Chapter Forty-Two

Narrator’s POV

Mikaela’s dead. But her husband could not even wail for her. There were still four wolves and he’s surrounded.

 Detective Andrews was beyond angered. He felt nothing but disgust to these beasts. He aimed at the nearest wolf but was pushed back by another. He was sent flying across the living room, landing inside the kitchen down the floor. The door was smashed by the impact.

He groaned in pain but felt the shotgun still fastened tightly on his left arm. This gave him a slight hint of hope. He staggered to wrap his hands at the handle of the gun and pull it up to his chest.

He kept his stance lying on the floor with the approaching paws of his attackers became clearer on his vision. He gradually made himself face-up the growling critters. He hold the shotgun upside down aiming for the gas stove a mere feet away from him.
