LOGINChapter 4
in the dark woods, late at night Iris wondered the hills of willow woods, no direction, no food, no shelter just at the mercies of herself. Seeking for sign of help Iris sloched her bag tightly to her body, containing her dairy and ink pen. She walked sluggishly using her third eye to find her way. She walked for hours, "untill she caught a stream at the far end ." She hurriedly walked to take sip. She had walked days trying to survive She slumed in wariness and passed out . What felt like enternity, she woke up to a dazzling blue light that glanced her direction, she walked slowly ," scared of what layed underneath the shadows." Her steps were firm and steady. she followed the blue light inside the cave she was mesmerized to find a blue Scepter, and a mysterious figure standing in the dark which frightened her. The voice was steady and commanded authority. Don’t be scared. I already knew you before you came,” she said, handing me the scepter. My eyes stayed locked on her. She knew me? How? The question echoed in my mind with no answer. Her grey hair marked her as an elder, and yet she received me warmly, without asking a single question. Her expression gave me the clue she had heard my thoughts. I was too weak to stand, too weak to even understand what was happening around me. All I wanted was good, deep sleep and enough time to pull myself together. I was about to turn the scepter when a broad-shouldered man walked in. His eyes locked onto me instantly, and he hurriedly snatched the scepter from my hands. “It isn’t time for your manifestation.” He stepped closer. “I’m Lillard guardian of the cave, keeper, and seer. We knew you, Iris. Your mother was one of us. She married your father, Kael my brother.” I stood there confuse , who were this people?. He paused, studying my pale face. “She knew this moment would come. What happened to you? You look so lost.” His words were heavy, almost impossible to process, but somehow they eased something inside me. A strange relief settled in my chest. My life had been good...until the night my mate and my best friend betrayed me. No sympathy, No hesitation,Just pure, sharp betrayal. "I've been called cursed, unfit to rule and feeble ." The night I was ostracized, no one came to my aid everyone turned their backs on my even my step brother Lucian did worst. "My pack turned their backs on me , they betrayed me for what was false, they banished me left me to die in the woods; No food no water, just me at the mercies of my self." But I promise to take what's rightfully mine I can't be ostracized like this ......." my life shouldn't end here the way they want it." Eira assured me all will be fine, she told me all things do happen for a reason. After all, I slumed in weariness and past out. I woke up and looked around, I was in a safe chember ,. "Eira sat beside me her eyes filled with worry." " You've gone through alot already.... My child she murmured". " I pushed myself up sluggish and sore ", that was when Lillard stepped in " " fellow me, his words were firm I obeyed stepping outside the carve, the air seemed different cleaner and sharper.the world around me did not match anything I remembered. strange how everyone looked, the people were striking their hair it flowed long their features caved by the Gods themselves. The man were broad shoulders and incredibly handsome. The women were tall and elegant all turned to me the moment i stepped out ; their faces trailed my movement curious, confused maybe even wary. I knew I was different I walked behind Lillard ignoring the stares. We walked further into a tall building , inside long tables were decorated and beautiful woman spread coverings around . I stood there......... I was different, a little different from them , they all stared at me like I was another being from space. I had red hair that glowed like fire among their dark silky strains. And my bright emerald eyes caught the light in ways that made me stand out. I had a small, nice curve with a petite body nothing like their form. We walked and stopped at a wooden door , he told me to enter, inside were hot pool bath and women trowing roses into it. "Prepare to meet the lord," those were the word he said to me before he Left. " The Lord? Those words echoed in my mind." The maids looked at me softly , and closer to help me undress. "Your hair, it's gorgeous it sparkles like red fire" , one of them murmured, touching it delicately. she poured warm spring water poured down my body , which made me so relaxed and calm. "What pack are you from?", "they asked curiously , I didn't know if I should answer or remain silence. " Bloodmoon"I said forcing the words out of my mouth, unsure. Your skin it's smooth like silk " ivory" another giggled. "Tell me about your pack", I asked ....."tell me about Eira" her presence never left my thought , I was curious even if only a little. the girls exchange glances before one finally spoke. Eira is our elder, she was ostracized from her pack the" silvercrest" thirty years ago. she was framed and manipulated for a crime she never committed. "She also went through my fate, I said within me ." "She was blessed by the Goddess, with a third eye .....she has the gift of sight. she can for see what will happen before it does." " What ever she tells you, " believe her. "who is the Alpha of your pack"?The maids exchange nervous glances and for a moment I thought there wouldn't answer. One of the maid leaned in her voice bearly audible He is our beta, lord Roshan. Feared and respected by all, the worrriors trust him with their lives and even the elder seek his judgement. " And the woman....." The second maid added with a mischievous smile, the woman adored him even more . "Adore" iris asked not sounding too curious . Oh yes! The maid wispered dramatically , his killingly handsome and devilishly fine...... The kind of man you shouldn't stare at for too long , or your heart might forget how to beat. They both giggled softly, "his aura alone can make you stand straighter". The other continued lifting iris hair to wash . When he walks even the air shift, it's like the walls know he is someone who is destined for greatness . " And yet" he's kind , gentle and remembers every face in the clan, he listens when others ignore.that's why the people love him. "He must be someone important", Iris added . "Important " , my lady lord Roshan is the heart of Nightshade pack without him this clan will fall apart. They poured another stream of water over my back the conversation lingered in the air. "And", the second maid said .. leaning closer with a sneaky grin , if he looks at you ....even once,.... you will understand what we mean. The bath was long and fun , the girls were interesting . "Beta Roshan " the name lingered in my mind , I felt warmeth creep into me ... But I didn't know why. he must be someone of high value for his pack to adore him much. I swallowed hard, I felt unsure....if the heat I felt was from the bath water, or something else entirely .Chapter 45 I thought it was stress, that was the easiest answer. The safest one. too many things had changed in a short time, too many eyes watching me now. Every move I made carried weight and every word mattered. Anyone would feel it. So I ignored the signs..... At first. I sat in front of the mirror while the maids worked on my hair, their hands careful, their voices low. They spoke about preparations, about the pack, about how everything had settled. But I could still hear their little gossip, the went round the pack........ I was barren , unable to bear a child for the Alpha. I listened without really listening. My eyes stayed on my reflection, “You look tired,” one of them said. “I’m fine.” “You should rest more,” another added. “The council has been demanding.” I gave a small nod just to end it. They continued working, adjusting, fixing, stepping back to admire their work. None of it mattered. Something else sat at the back of my mind. “You can leave,” I said.
Chapter 44 The next morning, I woke up with a strange feeling. It sat quietly in my chest, unfamiliar but not unwelcome. It wasn’t loud or overwhelming. It was softer than that, something I couldn’t fully name. For a moment, I stayed still on the bed, staring at the ceiling, trying to understand it. Happiness. The word came slowly. And even then, I wasn’t sure if it fit. It had been a long time since I had felt anything close to it. Long enough that I didn’t trust it immediately. But it was there, resting somewhere beneath everything else, untouched by doubt or fear. I closed my eyes briefly, letting it settle. Then I got up. The air outside carried the coolness of early morning. The sky was just beginning to shift, the first light stretching across the edges of the horizon. The pack house was Alive at this hour, most people still inside, not yet pulled into the rhythm of the day. I preferred it like this. Less noise. Less watching eyes. I made my way to the training gro
Chapter 43 The pack did not settle after the attack. If anything, it made tension grew in a way that made the pack unsettled. Guards doubled at the borders. Movements became measured. No one wandered without purpose anymore. I stayed inside after that. Not because I was told to. Because I understood what had happened. They had come for me. That thought didn’t leave, no matter how much I tried to push it aside. By the next morning, word had already spread that Roshan was leaving. An alliance meeting. It made sense. What had happened wasn’t small. Seblethorn didn’t move that close without reason, and if they were testing us , then other packs needed to know. Still, knowing that didn’t make it sit any easier. I didn’t see him before he left. I heard it instead through passing voices in the corridor, through the way guards moved with sharper attention, through the silence that followed after. He was gone. And the space he left behind felt… noticeable. I didn’t like that.
Chapter 42 I stepped out into the corridor and kept walking, hoping distance would quiet whatever had settled inside me. But it didn't, the silence in the hallway only made it worse. Just then , footsteps came from behind me , I know who it was before she spoke. "Iris "....... I stopped For a moment, I considered ignoring her and continuing forward, but something in her tone held me in place. I turned towards her slowly. Selene stood a few steps away, composed as always, her posture straight, her gaze fixed on me in a way that made it clear she had not come to pass by. There was no greeting. No pretense. Her eyes moved over me once, like she was confirming something she already believed. “I didn’t expect to see you standing so comfortably in this pack,” she said. Her voice was even, but it carried something sharper beneath it. I felt it settle under my skin. “I’m not here for comfort,” I answered. She took a step closer, slow enough to show control, close e
Chapter 41 Roshan The message came before sunrise A boarder breach , not full attack but enough to call attention from every major house tied to seblethorn pack I read it once, then folded it. We've had more rivals now that we can count. There was no need to read it twice. I left my room without calling for anyone. The pack house was already waking up in pieces guards moving faster, voices lower than usual. Something was wrong. Everyone could feel it. By the time I reached the council hall, most of them were already inside. The long table was filled. Old leaders. War advisers. Clan representatives. And Kealor. He sat near the end, quiet, watching everything. Selene was already there too. Close to the center seat. Like she belonged there. She always knew how to place herself where attention gathered. The last person I noticed was Iris. She stood near the side of the hall, not seated. Not invited fully. But not pushed out either. That alone told me eno
Chapter 40Iris Morning came too quickly, I didn't sleep. How could IThe night stayed with me in fragments I couldn’t shake the hidden garden, the water, the silence between us that felt heavier than words.Roshan’s voice still lingered in my head. You provoke.I sat at the edge of the bed for a long time before I finally stood. The pack house was already awake, distant movement echoing through the halls. Life continued as if nothing had happened. But something had.I washed my face slowly, staring at my reflection longer than I needed to. My expression looked the same, but I didn’t feel the same.I left my room after a while. The corridor felt colder than usual.Or maybe I just noticed it more.I kept my steps steady as I moved toward the main hall. I told myself I would act normal today. Nothing had changed. Nothing should have changed. But my mind kept drifting back.To his eyes.To the way he didn’t step away immediately. To the control it took for him to keep distance. That par
Chapter 36 Sleep would not come. The palace had long fallen into silence. Torches burned low along the outer walls, their flames shrinking into thin threads of orange light. Even the night guards moved quietly through the courtyards below, their footsteps fading into the distance. Yet my mind re
Chapter 26 The training ground had always felt like mine. Not because I owned it. But because it was where I rebuilt myself. Steel in hand. Dust in my lungs. Sweat on my skin. Here, I was not the girl who had been sent away. I was a warrior in progress. I was discipline. Roshan stood across fr

Chapter 14The door clicked shut leaving the two of us in the room, the silence hit me like a physical weight. This ..was a mistake no one was suppose to see.I screamed trying to clear my head, Elara she might spill it out .. I don't trust her enough."You have to calm down, " Lucian said running
