Ava’s heels clicked with imperious rhythm, her hands were clasped behind her back as she moved, her chin tilted high in a posture of superiority she wore like armor.

The maids trailed behind her nervously, carrying trays of folded linens and bowls of polished fruit.

“You,” Ava snapped suddenly, turning to glare at the youngest maid who struggled under the weight of a silver tray, “tilt that platter again and I will have you dismissed before nightfall. Is it so difficult to hold your hands steady? Or is incompetence the only thing you were born with?”

The girl’s eyes dropped instantly to the floor.

“I’m sorry, lady Ava—”

“Sorry doesn’t make the tray stop wobbling.” Ava’s sneer was merciless. “Control your arms. If Luna Seraphina were here, she would have sent you packing already. I’m kinder than she is. Remember that.”

The other maids exchanged fleeting glances but dared not speak.

Ava turned again, the sway of her silk skirt whispering against her legs as she resumed her walk. Her h

  • The Rejected Omega's Redemption    Voices in the Garden

The hallways of the mansion carried sound in strange ways. Even when Kaelyn walked with her head down and her steps quiet, she could hear the faint hiss of whispers that silenced the moment she passed. She could hear the rustle of skirts when maids gathered in corners, their words clipped short but their eyes lingering. The subtle, knowing glances of guards who pretended to look elsewhere but failed to mask their smirks. It was suffocating.Kaelyn kept her chin high despite the heat crawling across her cheeks. She told herself not to care—that gossip was nothing more than wind, fleeting and meaningless. Yet each murmur pricked like a thorn beneath her skin, each whisper a sharp reminder of what she had done.As she reached the archway leading into the mansion’s inner courtyard, she caught the sound of two voices just beyond.“Did you hear? She told Alpha Eugene she loved him.”“And after everything Luna Becca has done for her? What kind of guest betrays like that?”“Pathetic. And lo

  • The Rejected Omega's Redemption    The council hall

The council hall was nearly silent, save for the gentle scraping of quills and the faint shuffling of parchment. Councillor Hadrian exhaled deeply and set aside his quill. His knuckles cracked as he flexed his fingers, weary from the endless ink and decisions. At his right, Councillor Margot pushed her chair back and stood.“It is late,” she murmured. “We should adjourn before dawn finds us still debating scraps of parchment.”There was a low murmur of agreement from the rest of the council. One by one, chairs groaned as the councillors prepared to leave. But before the heavy doors could be unlatched, they swung open on their own, wide and forceful.Alpha Desmond walked in.His presence filled the room instantly. He carried with him the raw, feral authority of an Alpha who was unaccustomed to waiting—or being denied.“Still here?” Desmond’s voice cut like steel through the silence. “I thought you were the ones who claimed to work swiftly in matters of the crown. Yet days pass, and s

  • The Rejected Omega's Redemption    The Walk Back

Mira’s arms ached slightly as she balanced the silver tray of Becca’s snacks. The fragrance drifted upward, soothing and delicate, but Mira herself was anything but calm.Because behind her, Max followed like a stormcloud.“Are you going to ignore me all the way up this hall?” Max’s voice was tight, a low growl that matched the tension in his stride.Mira exhaled sharply through her nose. “I’m not ignoring you, Max. I just don’t think this is the time or place for another one of your interrogations.”“Interrogations?” He snorted. “That’s what you call me trying to keep you safe?”Mira stopped suddenly, spinning on her heel so quickly the tray wobbled. Max’s hands twitched as though to steady it, but he forced them back to his sides. His dark eyes burned into hers.“You embarrassed me in front of half the kitchen,” Mira said, her tone flat but her cheeks still hot with remembered anger. “All because I was talking to Jack.”Max stepped closer, his broad shoulders casting her in shadow.

  • The Rejected Omega's Redemption    A Bargain of Hearts

The sunlight was lazy this afternoon, spilling through the tall windows of Becca’s chamber in gold threads.Alpha Eugene sat at the edge of Becca’s bed, tall and tense, his shoulders rigid beneath his dark shirt. His eyes, usually calm but always alert, were fixed on her, though not with his usual warmth. There was something heavier there, something pained.Becca stood a few feet away, her back to him, pretending to be busy straightening the folds of her bedsheet, though she had already done it twice. Her fingers trembled against the fabric, betraying the calm tone she forced into her voice.“You heard me, Eugene,” she said, her tone clipped. “Tonight. We should consummate our bond tonight.”The words hung in the air like a sword, sharp and unforgiving.Eugene inhaled slowly, willing his voice to remain steady. “Becca…” he said softly, though there was a growl buried underneath. “Do you even hear yourself?”She turned then, facing him. Her eyes, so often fiery and defiant, were gua

  • The Rejected Omega's Redemption    The Space Between Us

The kitchen was quiet, save for the soft clinking of plates and the faint aroma of warm bread and honey drifting in the air. Mira hummed under her breath as she carefully arranged the snacks on a tray—small fruit tarts, slices of spiced bread, and a cup of warm herbal tea that always seemed to ease Becca’s nerves. She had gone out of her way today, more than usual, making the food by hand instead of leaving it to the maids. She wanted it to mean something. She wanted Becca to feel… cared for.Mira tightened her grip on the tray as she thought about Kaelyn’s confession. "If I had said something, maybe Becca could have braced herself. Maybe it wouldn’t have felt like such a betrayal" Mira said to herself. The sound of footsteps broke into her thoughts. Heavy, steady, with the faint squeak of boots against the polished floor. When she looked up, she nearly dropped the tray.Jack.He walked into the kitchen with his hair was damp with sweat, sticking slightly to his forehead, and his tr
