"Is this you?" I mumbled to myself, feeling my whole body shiver at just her stare. Her eyes were piercing into mine and I couldn't help walking closer to get a clearer view of this angel who had struck my heart with sudden love at first sight.
"Elena," I muttered her name under my breath, and she couldn't move or make any movement. All she did was stare at me. I could see pure emotions in those eyes. I could see it shimmering as she would cry.
I walked closer, filling the gap between us, yet she wouldn't move.
I got to where she sat, and she gasped.
"What is your name?" She asked and my heart twitched at that tiny voice. It was making my heartthrob. Kane, my wolf, was leaping and squealing in joy. He felt this was his mate, but I couldn't tell myself.
I still don't want to believe Dad lied to me about not having a mate, and even if she is my mate, it would be almost impossible to work.
"My name is Jason. What are you do
I got out of the garden and headed to the class. Her fur was sending warmth to my body. It makes me feel so good and does well in bringing those memories into my head. I can remember how she looks and those smiles. It pains me that she can't be a student here. It pains me that everyone hates and rejects her. It pains me that she isn't free and can't do what she wants like a slave. It hurts my heart so badly that my mate is bound to be my enemy and we can't be together. All this made me weak, and I couldn't move any more. My legs were weak. I paused my pace and rested my head on the tree over there. The pain in her eyes is so intense, she must be passing through a lot, and it breaks my heart that there is just nothing I can do about it. Telling my father about her would only result in her death. He would do everything possible to kill her, and it wouldn't be so hard when all her family hates her. They would help in making her death work out. The
I was waiting for the first hit. My head was pounding so hard, my heart was beating so fast and loud. I never thought of how it would feel to be stoned, but I knew I wouldn't be able to survive it. I had thought they would stop when I mentioned my father, but instead they laughed it off. They all knew he disowned me. That simply means everyone knows it. It must have been announced. I lost hope of escaping this. I had been thinking of how to get home and face the punishment that awaited me only to face this. I never thought of it. Squatting right there on the ground, I buried my face into my body. I was quivering. Hot tears were rolling continuously down my cheeks. My heart was racing. The rock was going to injure me so badly and the men looked so serious. They hated me deeply. I was in that position waiting for the strike. I couldn't stop crying, but then, I didn't feel anything and it was almost a minute. I was scared, scared that they
Dad stared at me from head to toe, then from toe to head. He arched his brow, gritted his teeth, and made a growl. He seemed dumbed to talk. "Elena, how could you disobey the Alpha? "Do you have any idea how much damage you must have done to the alpha?" Elf snorted, and I threw a glare at her. "Dad, I'm sorry I went out. Please forgive me." I pleaded even when I knew it was useless, like how would my father forgive me? He would rather torture me more than forgive me, especially when it was an act of going against his order! "Where did you go to?" He asked, with his voice deep and full of disgust and contempt. My presence was eating him deeply. "I had a walk around, to avoid anyone seeing me, I wore a hoody," I explained, and he scoffed. "She is lying, darling. I'm good at knowing when one is lying. She is a bloody liar. It seems she went to see her clan!" Elf blurted something out, and I turned at her with a sneer, wondering if she was
I turned sharply at my dad, who had a queer expression. Everyone had a questioned look on their faces. This was the last thing anyone expected. I couldn't just believe it was true, like that was really the voice of my father? I fluttered my eyes waiting for what he had to say, because I'm sure he doesn't see me as his daughter anymore. "Alpha, what did you say?" Hutton, the beta, was the first to throw the question, as he was stunned so well. He had expected the alpha to volunteer to hit me himself. He had thought he would whip me himself but was shocked to hear him save me instead. "Not only had she left the house without anyone knowing, thereby breaking his order, but she had also called the Luna a demon... Alpha Daren, what is going on? " He pressed on, feeling angry and exasperated. I could only stare without saying a word. Elf made a short laugh and walked close to Dad. There was a pure rage in her eyes. "What do you mean by calli
Elena's POV The fire burning in my body finally died down, and I fell heavily on the ground with such force that it made me hit my head on the floor heavily. I shrieked and held my head, tears falling off freely. The pain was so intense, like a huge blow. It was strange and I don't know what happened. All I could tell was that I had just fought with someone in spirit form... "I'm sorry..." I heard a female voice in me before it faded away as if it never existed. "Who are you and what did you do to me?" I asked with a deep groan but got no reply. "What happened to me?" I questioned that voice with a louder voice, but the silence lingered. "Lena, who was that?" I asked, and she sighed. "I don't know what you are talking about, I just don't feel comfortable before now. Your body was too hot for me to stay and powers were oozing out. What kind of hybrid are you?" She asked, and I took a deep sigh, raising myself from
"You must be joking, sister, that can't happen, we both know that!" Dorian frowned, as the car drove into the Royal Packhouse, and I bit my lower lip, feeling my heart grow heavy in anger. Dorian, I don't need you to believe me or not; my instinct doesn't lie. I went into the garden where Jason should be, that same place he had always stayed alone. You can't believe I got there and he was sitting on the ground like there was someone he was talking to. I got closer and there was no one there, but I saw the white fur in his hand, "Elena noticed me coming and ran away!" I pressed on and Dorian opened the car, stepping out while I did the same. "She can't leave the house without anyone finding out. Even if she succeeds, she won't be stupid enough to come to the school when she knows we will find out," he shrugged, heading in. I growled and clenched my fist tightly. I could recall the smiles that appeared on Jason's face while playing with t
The Beta grabbed her hair tightly and peered into her eyes. "You little demon, you've got no right to question her!" He growled and slammed her down to the floor, hardly making her shrill. In pain, "Listen to my order!" My father began, and everyone turned to him. "Since she defiled my command, she would be severely punished!Get chains to lock her in that room, keep the doors shut all day except when she is given food once daily and of small size just to keep her alive!! ... add a little quantity of wolfsbane to the chain to torture her and keep her weak! " My Dad ordered it, and I couldn't help the joy that filled my heart. I quickly ran to him and hugged him tightly. "Dad, you are the best!" I squealed. "But you saved me before?" "Why are you being this cruel suddenly again?" We heard Elena muffled, and I sneered at her. "Your magic isn't working anymore. You are a demon and I can't wait for your clan to arrive
Elena's POV My eyes fluttered open and finally, I woke up. A loud hiss escaped my lips as I found out I was alive and had also woken up, meaning it was another day, another new day to face the pains which had been my companion since I was born. Last night was terrible and heartbreaking. The guards got the chains over my wrists and locked them to a hook on the wall from both sides, leaving me in a restrained position. I could only go up to my bed and down to the floor. I thought Dad was joking and would retract his words, but I was mistaken; he still hates me as deeply and rawly as he always has; it was a miracle he saved me the other day; I had been stupid to think Dad would ever like or feel pity for me. At first, I was awake, yet I found no strength to move from my contorted sleeping position. The pain from last night hadn't left my body. The wolfsbane had been my shadow. They kept using it on me, so that at some point I would think Lena was dead.
