapped his head back to see his Beta waving a red piece of cloth at him behind thick fumes of smoke. Fuck! His eyes darted around in time to catch a snipper stationed at the far end of a building. Double fuck! He hissed, bending forward as he clutched his groin. This human the moon goddess had cursed him with might actually be the end of him. Before he could say Jack, she already had the cold muzzle of her gun pinned to the side of his head. [Their reinforcements have arrived and we are outnumbered. We need to get out of here quick!] His Beta’s voice boomed in his head through the mind link but he kept his eyes trained on the human in front of him. “This is for invading my space.” She snarled before hitting his head with the butt of the gun, earning a slight groan from him. “I wouldn't do that if I were you.” He countered as he straightened, forcing her to look up at him. Barking out a wry laugh, she glared hard at him. “I would be begging on my knees if I were you.” He let out a dry chuckle before calmly looking into her eyes. “Is that what you want, human?” She held her gun tighter at the change in his voice, her fingers suddenly trembling at the trigger. “Do you desperately want to see me begging on my knees?” He asked, walking closer to the muzzle of her gun. Her throat bobbed and her neck burned red without her permission. Why did she suddenly have a feeling that they were talking about two different things all together? Extending his hand towards her, he tilted his head to the side. “Come with me and you'll be the only person I kneel to.” “Wh…what?” She spluttered at the rate her heart beat quickened. Her palms suddenly grew sweaty. What was all the nonsense she was feeling? [Alpha! Duck!] At that, he dived into her, rolling them to the side and under the protection of a rock as rain of bullets tore through the ground he was standing on seconds ago. “What are…” “Shhh!” He hissed, cupping her lips. When he felt the familiar coldness of a muzzle pressed against his stomach, a wry smile tugged at his lips as his hand slid off her face. “What? Even after saving your life, you aren't grateful?” “You should be grateful you got a few extra minutes to breathe.” She hissed in return, her heart pounding hard against her ribcage from being extra close to him even as the bullets continued to rain down around them. “You still want to be loyal to the people who won't waste a breath in finishing you off to get me?” He had a brow raised as he asked. She let her lip pull up in a semblance of a smirk, “as long as they get you.” A muscle feathered in his jaw as his green eyes turned cold. Her eyes turned equally cold as they glared at themselves. Without wasting a single breath, he grabbed her chin. She pushed the muzzle deeper into his taut belly without hesitation, ignoring whatever tingles she felt and daring him to do anything out of the ordinary. “You belong to me!” He pronounced, his eyes looking into hers one at a time. She spat into his face, making him flinch from the impact before smiling. “I'd rather get my throat slit than belong to the enemy of my people.” She fired back at him, the hand holding the gun shaky from tension. “Is that so?” He let off a smirk as he leaned in dangerously closer to her lips. “You are already cornered by my comrades.” She commented with a tinge of pride. “Or not?” He tilted his head to the side, his smirk turning into a crazed smile on seeing the look of pride slowly die off her face. “What do you m…” He leaned in at that moment and sealed her lips shut with a kiss, his hand still holding her jaw as his lips moved against hers. Ignoring the metallic tang of blood from him, she let out a moan, her body tightening even as she melted against him. This shouldn't be happening! She could feel her brain mushing up. The sounds of bullets continued raining into the ground and already dead bodies blurred out of her view, leaving a loud ringing in her ears. This shouldn't be happening! Her closing eyes snapped open and she did the only thing her brain could think of at that moment. She pulled the trigger right into his belly. She woke up the next morning feeling heavy, her brain mushy and her eyes alert like she should be looking out for something. She felt off.She blinked, trying to remember yesterday. She remembered being left alone for an entire day and a half without food. She remembered her deal with Iris. She was supposed to reject the mate bond with the devil. But after that? Nothing. Her brain came up blank but for some reason, she knew something significant happened. Something she shouldn't forget, something horrible. Something she shouldn't have done. She could feel her heart palpitating, a cold sweat rolling down her back. Why couldn't she remember shit? And why wasn't she hungry? She was supposed to be hungry! And why was she dressed? And clean? Just then, there was a knock on her door. Her door? She scoffed. Why had she called it her door like she owned it? This was her goddamned prison. But wait! A knock? Her brows furrowed. Who would be knocking when all these maniacs ever did was
He couldn't resist, he didn't know how to resist even when he knew that she wasn't doing this with a clear head. “Quinn?” He called her name into her mouth and for a moment she paused. Her hands in his hair, her body on his while his body was angled in an uncomfortable 90 degree. What he felt right now was a foreign emotion but it seeped into him slowly till he felt himself engulfed by it.He felt fear. Fear that she was going to just draw back as if she just got burnt. He held his breath but slowly wrapped his hands around her waist, locking her in her position. Just then, a sinful moan left her mouth as she dived in again, knocking him down to the floor, she on him, rubbing herself against him as she kissed his lips ferociously. He laid there, wondering what cruel plan the moon goddess had next. “Omg! I hate you! I hate you so much!” She quaked as she rode on him, her lips peppering kisses from his mouth down to his jawline. “I love you.” He responded, letting his fingers slo
He had whirled around and stomped towards her, wrapped his hands around her throat and dragged her up to her feet. She had a sweet smile on her lips as he made a show of strangling her.“No need to be performative, Alpha Damon.” She placed a hand over his and he growled. “No one else is here with us.” She raised a brow until he let go off her neck. “You can't overstep your boundaries just because we are friends, Iris.” “Not just friends, Alpha.” She stood her ground, the smile already wiped off her face. “Finn and Theodore are your friends, Damon.” She crossed her arms. “When it comes to me…to the both of us… we have always been more than just friends.” He raised his hand, silencing her. But she continued anyway. “I really hope you aren't going to check up on her.” “You will stop meddling in my business.” He hissed.“No, I won't. I won't, because the moment you start going back on your words in front of us, your friends, then you will start being indecisive in front of your
She laid perfectly still on the bed even as her head was a jumbled mix of messy thoughts. Her tummy growled again and she let out a low sob, folding herself into a perfect semi-circle as she clutched on her stomach, trying to ease the biting pain. “How the hell am I supposed to ‘open up enough to make him feel me and come down here'?” She cried into her shoulder. They were all maniacs! She needed to get out of here but more than that, she needed to eat something. If only they could barge in right now with the rotten smelling gruel, she would waste no time slurping it up. How could she get him? Alpha Damon Archer. She remembered his name. The more she stayed, the more she felt like she was going insane because why the heck did she suddenly miss him? “No, I don't. I don't miss him at all.” Saying it out loud was making it a reality. ‘... reject him to his face.’How was she supposed to reject something she couldn't even understand? Or accept it?She needed a strategy. Someth
He gripped the arm rest of his throne till he felt his fingers crack, he was sure a dent had already formed with the way his council members had their eyes on him. What the hell was his Gamma and Iris doing to his mate? Yesterday, he had barely left before feeling the slight unpleasant feeling at his nape. That was the work of his Gamma, he was sure of it but he couldn't just turn back and go back on his words. He had told her that he would see her in a week's time and he intended to keep his words to the very last even if it meant putting himself through this sort of torture. “Is the Alpha alright?” His now recovered Beta asked, a slight worry line on his face. There was something his mate didn't know and it was the fact that his wolves could regrow any part of their bodies with the immediate help of the healer. He could imagine the shock on her face when she got to see the Beta she kissed standing tall and hearty. Kissed? The image resurfaced in his head and he let loose his
She sat trembling at the corner of the room, cold sweat bidding down her spine as her wide eyes scanned everything when she heard the sudden footsteps behind the door. Her heart plummeted into her belly, the torture from yesterday forcing its way into her mind again. Those monsters! She began to seethe, spittle bubbling at the corner of her mouth at the speed her body was trembling. She had her hands wrapped tightly around her chest, ready to claw at her skin when the door burst open and the twins stepped in again and this time with a maid behind them. She hissed beneath her breath. “What? Do you have something else to say?” Iris asked with a smug smile. “Fuck you!” She spat, her eyes widening with rage. “Say what?” Her twin brother stepped right in front of her.She shrank back, her pupils dilating as the memory of yesterday floated into her brain. It didn't matter if they used voodoo or if they were purely insane or if she was probably the one going insane, she didn't want t
A force slammed her back into her seat, her veins thrumming with rushing blood as heat began to rise up her neck.“What the hell do you think you are DOING!?” The sexy guy hissed at her, his eyes reddish and wild. “I…” She opened her mouth to talk but bit back a scream as the body of the man befor
“Stop this madness I beg of you!” Her throat was getting hoarse and her voice rougher as she kept screaming her way down the forest. “You can't do this to me! You simply can't!” Her wide eyes were raw red as she glared at his side profile. Sighing, he turned back to face her and for a moment, she
She felt the air as her body fell forward only to open her eyes to a strange environment and a pair of legs few feet away. Lifting her eyes up the body in front of her, she jerked at the sight of the clam ones staring down at her. Blinking down at the gun still in her hand, her lids widened and s
"Mate!" He growled, grabbing her by the waist as he leaned in to sniff her neck. Her mouth hung open in shock and her eyes bulged as he swiftly dodged a spear sent their way, carrying her along with him, his nose still on her neck. Who was this stranger? And how could he cling onto her this way
