Eugene stood on the stone path outside the stables, the sound of his boots crunching underfoot as a stablehand approached, leading his black horse by the reins.

"Your horse is ready, Alpha," the stablehand said with a bow.

Eugene gave a soft nod, his expression calm, but there was a flicker of anticipation in his eyes.

He patted the horse's strong neck.

"Good boy, Helios."
