LOGINZoe slowly blinked as the morning light filtered through the hospital window. The faint smell of disinfectant filled the room, reminding her immediately where she was. The pack hospital, again. Her body still felt heavy and weak, like every muscle had been drained of strength. For a moment, she simply lay there staring at the ceiling, trying to piece together what had happened.Fragments of memory flickered in her mind. Training grounds. Laura’s taunts. Celeste is losing control. Zack’s voice. Then… darkness. A soft knock interrupted her thoughts. The door opened slowly, and Zack stepped inside. He looked exhausted.Dark circles sat under his eyes, and his usually confident posture seemed slightly tense, almost nervous.“You’re awake,” he said quietly. Zoe turned her head toward him. “How long have I been here?” “Two weeks,” Zack replied. Her eyes widened. “Two weeks?”He nodded. “You collapsed after the fight. The doctor said your body was overloaded. Celeste released too much power.”
The three boys who had attacked me earlier slowly climbed back to their feet. Rage burned in their eyes as they rushed at me again. Celeste moved faster than any of them expected. Before they could even reach us, she lunged forward, kicking the first boy square in the face. The force sent him crashing to the ground. The second barely had time to react before Celeste grabbed him by the collar and twisted his neck just enough to knock him unconscious. The third tried to swing at us, but Celeste caught his arm and slammed him down beside the others. One by one, she twisted their necks just as she had done with Claire—enough to disable them without killing them.Gasps spread through the warriors watching the fight. Celeste straightened slowly, her cold gaze settling on Laura. “Laura,” she said in a calm but deadly voice. “You are very wrong for forcing me to come out.”Her voice echoed through the field. “Unlike Zoe, I do not have the patience to show mercy to my opponents.” She gestured
Zack slowly stepped back, running a hand through his hair as if trying to regain control. “We have to stop, Zoe,” he said with a frustrated sigh. His hands gently adjusted my top back into place.“I don’t want to take advantage of you. I want to earn your trust first… completely. Before we even think about going further.”His eyes softened with regret. “I already did something terrible when I marked you before you were ready. I don’t want you to regret anything else that happens between us.”His words surprised me; most Alpha males would have taken what they wanted, especially during moments like that. Yet Zack had stopped himself.“Why do I feel… different?” I asked quietly.Zack studied me carefully. “You’re probably starting to come into heat,” he explained. “Your body is reacting to the mark. It’s preparing itself.”My eyes widened. “Shit,” I muttered. “This isn’t good.” Inside my mind, Celeste perked up immediately. Why isn’t it good? she asked happily. It means we can have pups.
Zoe POVAfter we finished our shopping, Jessica grabbed my arm before we reached the car. “We’re not done yet,” she said with a mischievous smile.I frowned. “What do you mean?. “We’re ending this girls’ day properly, Spa Now.”Before I could protest, she was already dragging me toward a luxury spa on the corner of the street. An hour later, I was lying face down on a massage table while a therapist worked the tension out of my shoulders.Jessica sighed dramatically from the next table. “I might actually move here,” she murmured. “This place understands me.”“You say that about every spa,” I laughed.“Because every spa understands me.” After the massages came the hair and nails. Jessica went first, choosing a deep red polish and soft waves that made her look effortlessly stunning. When it was my turn, the stylist studied my face carefully “A layered cut with curls would suit you beautifully,” she said. I hesitated for a moment, then I nodded. “Let’s do it.”Forty minutes later, she tu
Alpha Jacob / Sebastian POV“Zoe definitely reminds us of Sasha,” I muttered to Sebastian. “She’s sweet… just like our sister was. I’m really going to miss her.”“I know, Jacob. She healed us, even since the day we met her. Meliss and Tiana would be proud—we’ve finally allowed ourselves to feel again and put the pack first after so many years of locking our hearts away,” Seb whispered.“But now… we must let her go. It’s her time to grow, to be the Luna of this pack,” he added, voice heavy with regret.I nodded. “I know.”I was about to rest when there was a knock at the door.“Jacob, you awake?”“Come in,” I said, attempting to sit up.“I told you to rest,” she said, a small smirk on her face. “And I could say the same for you—you should be in la-la land.”I exhaled. “Why are you here?”“I just… wanted to talk.” She looked down, voice quiet. “I want to go home. Back to Red Water.”“This is your home now,” I said gently. “Your bond with Red Water has been broken. You’re meant to be the
As I leave Jacob's hospital room, Lucas hugs me, "Be strong, he will get through this". I hug him back and nod, trying not to cry in the current situation.'I am going to head to my room. I need to clean myself up. I shall see all of you later'While walking towards the pack house, I scream at Celeste, "How could you mark him? Why couldn't you realise that I wasn't ready to mark anyone? You knew how I felt, yet you went and did it. We are supposed to be together in this. You just completely disappointed me' Before she could say anything, I told her to shut her mouth 'I don't want to hear what you have to say. I don't want to speak to you at all. Don't even bother sending me images of that bastard, cause i don't want to see it'As I head into the shower, I enjoy the hot water on my body; it washes away all the blood, the pain, and the anxiety. I got dressed and headed toward the pack's dining room. I bumped into my brother.'How are you? He asked'I am fine, thanks for asking, I saidH
