Jane

Amira stayed with me as I trained, sitting on a bench and watching every move with those worried eyes. She kept offering me water, telling me to be careful, fussing over me like a mother hen.

“Baby girl, take it easy,” she said gently when I started getting too aggressive with the punching bag. “I don’t want you hurting yourself. You’re already going through so much.”

“I won’t, honey,” I replied. I drank the water she offered, letting her care soothe some of the rough edges of my anger. “I’ll be fine. Trust me.”

“Okay... but I still insist—take it easy. Promise me?”

“I promise. Now stop worrying so much. You’ll get wrinkles.”

She laughed at that, and the sound made me smile for real.

After saying goodbye to her with promises to call if I needed anything, I returned to my room feeling emotionally drained. The day had been too much—too many ups and downs, too many feelings.

I started undressing for a bath, looking forward to washing away the sweat and stress of the day. But then, w

Raymond“I’m just his beta. Please don’t reject me,” I begged. “Trust me, I’m not like him. I’m different.”She laughed, but it wasn’t mean. “I never said I was rejecting you, did I?”Hope filled my chest. “I was scared. I thought you would reject me because of what my Alpha did to your friend.”“No, I’m not rejecting you. I won’t judge you because of what your Alpha did to my friend. I will never deny the mate bond between us,” she whispered, stepping closer. “I’m already attracted to you.”I was so relieved that I pulled her against me. She fit perfectly in my arms like she was made for me. The mate bond hummed between us, warm and electric.“Thank you,” I whispered in her ear, breathing in her perfect smell. “You are absolutely beautiful, love. Can you tell me your name now?”“Ella. My name is Ella Hills.”Even her name was perfect.“I, Raymond Rain, accept you, Ella Hills, as my mate and female Beta.”“I, Ella Hills, accept you, Raymond Rain, as my mate and Beta.”The bond clicked

RaymondThe music was loud and pounded in my chest as I walked through the crowded club. Bright lights flashed everywhere, and it smelled like alcohol and sweat. I came here tonight to forget about my job as Beta. I just wanted to be Raymond, not the second-in-command of the Silver Moon Pack. That’s when I saw her sitting at the bar.She had long, dark hair and the saddest eyes I’d ever seen. Even in the dim light, I could tell she didn’t belong here. I wanted to buy her a drink and maybe make her smile.I had no idea she was the girl my Alpha had destroyed. Meeting her again was the last thing I could have ever imagined. The poor girl whose fated mate cruelly rejected her. Despite that, she remained as beautiful as ever, even more radiant than the last time I saw her at the party. Oh, Richard, I wished you could see her inner beauty.“You...!!!” I was stunned to see her. I introduced myself, and as soon as I told her I was Richard’s friend, she exuded a deadly aura that terrified me.

Jane“You’re looking absolutely stunning tonight, my princess,” he whispered seductively, his hot breath against my ear as he nibbled at the sensitive skin.I felt my treacherous body responding to his touch despite my mind screaming warnings.Who was this dangerously attractive guy? I couldn’t make out his eyes clearly in the pulsing club lights, but his muscular physique was undeniably enticing, drawing me in like a moth to flame.“Thank you,” I responded coldly, fighting against the unwelcome attraction coursing through my veins.“I’m Jason,” he introduced himself with a charming smile. “Care to share your name with me, princess?”“I’m Jane.”“Jane, can we go somewhere more private?” he suggested, his hand sliding possessively down my arm. “Just you and me, where we can get to know each other better.”Did he think I was there for a casual hookup? Did he see me as some kind of desperate call girl? Rage bubbled up in my chest, hot and fierce.“No, I’m here with my friends to have fun

JaneEncountering someone who recognized me in the dimly lit club had been an unexpected and unsettling turn of events. My heart skipped a beat when I heard my name called out by the stranger. I didn’t recognize the guy, but he seemed to know who I was.Perhaps he had been present at that devastating celebration party, where I had faced the most humiliating rejection of my life.“Oh yes, I’m Jane. And who might you be?” I asked the stranger, my voice dripping with suspicion and barely contained hostility.“Oh, my apologies! I didn’t mean to blurt that out like that,” he said, running a hand through his hair nervously. “I’m Raymond, Richard’s best friend and also the Beta of the Alpha King’s pack—your ex-mate.”Another piece of worthless trash. My blood boiled with rage at the mere mention of Richard’s name. He was associated with that heartless bastard who had destroyed my world.Birds of a feather flock together, after all. What could this spineless lackey possibly want from me?“Oh,

JaneA WEEK LATERI kept training every day. I worked hard and pushed myself to get stronger. Every punch, every kick, and every movement was for one reason - to get strong enough to kill Richard. The memory of his rejection still burned in my chest. The way he looked at me with disgust. The way he chose that other woman over me and tried to kill me. The pain was still fresh, even after having my wolf back.“You can do this, girl,” Amber said. She helped me train. I trained as a human, and she made me train as a wolf as well. With her help, I became a good fighter. I was ready to kill that man.“Your anger makes you strong, but don’t let it control you,” Amber warned me. “We need to be smart about this.”“I know,” I replied, hitting the training bag harder. “But I can’t forget what he did to us.”“Jane, when will you stop working so hard?” Amira shouted. “You have your wolf back. You can take your time planning revenge on him.”I looked up and saw both girls walking toward me.“You ne

Jane“Oh my God, it’s you, Amira!” I jumped back in surprise. “You scared me! What are you doing here?”“I came to surprise you,” she said with a smile. “I’ve been waiting for you. Where have you been? I missed you.”“I was training with Vishal,” I told her.“You’ve been training so hard lately. I think we should spend some time together as friends. What do you think?” she asked.“Amira, you know I don’t have time for fun. I have too much work to do. I can’t stop training. You know who I have to fight,” I said sadly. “I’m sorry.”“It’s okay. Take your time,” she whispered. “Let’s go inside.”I felt bad for saying no to her. It wasn’t her fault, and her idea wasn’t bad. But I had no time to be happy or have fun.I was only living for my revenge against Richard, the Alpha King who rejected and tried to kill me. Amira and I went inside, and she started talking about a guy she met.“Is he your mate?” I asked Amira. She was blushing, and I could see she was already in love.“I don’t think
