“Alpha!”

He snapped his head back to see his Beta waving a red piece of cloth at him behind thick fumes of smoke.

Fuck!

His eyes darted around in time to catch a snipper stationed at the far end of a building.

Double fuck!

He hissed, bending forward as he clutched his groin. This human the moon goddess had cursed him with might actually be the end of him.

Before he could say Jack, she already had the cold muzzle of her gun pinned to the side of his head.

[Their reinforcements have arrived and we are outnumbered. We need to get out of here quick!] His Beta’s voice boomed in his head through the mind link but he kept his eyes trained on the human in front of him.

“This is for invading my space.” She snarled before hitting his head with the butt of the gun, earning a slight groan from him.

“I wouldn't do that if I were you.” He countered as he straightened, forcing her to look up at him.

Barking out a wry laugh, she glared hard at him. “I would be begging on my knees if I were you.”

He let out a dry chuckle before calmly looking into her eyes.

“Is that what you want, human?”

She held her gun tighter at the change in his voice, her fingers suddenly trembling at the trigger.

“Do you desperately want to see me begging on my knees?” He asked, walking closer to the muzzle of her gun.

Her throat bobbed and her neck burned red without her permission.

Why did she suddenly have a feeling that they were talking about two different things all together?

Extending his hand towards her, he tilted his head to the side. “Come with me and you'll be the only person I kneel to.”

“Wh…what?” She spluttered at the rate her heart beat quickened.

Her palms suddenly grew sweaty.

What was all the nonsense she was feeling?

[Alpha! Duck!]

At that, he dived into her, rolling them to the side and under the protection of a rock as rain of bullets tore through the ground he was standing on seconds ago.

“What are…”

“Shhh!” He hissed, cupping her lips.

When he felt the familiar coldness of a muzzle pressed against his stomach, a wry smile tugged at his lips as his hand slid off her face.

“What? Even after saving your life, you aren't grateful?”

“You should be grateful you got a few extra minutes to breathe.” She hissed in return, her heart pounding hard against her ribcage from being extra close to him even as the bullets continued to rain down around them.

“You still want to be loyal to the people who won't waste a breath in finishing you off to get me?” He had a brow raised as he asked.

She let her lip pull up in a semblance of a smirk, “as long as they get you.”

A muscle feathered in his jaw as his green eyes turned cold.

Her eyes turned equally cold as they glared at themselves.

Without wasting a single breath, he grabbed her chin.

She pushed the muzzle deeper into his taut belly without hesitation, ignoring whatever tingles she felt and daring him to do anything out of the ordinary.

“You belong to me!” He pronounced, his eyes looking into hers one at a time.

She spat into his face, making him flinch from the impact before smiling.

“I'd rather get my throat slit than belong to the enemy of my people.” She fired back at him, the hand holding the gun shaky from tension.

“Is that so?” He let off a smirk as he leaned in dangerously closer to her lips.

“You are already cornered by my comrades.” She commented with a tinge of pride.

“Or not?” He tilted his head to the side, his smirk turning into a crazed smile on seeing the look of pride slowly die off her face.

“What do you m…”

He leaned in at that moment and sealed her lips shut with a kiss, his hand still holding her jaw as his lips moved against hers.

Ignoring the metallic tang of blood from him, she let out a moan, her body tightening even as she melted against him.

This shouldn't be happening!

She could feel her brain mushing up.

The sounds of bullets continued raining into the ground and already dead bodies blurred out of her view, leaving a loud ringing in her ears.

This shouldn't be happening!

Her closing eyes snapped open and she did the only thing her brain could think of at that moment.

She pulled the trigger right into his belly.

Her eyes snapped open and almost immediately she let out a yelp. She expected to see the white ceiling she had been staring at hours ago, but instead, it was his beautiful face inches away from hers. Shooting out her hands, she intended to push him away but he caught her weak hands mid-air, a smirk gracing his lips. “I love your little show, mate.” “Fuck off!” She hissed, a blush tinting her cheeks. “Nope, you need to get some liquid down your throat and something solid into your belly.” “No.” She spat out, glaring at him. “No?” “Stop keeping me against my will and let me go!” She started fighting against his firm grip on her hand.“Stop it. Stop it, babe!” He fought back, carefully pinning her hands above her head. She blinked, her cheeks reddening into a deeper shade of crimson, her lashes rapidly fluttering as she felt her panties begin to get soaked all over again.Babe? Surely that was a mistake. Just then, she felt a pressure on her lower abdomen and blinked back into

  • The Rejected Alpha and his Human Mate   Fuck this monster

On hearing the woman's words, she squeezed her eyes tighter and grabbed the bedsheet like her life depended on it.“You…Mate?” The terrorist called, his voice hardening. Imagining his mismatched glowing eyes narrowing at her, her heart quivered as she struggled not to give herself out. “How dare you lie to me!?” He thundered and she almost gave out a yelp, the air in the room pressing against her lungs. “I would never tell such a lie, I swear it, Alpha.” The woman's sure voice minutes ago began to tremble, sounding almost deprived of air. She wanted to look, she wanted to confirm if he was actually choking her to death but she couldn't risk it, not yet. She needed a medical personnel close to her so she could sneak some weapons into her clothes. “Then prove it.” His voice dropped and at the same time, she heard something hard hit the ground. If her eyes weren't closed, it would have popped off her sockets. Her military senses were all high on end and she could feel a set of in

  • The Rejected Alpha and his Human Mate   Mr. Guiltily anxious

Morphing back into his human form, he snapped his fingers and a maid morphed out of thin air with a clean cloth ready for him. With a bow of her head, she dissolved back into the shadows. He raised his hand to knock but paused on remembering the order he gave. Suddenly, an intense bitterness crept up his chest. How could he be so heartless and demeaning towards his mate. Pushing the door open with a stuffiness he couldn't describe, he burst into the room but stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes wide and his heart beating really fast as he took in the scene before him.Was this how it felt to be anxious? Heartbroken? She laid painfully still, barely breathing with her hands cuffed to her back. “Mate?” He called out but his voice came out shaky and breathy, startling the shit out of him. He blinked but didn't waste time pondering on why he suddenly sounded so weak as he strode towards her. Dropping to his knees, he touched the cuffs and unlocked it, breathing a sigh of relief a

He glared down at his council members from his throne as they babbled on before looking away, finding her in the midst of the small crowd. He made eye contact with Iris, a brow raised in question as he studied her hard face not missing the low hiss from her clenched teeth even as she gave a single nod. His mate was fine and carefully locked up in her room. Serves her right for daring to disrespect him in front of the entirety of his pack members but his heart couldn't keep still, thundering against his ribcage. “Alpha Damon.” One of his council members stressed his name, snapping his attention back to them. “You have to see reasons with us!” The man hissed at him with blazing eyes full of disgust. “Reasons?” He asked cooly, fully relaxing against his throne. What gave them the right to think they could challenge him in his pack? Snickering, he began slowly tapping his index finger against his lap. “What reasons?” “You are Alpha Damon Archer, the most feared man in the world of

A force slammed her back into her seat, her veins thrumming with rushing blood as heat began to rise up her neck.“What the hell do you think you are DOING!?” The sexy guy hissed at her, his eyes reddish and wild. “I…” She opened her mouth to talk but bit back a scream as the body of the man before her suddenly flew backwards in the air and slammed into a crooked tree. She watched him hit the floor with a low groan before lying painfully still. She didn't want to think he was dead. She didn't need to care if he was alive either, these men are the same people who murdered her people but the guilt was eating deep into her. Swallowing, her eyes slowly moved around and her bladder almost gave way as the wolves she saw a few minutes ago were no more, humans now in their stead. With heart thundering in her ears, she felt all her blood climb up into her head the moment she caught his now glowing mismatched eyes. “Sweet Lord!” She cried out shakily and hoarsely. What in the name of vo

“Stop this madness I beg of you!” Her throat was getting hoarse and her voice rougher as she kept screaming her way down the forest. “You can't do this to me! You simply can't!” Her wide eyes were raw red as she glared at his side profile. Sighing, he turned back to face her and for a moment, she felt they would bump into the bark of a gigantic tree and die off. “The track! Road! Focus on the road!” Her eyes grew wider. Chuckling, he gave her a wink and turned back to face the road. “Do you care about me now?” Barking out a laughter of disbelief at her situation, she hissed a curse at him beneath her breath before easing into the chair, with her hands now cuffed right in front of her. Where the fuck was he taking her? “We are going to my pack.” He said and a new wave of terror hit her. “Were you listening to my…my thoughts?” She whispered with shaky breaths. “Your thoughts? Pffft.” He turned to face her again, his now green eyes glinting with mischief. “Were you thinking abo
