I stood still for a moment, just looking at the building as I stood in the dark, alone, childhood memories resurfaced. The sound of Paula’s laughter ringing in my ears as I ran about. Her scoldings, the arguments that came as I grew older, and everything that went on between both of us. A dull ache sat in my chest as I stared, unmoving.
