Chills ran down my spine at the sound of that deadly roar. I was alone in the dead of the night in a large forest, my only guidance was the moon. I was once again reminded of the beast in the forest and my heart thumped wildly.But I was determined to get as far away from here as possible, and that dampened any fear that I had. So, I ran. My breath came in harsh, loud pants as I pushed myself.The roar came again and my pace faltered because the fear had returned but in the next moment, I picked up my pace, running faster than I ever had in my whole life. And when I thought things couldn't get worse, the roar came again, closer this time.The hairs on my skin stood as my senses picked up something new. Something... or someone was watching me and following. Like a predator hunting its prey.
