Chapter 18

Simon didn't know how to react. Alan threw such a question at him. He couldn't find an answer to it.

Were the bruises that obvious? They were supposed to have healed by now. His body was not healing as it should.

Was Alan concerned about his appearance, or just wanted to get some information from him, he couldn't tell.

Alan was still glaring at him. There was no way of escape for him. He would have to give an answer to Alan's question, if not there would be no other conversation. He would be stuck in Alan's chambers, too.

That's how Alan was.

Simon cleared his throat. He should tell him what happened. It was becoming suffocating in the chamber.

"I was attacked," Simon voiced.

Alan raised his brow in surprise.

"Attacked? You must have caused some trouble," Alan scoffed. He moved a bit from where he stood, creating a space between him and Simon.

Simon sighed in relief. He wouldn't have to look at Alan from up close.
