KELLY THOMPSON'S POV

A few hours later...

"Your Majesty! There's an attack going on outside the palace. It's mercenaries apparently commissioned by our arch rivals of the North pack," shouts a guard in a total panic as he bursts into the council venue.

Jason is the first to stand up and to rush outside. The council members and I immediately follow him.

The day, out of a sudden, plunges into a cacophony of snarls and the metallic scent of spilled lifeblood. Shadows danced under the baleful glow of the moon as howls tore through the veil of darkness, each one a jagged edge ripping at the fabric of calm that once draped our land. My nostrils flared, the pungent aroma of war-a mélange of fear, fury, and open wounds-filled the air, setting my senses alight with a primal urgency.

"Forward!" I roared, throwing myself into the fray. My claws found purchase in the flesh of an enemy, one of the rogues under Alpha Biansky's command, his intent clear in the vicious glint of his eyes. The clash of

  • The Rejected Curvy Luna Queen    The national hero

KELLY THOMPSON'S POVThe scent of pine and fresh rainfall greeted us as we approached the gates, a stark contrast to the lingering acrid tang of battle. The royal palace rose before us, its stone walls an emblem of enduring strength. I strode forward, my son Eden at my side, our steps in sync with the soft thrumming of warriors' hearts still echoing victory."Welcome home, Luna Queen," a chorus of voices hailed as the ironclad gates creaked open.Jason stood there, his formidable frame silhouetted against the torchlight that flickered along the palace's corridors. His blue eyes found mine, and in them, I read a saga of worry, pride, and love-a trilogy that now culminated in relief. Eden rushed ahead, his youthful exuberance momentarily casting off the mantle of heir as he embraced his father."Kelly," Jason said, his voice a deep timbre that resonated within the stone confines of the palace as he drew me into his arms."Jason," I whispered, allowing myself this fragment of solace in h

  • The Rejected Curvy Luna Queen    The taste of victory

KELLY THOMPSON'S POV The scent of blood lingered on the wind, a sharp reminder of the price we had paid. I stood amidst the rubble, the charred earth beneath my feet a testament to the ferocity of the battle that had raged just hours before. My pack, my family, and my allies were gathered around me, our collective exhaustion palpable in the stillness that followed the storm of combat.I could see it in their eyes-each one darkened with the weight of loss and weariness. Paul Biansky's hands were smeared with soot, his gaze distant as he stared at the broken form of what once was a proud pine standing guard over our land. Elara Windrider's silver hair was singed at the ends, her face smeared with ash as she leaned heavily against a fallen log, her usually vibrant aura dimmed by sorrow. As Luna Queen, it was my duty to be their anchor, but even I found my strength waning in the face of such desolation. The ground crunched under my boots as I paced through the remnants of what had been a

KELLY THOMPSON'S POV The earth quaked beneath our entwined fury, a silent witness to the cataclysm we wrought. Alpha Biansky's breath came in ragged torrents, his every snarl syncing with the primal drumbeat of battle. I could feel the pulse of the North pack's territory beneath my feet, an ancient rhythm that had long preceded us and would outlast the outcome of our clash."Give in, Kelly," he growled, voice laced with a wrath born of countless moons. "Your compassion will be your downfall."I parried his swipe, claws glancing off my forearm with a hiss that spoke of close calls and closer combat. My heart galloped within its cage, yet outwardly, my stance remained as steadfast as the oaks that encircled our battlefield. His strikes were relentless, but each movement I met with the grace of a queen who had danced with danger since her first shift under the full moon's gaze."Your vengeance blinds you, Biansky," I countered, ducking under a particularly vicious lunge. It was true-his

KELLY THOMPSON'S POV The moon hung low, a silent witness to the tension that crackled like static in the chilled air of the North pack territory. Alpha Biansky and I stood yards apart, our packs flanking us like living walls bristling with fur and fangs. The scent of pine and impending violence mingled, setting the stage for the final confrontation."Alpha Biansky," I began, my voice cutting through the night's stillness, "we stand here as leaders, but we are also bound by a history soaked in blood and loss." My eyes never left his, searching for any sign of the wolf I once knew, before grief had twisted him into this relentless specter of vengeance.I stepped forward, the gravel beneath my boots whispering of finality. "Your quest for revenge against my South pack-it's poisoned you, consumed you until nothing else remained." I could feel the weight of every life lost in this senseless feud, a burden I carried on my shoulders as their Luna Queen."Look at us, Biansky. Look at what it

I could feel every heartbeat of my pack, a rhythm pulsing in unison with my own. Huddled within the shadows, we were a tight coil of anticipation, waiting for the moment to strike."Eden," I whispered, my voice barely audible above the rustling leaves. "Now."My son, young yet old beyond his years, stepped forward, his slender fingers closing around the scepter of convergence-its intricate carvings glowing faintly under the veil of night. Eden's eyes, two orbs of liquid sapphire, locked onto mine, and I saw the flicker of determination that mirrored my own resolve. He nodded once, a silent vow passing between us.Closing his eyes, he raised the scepter skyward. The air shifted, an electric charge dancing upon the breeze as the scepter hummed with ancient power. A soft luminance spread like dawn's first light, and then, Eden unleashed the magic we so desperate

  • The Rejected Curvy Luna Queen    Marching towards the foe

KELLY THOMPSON'S POV As the moon clawed its way through the iron tapestry of clouds, casting an eerie glow upon our gathered warriors, I felt Jason's hand-a bastion of strength-rest upon my shoulder. "For our people, for our son, for all that we hold dear," he whispered, his voice a low rumble that vibrated through my bones. "May the spirits of the ancient Luna and Alpha guide you.""Thank you, my love," I replied, tilting my head to meet his gaze, the piercing blue of his eyes reflecting my resolve. With the blessing of my husband, Alpha King Jason, I turned to face the sea of determined faces before me. Among them stood Paul Biansky, whose loyalty had been tested by blood; Gamma Thorne, whose wisdom was as unyielding as the mountains; my son Eden, young yet formidable with the scepter of convergence in his grasp; and Elara Windrider, her understanding of the enemy as deep as the roots of the earth."Warriors of the South pack," I began, my voice rising to carry over the whispering

Swords with edges honed to deadly precision, crossbows accompanied by quivers of silver-tipped bolts, and daggers wrought from the sacred steel only our kind could summon. Each piece was a promise-a solemn vow to protect or perish."Place the shields by the eastern wall," I commanded, my gaze sweeping over our arsenal with a critical eye. "They'll need to be within easy reach when the onslaught begins."Elara, with her usual serene disposition, methodically checked the enchantments laced within the very fabric of our stronghold, ensuring that no malevolent force could penetrate our sanctum uninvited. The walls vibrated with a silent hum, a testament to her skillful magic, as she whispered ancient incantations that bolstered our defenses."Remember," I said, my voice slicing through the din of preparation, "speed and stealth are ou

I stood at the head of the ancient oak table, its surface etched with the scars of countless strategy sessions. My allies encircled me, their faces etched with lines of concern and determination. With my back ramrod straight and chin lifted in defiance of the creeping dread, I met each of their gazes squarely."Alpha Biansky's pack moves under the cloak of treachery, bolstered by The Black Faes' dark whispers," I began, my voice resonating through the silence. "They are not mere shadows skulking in the night; they are an eclipse poised to smother our light."My fingers brushed over the intricate map spread before us, tracing the borders of our territory-a land we had defended with blood and bone. "We must bind together as the moon waxes with unity, or we'll crumble like leaves underfoot when it wanes into division."Paul Biansky's jaw

I stood before the ancient mirror, my reflection a pale ghost amidst the encroaching darkness. The weight of prophecy pressed upon me, a relentless force that sought to crush the very marrow from my bones."Can I truly be the Luna Queen this world needs?" The question, a fragile thing, hung in the air like morning mist.
