LOGINCHAPTER 4 - THE LYCAN EMERGES
Sharp pain slices through my chest, making me gasp. But without a wolf, I couldn’t experience the full pain of breaking a bond. Caspian falls to his knees, clawing at his chest, blood seeps through his chest down his hands. I take a step towards him then stop. I stand there watching him gasp in pain. The one who had been my safe haven since I was six and had lost my father to exile. His friends go down trying to stop him from clawing at his chest. I clench my hands into fist to keep myself from pushing Melody away from him. She shoots an accusing look at me. What? Okay it’s bad now that I said it first. The pack members start closing in around us, looks of accusations thrown at me and I try not to shrink into myself. Caspian looks up at me, his eyes dark with raw pain. Fur begins sprouting out of his skin and I take a step back. When he begins getting back to his feet, I turn and run back to the packhouse. I push open the packhouse door, trying not to fall flat on my face. The whole world for some reason, kept spinning around me. My head is pounding, painfully. With heat spreading through me, my whole body felt like it was on fire. The cool air of the night coming through the windows does nothing to quench it. I stumble through the sitting room to the kitchen, with the intention of getting some ice. My hand closes around the handle of the fridge and when I pull it open, the whole door comes off with it. I stared at it open-mouthed, but I didn’t have time to dwell on it because intense pain began to flood through my body. “Goddess please!” I cry out. I reach for the Ice filled bowl, but just as my hand touches the rim, my legs give out. I go down, the bowl of Ice coming down with me. Sounds of broken glass fills the place but no one comes because everyone is at the field. The heat and pain makes it hard to breathe and I find myself gasping for breath. My hand reaches out… To the goddess? To the mate I rejected? I don’t know. Snap! “Goddess!” I shout when my arm bends at an unnatural angle. Then my knee shifted, intense pain shooting through me. It finally dawned on me. I’m finally having my shift. I tried to stand, to get to my room. But the pain was too intense, my back ached on the floor. Silver fur shot out of my hands. I could feel my body expanding. Tears rolled down my eyes from both pain and excitement. When the pain finally stopped, I was covered in silver fur. I looked around, everything was brighter than usual. The tiny dead spider on the left side of the wall close to the ceiling was clearly visible now. My ears perked up, the noise from the Bonding moon filtering into my ears. Are my senses supposed to be this heightened? Slowly I pushed myself up but inside of standing on all fours, I found myself standing tall on two hunched feet. My head grazes the ceiling to the point where I have to bend over to be more comfortable. I reach up to touch my snout, letting out a growl instead of a gasp when I find it longer. Longer than normal. Slowly, on unsteady massive feet I turn towards the mirror hung on the wall in the sitting room. A massive Silver furred Lycan stares at me, its eyes filled with horror. As the lowest Ranking Omega, I have never had the chance of travelling out and meeting other children of the goddess. So my knowledge of Lycantropy comes from books. But one thing I knew was Omegas never got to be lycans. The shock of my reflection had me staggering back into the refrigerator. It comes crashing down with a loud sound. My ears narrow into a sound in a nearby distance. Footsteps quickly coming closer. My heartbeat increases, the pack guards nearby must be coming to check what happened. Suddenly I feel myself being pushed down subconsciously. What’s happening?! A low growl answers from within. Soon enough, I find myself looking at things but with a certain drowsiness. My limbs begin moving on their own without my permission. I ran into the main part of the pack house before I knew it. The packdoor opens and the pack guards burst in. There’s a moment of pause as their eyes find mine, their mouths drop open. My body doesn’t give them time to respond, I’m running towards the side wall. I close my eyes. There’s a moment of pain spreading through my front. I feel the wall in front give way then the cool caress of the night breeze. When I open my eyes, I run deep into the forest away from the pack house, the field, Cassiel, Liora and closer to the pack border.CHAPTER 48 - THE COUNCIL CASSIEL Blood splashes on my face. “Well, that solves the problem now,” a familiar voice says. The crowd opens up to allow our former Delta and Beta to pass through. My wolf eyes narrow at the sight of Thorn. Cody's father; Gabriel, and Michael's dad; Thorn, stare at me, smiles on their faces. I can tell it's only Cody's dad's own that's genuine. Gabriel bows his head. “Alpha Cassiel.” I bow mine lower and the crowd follows. He deserves it. My eyes shift to Michael's father but unlike Cody, he doesn't bother acknowledging me and I don't bother too, the pack doesn't bother either. “...you shouldn't hesitate in taking out the bad ones eh, Alpha,” he conveys through the mindlink. “It makes you look weak.” My hand clenches into a fist, a memory running through my mind: ••• I walk through the house, a giddy grin on my face. I can still taste the sweetness of Elaris’ lips on mine. She had taken my first kiss and it was worth it. I begin heading up to my

CHAPTER 47 - THE SPYELARISI was expecting to see sweet entries first, something that would make me smile. Happy memories she would have wanted to say here to me herself. But what I see breaks my heart. °°° It reads; If anyone else ever reads this, it means they might have finally caught up with me. They are close right now. I can tell, their scent carries through the wind from miles away. They will never stop coming after me. The rules are always the same for me. Rule 1: New name for every town I go to. Unlike most Lycans who like staying in one place, one family, it seems like my mom was forced to move all the time, mixing with different species in the town, which is totally against our nature. Rule 2: Never stay past 3 nights. Rule 3: Don't trust anyone who offers help too fast. I'm so tired of this. I wish I was born normal. I met another Lycan today. He saw silver fur burst from my hand from my Lycan being unsettled about suppressing her for too long. He offered to h
CHAPTER 46 - BAG OF SWEETS CASSIEL Beneath my feet, there's an echo beneath the floorboards. One that I hadn't heard when I stepped on other places in the room. If the place wasn't this quiet, perhaps I wouldn't have heard it. I get to my knees and check around the floorboards. Luckily, it’s not something I would have to slam my fist into to see what's beneath. I take off the floorboards and there it is, a box. I pull it out and open it. There are gold jewelry inside, hairpins and finally a large book that looks like a journal. I pull it out, my fingers linger at the edge of the pages. No. This is private. I add it to the things I'm going to ship off to Elaris. ••• ELARIS I'm lounging in the house courtyard that morning when one of our guards at the pack border approached me, with a bag in his hand. “It was sent by the Ashmere Alpha,” He says, handing it over to me. I eye the bag curiously. What could Cassiel possibly have arranged for me? “Did you search thr
CHAPTER 45 - HER MOM'S BELONGINGSCASSIEL “What’s plan B? ”Cody asks. “You will find out if there's a need.” While they go to get the Job done, my gaze drifts to the fridge where Elaris' blood is kept. The bond connection between me and her feels sharper than it did before, it’s almost like it’s growing back to how it was before. I wonder if she would keep giving me her blood if she knew that. Which brings to the thought that Elaris is a powerful lycan and yet we have never sensed a hint of her lycan. “But have we never sensed a lycan in her?” The fact that there are some Lycans hiding in wolf packs makes me come to the conclusion that Elaris' mother had come to hide here too. I barely knew her, seeing I was a young pup when she died. Perhaps she had Elaris lycan blocked too. It pains me to know that Elaris had her first shift out of being hurt by me. The night of the bonding moon was when the pack guards saw the Lycan in the house and Elaris was the only one who ha
CHAPTER 44 - ARE YOU LEAVING ME?ELARIS “You have every right in my business, yes? But do I have any right to yours? You are being a bit hypocritical, don't you think? Malrik.” He keeps silent. I nod. “Yeah you get what I'm saying.” His face takes on a pained look. “It’s not like that, Lysara.” I swallow, blinking back the tears. “No, it’s exactly like that. Now that you've gotten what you wanted from them, when are you going to shut the place down?” His eyes lowers for a sec, then he meets my eyes again. “Lysara, I just came back, this is something we can discuss another…” I interrupt him, also taking a step closer towards him. “My father is there. I know you didn't know but I read the til and I…” There's a strange look on his face that makes my heart stutter. “Are you aware?” He hesitates then, “I didn't know before but I saw him there and I guessed from the light resemblance between you and him.” Hurt emotion. “Where are you going to tell me?” He goes silent once more.
CHAPTER 3 - I REJECTED HIM I let out a breath and forced myself to relax. When I turn back, there’s a fake smile plastered on my face. Soon enough I’m standing in front of Cassiel, Melody, Michael and our delta’s son; Cody. Michael grins at me. “In the two years that we left, you have already gr
CHAPTER 2 - CASSIEL's RETURNIt sends me tumbling to the ground once more, a ragged breath leaving me as the tears I had been holding back streamed down my face.I glanced up at my assaulter and immediately lowered my face when I saw its Beta Thorn. He doesn’t say a word, just steps over my trembli
CHAPTER 1 - The SlapI punched Cassiel in the face. He doesn’t fight back, just let me do it. I punch him harder, sinking my fist into his cheek.“What happened to us?” I whisper, my eyes lowering.“I’m not an expert at this but I'm sure that’s not the proper way to knead a dough,” Liora says as sh

In the literal sense. This happens either when a wolf had gone rogue or had lost their life. The latt
