Abel cursed under his breath and stepped in front of me a little, like he already knew what was coming.

“Alpha Victor,” he said in a low voice, “you need to leave. I’ll come up with an excuse, buy you time.”

I shook my head slowly. “No.”

Without me, you are nothing. Just a lowly omega. Only fit to be a slave. My slave!”His words punched the air from my lungs. They tore through whatever pieces of my heart I had left. The whole place smelled like spilled wine, regret, and something rotten. Probably me. I hadn’t showered. I hadn’t eaten. I just lay there, curled up in Victor’s oversized T-shirt like it meant something. Like it didn’t smell like betrayal. My throat was still sore fr

Selene's POV After Lisa had left, I stared at the gown for a long time before finally picking it up. The style was indeed perfect. The colour, the fit, even the small details matched my taste exactly.I was really surprised Victor still remembered what I liked, but I tried to tell myself that it didn’t matter. That I didn’t care.
