"Nothing?" I asked again.

"Nothing." She repeated. "I just suddenly woke up in the middle of nowhere and I could not speak. In fact, during the first few hours after I regained my consciousness, I did not even remember why I had left or what my mission was. It was only after I walked back to my hut where the remnants of my protection spell were still lingering that my memory came back to me. But even so, I still couldn't speak. I couldn't communicate. That much I figured out within minutes." She stated looking at me.

I was on edge, everything she said seemed to be adding unto this already foreboding feeling I had.

"So what happened?" Damon asked her.

He stood there, his face as neutral as always but I could see his jaw was tense. He was tense. I could feel it.
